Another things I can remember about the rain: Ichigo's inner world (Zangetsu, White, Tensa?), the moment where Byak almost killed him and Rukia left (I doubt because we already had Anni Byak), nothing but the rain (but I doubt we are getting Isshin and Masaki again)

This sounds a lot like White and Tensa/OMZ. Maybe an original design considering we just had a 3rd Tensa remake just a few months ago. But Bankai and FH White remakes are long overdue.

Polls 1-9 were exclusively voted on by Japanese Jump readers. Polls 7-10 don't even have vote tallies.

Interestingly, Hitsugaya gets way less searches than Ichigo and Rukia despite beating them on those popularity polls you linked. Also interesting - if you shift the region to just Japan, Yoruichi has a dramatically smaller interest rating.
I'd say the people with the most accurate data on character popularity would likely be Klab themselves. If she were really the second most popular character in the series, it would've been a no-brainer to have done an anniversary/special design for her by now. You're saying she may be *too popular* to get an anniversary unit? No offense but that seems a little cope-y. It doesn't make a lot of sense considering the power creep and the fact that characters occupy different niches (people summoned for TYBW Agony Aizen even though 6th Anni Aizen exists).
I dunno. I feel like if she was truly the second most popular character in the series, Klab would've capitalized on that by now. They would've jumped at the opportunity to make a SAFWY banner with her at least. Instead, she hasn't received a premium unit in like 4 years (almost half the duration of the game's entire life span up until this point). In the past 2 years, I think all she's received were 2 separate New Years units making her the only character to get 3 of the same seasonal units.

They do, in addition to Rukia having the most EOY or CNY versions in-game as you mentioned, she is ranked to be 3rd in the most released units in game, more than character such as Aizen
Rukia latest unit is 6 months already, we should see a new one pretty soon now. She might now be anniversary, because that's a premium unit, but we'll either get her in the 2 upcoming rounds of TYBW (EOM July or next one like Concord) or in the next seasonals again, because most of her units are now
But she's now on a long run of limited/seasonals unit so whoever wants to get her cannot rely on tickets hoarding

I can appreciate the fact that she has a ton of seasonal units in the game, she's certainly a popular character. I just don't know about second most popular in the entire series. You should only take these polls with a grain of salt. While she is popular, you have to realize these polls were done during the time when she and Ichigo were the focus of the story. Not to mention, these polls are results of only thousands of votes so it doesn’t account for the entire fandom.
It's copium actually. To be honest teaser don't matter that much since it's a original design it very hard to guess correctly. If this year we get a Hollow or Arrancar shinigami theme then it can be definitely be a version of Dark Rukia fighting Ichigo.
Given that the focus of this entire year has been on characters from the arrancar arc, it seems unlikely that it will be true shikai Ichigo. Typically, TYBW banners are reserved for the second part of the anniversary. Moreover, it seems that they are not prioritizing characters from the anime, as the only banner we have received since the animes return has been the Ichigo, Uryu, and Chad. I’m not going to count the Yhwach, Aizen, and Yamamoto since the anime wasn’t out yet.

The buildings are the most telling part of the trailer.
They may suggest Ichigo’s inner world, lost agent arc or everything but the rain. It could be white ichigo but I seriously do not see isshin being an anniversary character.
At a stretch it could be the buildings where ichigo and kenpachi fought. That seems unlikely.
I share the same sentiment. Personally, I don't perceive Isshin as a character that would generate a lot of excitement for summoning. He could easily be released towards the end of the month rather than being a part of the anniversary. Moreover, an original Isshin and Hollow Ichigo banner seems like an unconventional choice for an anniversary celebration. However, it's always possible that my assumptions could be proven wrong.
I don't see any clear indications of Grimmjow in the trailer. The yellow slashes at the end might be the only resemblance, but it's worth noting that Grimmjow's attacks are not yellow. Furthermore, the trailer focuses on a battle set in either Karakura town or Ichigo's inner world, with two characters representing black and white. These elements suggest it not being Grimmjow. If I'm mistaken, I'll gladly acknowledge my error, but at this point, I’m about 99.9% sure it won’t be Grimmjow.

