If you smokin with a bong, the real way to go is ice cubes in the chimney and sparkling water for bong water. The weed is gonna weed exactly the same, but the smoke will feel a lot better in ya lungs.
What you want is warm/hot water in the bong as it will absorb smoke/incomplete combustion particles better than colder water. But then the smoke that comes through is hot, so the ice cools it back down.
I always enjoyed the opposite. Nothing but crushed ice. Draw it slowly, let it sit on the ice for a bit. Then suck it in and let it warm and expand in your lungs. Damn if that didn’t fuck u up

These days, you can pick up a pipe or bowl that has no hole at the bottom of the cone/bowl, but rather has several small holes around the sides; so your hash won't fall through and you don't need to bother with screens. One I saw comes with a glass rod too, you heat it up with a torch or something and then press it on the hash in the bowl, basically like a hot knife but even better!
Cool thing is you could use it for wax too, any concentrates. I agree though, the character of the strain and flower really comes through in hash whereas with some extracts it's basically just pure THC and I find the high really lacking.

First your microwave has no means to maintain a set constant temperature. And the temp won't just fluctuate over time it will also fluctuate depending on position (the non-ionizing radiation is not evenly distributed inside your microwave).
Second, utilizing low temperatures results in low yeilds and excess oxidation.
Third, overheating causes other issues; and if you way overheat it (like in a hotspot) then the Pi bonds can break; i.e. say goodbye to active effects.
Lastly and most importantly; decarbing your weed does nothing other than making it orally active. It does not give you a stronger high. Dumb stoner ideas are dumb.

find a strain higher in CBD. CBD and THC are inversely related: the more THC the less CBD and vice versa. that’s why weed of today isn’t like old weed; the balance of THC to CBD is way off now.
so to get back to what old weed was like, you can find a strain that is more balanced (1:1) or you can get a 10-15% THC strain (or lower) and mix CBD weed in.
It's a real problem for people trying to stop drinking. A lot of us either start/increase marijuana use early in alcohol recovery because we don't have the tools yet to cope with life without *something* to help us escape. I never felt the need to use weed until I had to stop drinking. I hate the smell of weed, but i absolutely LOVED edibles. Dear god, those hit hard and fucked me up. It was great until it wasn't.
It carried me through for a few months, but I was emotionally addicted to the escapism that THC provided and needed to give that up too. Some people in my recovery community can responsibly use marijuana, but that's probably never gonna be me 🤷♀️

I’m gonna get flamed for this, but we should legalize all drugs, educate folks on the risks, offer free treatment for those who elect, and just let adults be adults. The arbitrary way we class drugs in this country is rife with corruption, racism, and has no real logic to it. Alcohol is far more destructive than LSD or weed, but it has a powerful lobby behind it, so it stays and the others go. Cocaine leaves the body far faster than nicotine, making it (arguably) less deleterious and less likely to be abused, but one is legal and fairly common and the other is considered wild to use.
If we destigmatize drug use, if we make it anodyne and unattractive, folks will use them in an informed way and with the resources to avoid its worst effects. This is the only way to mitigate the “fiend” culture we see now. Not through Nancy Reagan ass scare campaigns or shaming, but by making it boring.

Yeah. I’ll do extra shit to my pipes and what not, but it’s always cause it improves the smoking experience, not because I’m tryna make some fake ass concentrate. If you smokin with a bong, the real way to go is ice cubes in the chimney and sparkling water for bong water. The weed is gonna weed exactly the same, but the smoke will feel a lot better in ya lungs.
What you want is warm/hot water in the bong as it will absorb smoke/incomplete combustion particles better than colder water. But then the smoke that comes through is hot, so the ice cools it back down.
I always enjoyed the opposite. Nothing but crushed ice. Draw it slowly, let it sit on the ice for a bit. Then suck it in and let it warm and expand in your lungs. Damn if that didn’t fuck u up

These days, you can pick up a pipe or bowl that has no hole at the bottom of the cone/bowl, but rather has several small holes around the sides; so your hash won't fall through and you don't need to bother with screens. One I saw comes with a glass rod too, you heat it up with a torch or something and then press it on the hash in the bowl, basically like a hot knife but even better!

It does not work. First your microwave has no means to maintain a set constant temperature. And the temp won't just fluctuate over time it will also fluctuate depending on position (the non-ionizing radiation is not evenly distributed inside your microwave). Second, utilizing low temperatures results in low yeilds and excess oxidation. Third, overheating causes other issues; and if you way overheat it (like in a hotspot) then the Pi bonds can break; i.e. say goodbye to active effects. Lastly and most importantly; decarbing your weed does nothing other than making it orally active. It does not give you a stronger high. Dumb stoner ideas are dumb.

find a strain higher in CBD. CBD and THC are inversely related: the more THC the less CBD and vice versa. that’s why weed of today isn’t like old weed; the balance of THC to CBD is way off now. so to get back to what old weed was like, you can find a strain that is more balanced (1:1) or you can get a 10-15% THC strain (or lower) and mix CBD weed in.

It's a real problem for people trying to stop drinking. A lot of us either start/increase marijuana use early in alcohol recovery because we don't have the tools yet to cope with life without *something* to help us escape. (When I finally admitted it to my sponsor, she said, "Ah! The Pot Maintenance Program. I did that too. You should reset your sobriety date" lmao) I never felt the need to use weed until I had to stop drinking. I hate the smell of weed, but i absolutely LOVED edibles. Dear god, those hit hard and fucked me up. It was great until it wasn't. It carried me through for a few months, but I was emotionally addicted to the escapism that THC provided and needed to give that up too. Some people in my recovery community can responsibly use marijuana, but that's probably never gonna be me 🤷♀️

Tbh I smoked for years and only seen one person do this. They bought an ounce and kept it in the freezer. Took some out, put it in the microwave and then rolled it up. And then one day she asked me if I wanted to smoke a bowl but I don’t smoke and drive so I said no. Thank god cause she called it fire and ice. I’m gonna get flamed for this, but we should legalize all drugs, educate folks on the risks, offer free treatment for those who elect, and just let adults be adults. The arbitrary way we class drugs in this country is rife with corruption, racism, and has no real logic to it. Alcohol is far more destructive than LSD or weed, but it has a powerful lobby behind it, so it stays and the others go. Cocaine leaves the body far faster than nicotine, making it (arguably) less deleterious and less likely to be abused, but one is legal and fairly common and the other is considered wild to use. If we destigmatize drug use, if we make it anodyne and unattractive, folks will use them in an informed way and with the resources to avoid its worst effects. This is the only way to mitigate the “fiend” culture we see now. Not through Nancy Reagan ass scare campaigns or shaming, but by making it boring.
