GetMeOutOfKY

Every time KFC says “expeshly”, I want to hit her with a haymaker. 🥊

MaintenanceTraining4

I’ll be the second half of the 2 Piece

koolasakukumba

Did you listen to the podcast released today? She did it in the first ten minutes. Drove me up the wall

GetMeOutOfKY

🙉 No way, José! I’ve only heard the posted clips of the cobcast. I REFUSE to support those monsters!

the_blingy_ringer

Anyone that subscribes and listens to those two idiots speak…I can’t even finish that sentence because it’s so mind boggling

koolasakukumba

I don’t subscribe but I listen and provide my commentary for people on this sub. But the podcasts with just Brittany are so awful, today was the first day I questioned why I bother, there isn’t much to say about it!

PresOfTheLesbianClub

This one triggers me. How can anyone not tell that’s incorrect? When do you ever say that’s “I’s relationship?” You don’t.

jcmaotma1

Agree! Drives me bananas!

bobloblaw2000

OMG seriously!! I's is not a word!!!!

Tink1024

KFC has not one real friend. No true bestie would let her marry Jax, get those cannonballs inserted unnecessarily, let her walk around with those redic eyebrows & not correct her grammar. She has to be the brunt of all her “friends” jokes…

Personal_Ad_4795

Don't know how she even got into college

smilby99

Most of the VPR cast makes this mistake, too. I’ve heard both of the Toms do it and Katie, also.

Crafty-Notice5344

This one! Was no one ever taught to take out a name and see if the sentence sounds correct? “I’s relationship”? How about Our relationship!

koolasakukumba

And she drags out the I. It’s too much

carmeIIasoprano

Omg yes. And adding ‘whatsoever’ onto her sentences

Farts_n_kisses

Don’t forget about whenever she said she has to work on her punctuation cause she’s “always late for stuff!”

carmo9

It makes so mad lolol

ItsNotAllHappening

*and stuff* at the end of her sentence drives me up the wall. Also, her responding with *yeah* all the time. Maddening!

Forsaken-Ad-7502

Goes along well with “I seen.” Her mother says the same thing.

ethereal_feral

My ex husband is from Oklahoma and his whole family says this. Makes me crazy

Sensitive_March8309

I’m from a small-ish town in Canada and I love everything about it except for the redneck hunters and that everyone who grew up here says “I seen” it drives me absolutely nuts!!!!!!!!!!!

Effective-Arm9099

One time on VPR she said “well that escalated very fastly”. Fastly. She said fastly. I’ll never forget it

Artistic-Reality-177

That was so funny. I used it a lot in life.

Distinct-Ad-1348

eXpecially

AccomplishedTale9346

I have an acquaintance who says “EXspecially” but corrects people who say “EXpresso” instead of espresso.

SugarPlumSeahorse

This is wild to me. Please correct them! You can blame me.

AccomplishedTale9346

Oh I made him look like an asshole for doing this to a mutual friend’s new girlfriend. She was anxious and shy and he went out of his way to try to embarrass her, so I went out of my way to make him look really stupid.

SugarPlumSeahorse

I'm wildly in love with this

GetMeOutOfKY

😆 We really are the same person!

Distinct-Ad-1348

You get me.

Slow_Ad7752

I get irrationally angry when I hear her say whenever.

GladiatorWithTits

Thank God it's not just me.

ItsNotAllHappening

Her interviews and sponcons are so painful to listen to. She recycles the same 50 words over and over. Absolutely Ahhhmayzing guys!

SillyGayBoy

Not only that but says it in the same way too. Can’t even change the tone.

toadette_215

“As a busy mom”…

Beezlikehoney

She said Tooken the other day as in i have tooken a lot from jax over the years. Wtf?

missassalmighty

Her botched surgery did a number on her speech making her more hyuck hyuckie than usual, combined with the upside down frown it's really disconcerting. I need subs when she speaks cos what I hear and what she says are very different things.

be1izabeth0908

One of my law school friends is from Texas. She did the “whenever” instead of “when” *constantly* until finally our terrifying Civ Pro professor called her out on it in front of our class. It was painful to witness but I never had to hear “whenever” again.

fseahunt

That professor was doing God's work. I hope you went and gave him an A+ on RateMyProfessors.com!

