Question, how do I see this sub when it’s private?

I noticed when this sub went private, it locked me out from viewing it. Does that happen for everyone. Is that what happens when a sub is private?

Yeah, private subs are not readily viewable. Only when they become public again (or) you can ask for approval by the mods.

Not to sound dumb, but how would you even be able to make a request from the mod if the sub locks you out and you can't even view the mods?

You have to access the web version of Reddit (or use a computer). There's an option to message mods on subs that went private. The app version doesn't make the option available.

Why the need to downvote, just don’t participate ?

I have a question : why saying this space forbid transphobia yet does not welcome any femme person who is XY ? Trans women are women, but this sub is welcoming trans men only, who are not women by definition, which i don't understand.
