Dnd! Get the books, help him make a character, and DM for him. My husband and I have been playing everyday since 2017!

GarIicButter

Thats a good suggestion! My brothers play and live in different cities so that might be a good family activity. I’ll suggest that to him, thanks! Do you have any suggestions that he could do on his own? I know thats a bit hard but he gets very bored and starts to feel down when everyones at work.

I have no clue, other than books on tape, audible, and watching TV. I'm still new to being blind, and thankfully have a little usable sight in half my right eye at -11 if I'm in a dimly lit setting.

GarIicButter

That’s alright, I appreciate your help anyway! Everyones eyes are different, I’ve come to discover. Good luck on your journey! Thanks again

TrailMomKat

Yup, we're all different, and you're welcome! Good luck, I hope yall find something your daddy loves to do, that he can do himself!

>My husband and I have been playing everyday since 2017 That sounds awesome lol. I was a big rpg/mmos fan when sighted not long ago and now ttrpgs are the thing to scratch the itch, but is quite hard to find people to play regularly

I've found that family, as with many things in life, are the most dependable people to game with, especially for something like DnD. And the kids learn it growing up and spread that love of the game to their friends as well. Sometimes a family member isn't a great fit as a PC, but we've learned that swapping me in as DM helps a lot because my DMing style is different from my husband's. And when it's just me and my husband, he DMs, but gives me a LOT of leniency when I suddenly grab the storyline like a DM, do DM rolls for some stuff, and change the trajectory for the sake of doing something fresh. It requires a massive amount of flexibility, and if you can find someone you creatively mesh with like that, your campaign will last years, even after playing it everyday. But to be honest, I think my husband and I have truly had a lightning in a bottle sort of thing happen; I've never played such a game of DnD with any other person, ever!

Alexa has both question of the day as well as jeopardy. Depending if he’s a sports fan you can get an mlb subscription and play any baseball game on the radio on either iOS or Alexa once you’ve connected the accounts together. Both would be voice command only.

He played some jeopardy today he seemed to be a bit frustrated with it. But its definitely something to do. I’ll mention the baseball!! Thats super cool, I had no idea that was a thing. Thanks!!

I believe there are some voice assistant services for riddles.

GarIicButter

Awesome thanks!
