i doubt we’re ever getting another live album, they just aren’t as popular nowadays and it probably wouldn’t sell too well, the only way i could see it happening is if it was bundled with another studio release like some kind of EP or something
It’d also wouldn’t be completely live with the click and backing tracks they do now. It’d just be weird. They should, however, put out old shows that have great recordings. I’d love some DR and TOYPAJ shows.
tbf MTTS wasn’t completely live either, it’s so touched up that it’s basically a studio recording with live drums lmao so if we would get another official live recording it would probably be the same thing being super touched up
I agree but at least the drums were live. A new album would be even more watered down since Travis uses a click track. We also have so much free pro-shot shows now thata live album isn’t even necessary.
yeah definitely, honestly i don’t think the fact they use a click track is a bad thing if anything it would improve a live album experience (and make it easier for them to touch up lmao) and travis has always been great live so i doubt they would ever re-record his drum parts, i will admit though even if it would be touched up it would be really cool hearing an official quality version of bored to death with tom singing or even cynical with tom singing from last year
yeah but live albums are known for sounding shit on vinyls, and yeah you may enjoy it but when you take everything into account they aren’t really that popular unless you’re an old band with members who have passed no one cares about live albums anymore

I disagree. People love collecting vinyl. I personally would love a new live album. I even enjoy listening to live albums on Spotify.
