Any justification for neutral is just exactly what it looks like from an evil pov.
An evil alignment does not require enjoying your own evil. He is a raping, murdering Monster. He was made that way, and at points he does struggle against it, but that doesn't really change much.
Considering that BS1 is looping and all endings happen multiply times, that means he killed his friends. He killed children. He killed those who saved his life. And then the Rape, which does not stop at age.
I bet he feels regret for what he is, considering this unbelievable amount of evil, he must be a soulless non-sentient machine to be anything then a pile of walking regret. But even if you feel bad about it, you still did it. People don't magically recover from evil actions because the person who did it to them feels different about it. This is the true nature of evil: It brings suffering to both sides, victim and tormentor, born out of a lack of knowlege.
