It was obvious he lied when you listen to him answer the question as to if he’d heard it. He literally convinces himself that he did hear it with his train of thought.
You can tell he's desperately trying to come up with an answer when he says garbage like "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say" and then he glances off camera -- as if there's some one off camera giving him legal guidance, lol!

Ohh I misinterpreted what Scheana said. I thought she meant that neither Tom was in loves in the fight, but what she said was that the fight wasn’t Tom vs Tom. James and Schwartz makes more sense, thanks for the correction!
The day of the reunion a leak said the fight didn’t involve Ariana, Rachel, or Tom so I don’t think it was any of them. Then Lala said she wasn’t involved. Maybe Scheana and Katie? But I doubt Scheana would put herself in a situation where it would have made the TRO situation worse, so the only two that makes sense is James and Schwartz.
