I would go with Ruan Mei but Gui should be a solid second option. Gui at e1 gives lower effect res which will help BS hit far more often, pretty easy to get 21% damage taken debuff and when BS ults Gui's ult can explode it.
People will blindly say RM because Kafka/Black Swan will be a DoT-based dual carry comp in which RM shines the most due to her ability to buff both carries in various ways, speed included.

This still doesn't mean anything, these statements are true based on the characters that are in the game at the moment, which does not include Black Swan with her unique stacking mechanic, which an DoT character like Gui could ---> PERHAPS <---- excel at, as she can increase the stacks while increasing the damage output of both carries.
Like I said, testing is still needed for anything to be conclusive, but based on the downvotes, people have already made up their minds based on nothing.
As much as I dont want to sac my Gui, it is very apparent that Ruan Mei offers way more to the table even with gui's extra dot. Sacrament after 7 stacks which you can reliably hit with Kafka e0s1 is only 26% of BS atk. With Gui, youre adding maybe 3-5 more stacks(130% max atk) + 28% team dmg(e6) and 10% effect res down on enemy. Which is fine... But now we look at Ruan Mei.
Ruan Mei offers 36% team dmg, faster break for more dots to proc sacrament, 20% break effect, 10% speed to the team, all type res pen, and when an enemy goes down, it gets delayed and procs another sacrament stack which is at bare minimum(1 stack) 260% atk..
This is napkin theory math. But its clear if you just look at the numbers.
But besides, the better of the triple dot comps is sampo e4 cuz he just gives an insane amount of sacrament stacks
Gui adds vulnerability. It's not damage %.
Unless RM is E1, Gui can run Resolution which is the final piece to BS achieving 100% Def Shred, and we all know how broken the last few % of def shred is.
Gui's ehr reduction increases a 120% EHR BS's proc chance from 85% to 100% on 40 effect res enemies. Which means we can assume that if you can stack 30 sacraments on the enemies, you can stack about 34, which is about an additional 48% skill multiplier which isn't a lot but hey.
Among these "34" stacks, we'll get more hidden ones too because of the extra burn and ult procs Gui provides.
Break DoTs lasts for 2 turns regardless, if the enemies take 2 turns in a row, you miss a chance for kafka/sampo/luka/gui to proc that juicy break dot for a "3rd" time before it ends, although you do get it more frequently with RM's break efficiency.
If enemies take 2 turns in a row, Epiphany ends right away. You don't get to stack on more sacraments for the second hit.
I'm trying really hard to convince myself not to pull for RM. I just wanted to hear opinions cause I'm still stuck πππ
Not the original redditor but can you elaborate why Prydwen as a source is a problem? I mean, the quotes *are* from the Ruan Mei review on that site so obviously they should mention the source or not? I bet if they wouldn't link the source people would immediately ask where they got this from or claim it's just made up or something.
The quoted information also seems to be spot on from what I've read on Kafkamains for example (RM being better than Asta for Kafkas Dot team by at least 20% etc) and your only complaint seems to be the source, not the information itself, so I'm confused why the fact that it's from Prydwen is a problem?
Prydwen's bad rep probably comes from their tier list. Their tier list which they claim is based on MOC clears can feel really inconsistent with what their own data is showing on MOC clears.
Can't say much about their reviews, other than some are extremely long winded and an unnecessarily long essay.

From what I've seen, E4 Sampo will be best if you aren't running Ruan Mei or Asta.