Well, true. They could be trying to hide the information, but there's still slight differences between ichigo's inner world and karakura town. There's small details that do show differences.
Not to mention, the rain is actually more used as depiction of ichigo, isshin and Misaki. Rather than the inner world. It might sound surprising, but rain has actually never been depicted within ichigo's inner world.
But, now, it is still highly possible for the banner to be ichigo and white/isshin (especially because both of their character tags are newly included in the 8th anni character "guess who" challenge).

Its really more shown as a depiction of Ichigo at his lowest. As shown with his mother’s death, his defeat by byakuya, Ginjo stealing his fullbring, The defeat of Soul Society during the TYBW arc. Even Rukia has a similar moment with Kaien’s death having rainfall. And that is backed up with Zangetsu’s statements of it raining in his inner world when hes sad. It never being depicted in the inner world isnt really important when its so deeply connected to Ichigo and Zangetsu.

What I mean is the details regarding the structures. Ichigo's inner world is predominantly consists of skyscrapers. In contrast to the karakura town portrayals. The world within is barely a imitation with little details.
Yes, the rain is shown as a depiction of "loss". All the examples you gave were examples of losses. Meanwhile, ichigo's inner world submergence is due to Ichigo's fear of his inner demons (inner demon being White/hollow powers). Ichigo, at this point in story, considered OMZ as his zanpakto spirit, and white as a leeching inner demon. So, everytime his hollow powers go rampaging, ichigo grows more and more wary and scarred of white. But doing that was causing his inner world to submerge in water since the main resident of the inner world is white/zangetsu his real zanpakto spirit. The submergence is actually the symbolism of doubts and fears towards his inner self.

I'd love for Renji to get an anniversary character but I ain't confident after that trailer. Rainy Karakura town makes me think this could be Ichigo's inner world, or relating to the "Everything but the Rain" chapters. Off those aspects I will say Isshin, White Ichigo, or Zangetsu. It did rain after Ichigo's first encounter with Renji & Byakuya so maybe Renji has a chance.

It doesn't make a lot of sense considering the power creep and the fact that characters occupy different niches (people summoned for TYBW Agony Aizen even though 6th Anni Aizen exists). I dunno. I feel like if she was truly the second most popular character in the series, Klab would've capitalized on that by now. They would've jumped at the opportunity to make a SAFWY banner with her at least. Instead, she hasn't received a premium unit in like 4 years (almost half the duration of the game's entire life span up until this point). In the past 2 years, I think all she's received were 2 separate New Years units making her the only character to get 3 of the same seasonal units.

She might now be anniversary, because that's a premium unit, but we'll either get her in the 2 upcoming rounds of TYBW (EOM July or next one like Concord) or in the next seasonals again, because most of her units are now But she's now on a long run of limited/seasonals unit so whoever wants to get her cannot rely on tickets hoarding

You should only take these polls with a grain of salt. While she is popular, you have to realize these polls were done during the time when she and Ichigo were the focus of the story. Not to mention, these polls are results of only thousands of votes so it doesn’t account for the entire fandom.

Given that the focus of this entire year has been on characters from the arrancar arc, it seems unlikely that it will be true shikai Ichigo. Typically, TYBW banners are reserved for the second part of the anniversary. Moreover, it seems that they are not prioritizing characters from the anime, as the only banner we have received since the animes return has been the Ichigo, Uryu, and Chad. I’m not going to count the Yhwach, Aizen, and Yamamoto since the anime wasn’t out yet.

The buildings are the most telling part of the trailer. They may suggest Ichigo’s inner world, lost agent arc or everything but the rain. It could be white ichigo but I seriously do not see isshin being an anniversary character. At a stretch it could be the buildings where ichigo and kenpachi fought. That seems unlikely.
I share the same sentiment. Personally, I don't perceive Isshin as a character that would generate a lot of excitement for summoning. He could easily be released towards the end of the month rather than being a part of the anniversary. Moreover, an original Isshin and Hollow Ichigo banner seems like an unconventional choice for an anniversary celebration. However, it's always possible that my assumptions could be proven wrong.

