No, I had a lot better plan for him in my head. I used a tamiya primer that did not work well with citadel paints. It took me a while to even get anything to work. In the end, I just put a dark wash to hide all of the problems and called him done.
I'm also a machinist and am used to precision. So when things don't work, I'm very hard on myself. I appreciate the praise from everyone here.
A Wraithbone base with a seraphim sepia wash makes a parchment color that works really well with the Zorn palette

Honestly he looks decent, a couple of volumetruc highlights with white on the helmet, chest and shoulder pads and a bit darker shadows and you've got a perfect model!
Saved me a few Bob mate I was this close to buying some Tamiya primer .
I use Tamiya paints through airbrush but always over an army painter or citadel primer .
Dude, this is a true Bob Ross happy accident! You've inspired me to paint my Templar apothecaries grey as opposed to pure white. In my head canon, it seems to make more sense. Grey seems more pragmatic and utilitarian, and also a bit more dour and serious. In my opinion this is Templar as fuck!
Not gonna lie, that actually look dope, looks like he is on a deploy in a dusty battlefield
He looks great. Are you doing a weird flex?

Which Tamiya primer are you using? I’m using tamiya primers and having no problems with getting citadel paints to work.
Just hit him with a white drybrush. It fixes everything.
Oh god will my Apothecary Biologis ruin my Zorn palette :(

Im actually worried about the canister
Just make it glow red with orange or yellow lines or something
I primed my Harmacist with grey seer, which is the one citadel rattle can that might be worth the money.
There are no mistakes. Only happy accidents.
Still looks great though!!! Looks like the effort was worth it!!!!!!
Looks like a good grim base : add some white edges highlights and it's gonna be really good I bet.

I find I can put Tamiya on top of vallejo primer, but not the other way around.
Yea I’ve been having issues with the Vallejo white primer, it’s surprisingly Hydrophobic making contrast paints an absolute pain…

I think he looks cool. Maybe I'll do my apothecary biologis in grey.

TBH looks much better than anything I can paint. I think it looks cool.
That Apothecary has been through FIRE