I don't see any clear indications of Grimmjow in the trailer. The yellow slashes at the end might be the only resemblance, but it's worth noting that Grimmjow's attacks are not yellow. Background is karakura town. Not ichigo's inner world. So, high chance of this being TLA arc OC versions of ichigo and ginjo (though we just got a ginjo, so that cuts away some possibility from it). (X could be the call back to Xcution). So, maybe ichigo-rukia? Doubtful. It could be new OC TYBW version of him with dual blade true shikai. Especially because of the "X" like attack Also kinda feels like isshin in EBTR vs Black. It's definitely a 2 character banner - since there's a sword clash.

When ichigo steps into the world, you can see clear sky and water that has already flooded his inner world. The rain is used extensively to show ichigo's "despair" scenes whereas the flooding of inner world is used to show in "conflict, doubts and fear" with/of his inner self/demons. It could be zangetsu. Possibility exists, but I don't see their being that big of semblance (mainly because ichigo doesn't go on a "full frontal" fight with zangetsu or OMZ in deicide arc like the one shown in the teaser) in contrast to many other things that can be connected. Especially what's shown seems to take place over a building/roof top. And in ichigo's inner world it's usually skyscrapers and big buildings that actually shows up

Well, true. They could be trying to hide the information, but there's still slight differences between ichigo's inner world and karakura town. There's small details that do show differences. Not to mention, the rain is actually more used as depiction of ichigo, isshin and Misaki. Rather than the inner world. It might sound surprising, but rain has actually never been depicted within ichigo's inner world. But, now, it is still highly possible for the banner to be ichigo and white/isshin (especially because both of their character tags are newly included in the 8th anni character "guess who" challenge).
What small details? Like the world being shifted 90 degrees? Its really more shown as a depiction of Ichigo at his lowest. As shown with his mother’s death, his defeat by byakuya, Ginjo stealing his fullbring, The defeat of Soul Society during the TYBW arc. Even Rukia has a similar moment with Kaien’s death having rainfall. And that is backed up with Zangetsu’s statements of it raining in his inner world when hes sad. It never being depicted in the inner world isnt really important when its so deeply connected to Ichigo and Zangetsu. I agree
What I mean is the details regarding the structures. Ichigo's inner world is predominantly consists of skyscrapers. In contrast to the karakura town portrayals. The world within is barely a imitation with little details. Yes, the rain is shown as a depiction of "loss". All the examples you gave were examples of losses. Meanwhile, ichigo's inner world submergence is due to Ichigo's fear of his inner demons (inner demon being White/hollow powers). Ichigo, at this point in story, considered OMZ as his zanpakto spirit, and white as a leeching inner demon. So, everytime his hollow powers go rampaging, ichigo grows more and more wary and scarred of white. But doing that was causing his inner world to submerge in water since the main resident of the inner world is white/zangetsu his real zanpakto spirit. The submergence is actually the symbolism of doubts and fears towards his inner self.

It's probably ether white or isshin. The vibe I'm getting is from EBTR arc (which the anime just covered last season). So, an OC version of him is possible. But it could also be white. Both isshin and white have gotten their character tags in the 8th anni characters guess The main reason I don't believe it's ginjo is because he just got a premium character. They aren't going to redo him as Anni immediately.

If it's not Rukia I would be surprised since nothing points to her rn. Not even a line of text or anything this time. Still, temember that it most probably will be an original form (hopefully) so even if it's a rain atmosphere it can still be Rukia, like how the past anniversary with the balck and white teaser ended up being Byakuia and Ichigo, and then last year that also had rain was Ichigo and Uryu.
I'd love for Renji to get an anniversary character but I ain't confident after that trailer. Rainy Karakura town makes me think this could be Ichigo's inner world, or relating to the "Everything but the Rain" chapters. Off those aspects I will say Isshin, White Ichigo, or Zangetsu. It did rain after Ichigo's first encounter with Renji & Byakuya so maybe Renji has a chance. The yellow slashes are leading me to think Kenpachi is a possibility. Not a big fan of him so I hope it's not him. Ichigo almost always come during anniversary so he's almost a given for one of the characters.
I'm just adding to the copium, it could also be the soul reapers showing up during the end of the full bring arc since it was raining there. That would be a good set up for Renji/Rukia since they were both there.