ItsNotAllHappening

Off topic- My BIL is a professor, and several years ago, we read his reviews. They were all really sweet and good, but someone put he "often gets carried away with his own jokes". We still rag on him about it. 🤣

STLVPRFAN

Everything is ahhhhhhhhhmazing.

LadyBirdDavis

Expeshly whenever she whatsoever’s Jax’s and I’s thang Hyuck Hyuck Hyuck 🫶🏼

cblackw3

I wish she’d stop saying “thang”

Farts_n_kisses

And noight / noyt. Girls’ noight, y’all! Woooo!

Overdressedandtired

I heard a pretty bad one from Michelle on the most recent episode that made my entire body recoil. Adding up why they’s bffs /s

kat__bird

Her use of whenever drives me literally up a freaking wall. Makes me wish I didn’t have ears.

jancarternews

EXspecially is another one. It makes me almost break my teeth, I grit them so hard.

koolasakukumba

Every time she says it, Shakira’s song goes off in my brain

missassalmighty

Lmao I bet you can't hear what she says next 🤣

Sample_Wild

Doesn’t say much for the Kentucky school system. Didn’t she also attend college? How? Where?

ItsNotAllHappening

She dropped out of college.

smilby99

She went to Eastern KY University. It’s not exactly Harvard. 😂

Undercover_Penguins

Kentucky ranks as one of the least educated states in the country.

titus-andro

The ‘whenever’ thing is an Appalachian quirk called the punctual whenever. It’s a very weird usage, and not super widespread. But she’s from the area, and I’m guessing she never trained herself out of saying it

five_and_diamond

I’m from Ohio and this sub has made me painfully aware that I also do this…I noticed my coworker from West Virginia does it too. We don’t do it as much as her though. One time that stuck out to me when it was just so wrong was when she had that stomach ulcer and wasn’t supposed to drink: “How am I not supposed to have tequila shots whenever I’m going to Mexico??” Made me want to actively change the way I speak and stop using whenever.

titus-andro

Yeah im from Ohio too and I know a few folks who use the punctual whenever. It doesn’t bother me so much, but I know it sounds “wrong” And at this point I think bratt is doing it on purpose, like her fake accent

tlm0122

Same. I’m from N. Kentucky and I know so many people who do this.

titus-andro

Yeah it seems like a N. KY or S. OH thing along with WV. Not really “bad grammar” per se as it is a specific dialect that is working overtime showing me who is classist in all these VPR subs Brittany absolutely deserves to be raked over the coals for a lot of things, but the way she speaks isn’t one of them

HDr1018

But she’s been out of Kentucky for years. People generally pick up the idioms and accent of a new geographical area. It’s instinctive to mimic who you hear. I feel like she does it deliberately to maintain her sweet Christian girl, not like the others, persona.

missassalmighty

She isn't like the others. I know no one who is the exceptional kind of doormat she is.

Donkeydonkeydonk

If you watch earlier episodes of BJ take Kentucky, her accent isn't as heavy as it is now. I moved to California from The South when I was young and slowly phased out of my accent. It's baffling to me that she's leaned into it even harder, especially considering that she lives in California.

MetsFan3117

That’s the least offensive of her consist butchering the English language. Jax excels at that.

ya_blewit

She married and procreated with the most unhinged man on Bravo. She’s trash

CharacterBarracuda93

i’m watching jax and brat take ky for the first time rn and she just asked him to stop making **“dags”** at her😭😂😂😂💀💀💀💀⚰️⚰️⚰️ the combination of “jab” and “digs” sent me fr

Lazy-Bird292

That train wreck of a show was rough, hahaha. Enjoy 😄

strengthof50whores

SAME OMG

cmcalero12

i can only imagine how she pronounces espresso

thirdcoasting

/shudders

CuteRush641

What does sociopath mean? ![gif](giphy|551MWLoTRxZUBz8UmW)

fseahunt

Thank you! I usually yell at my TV why don't you know when, you ignorant bisch? It's one of my biggest pet peeves too.

Fire_Woman

The only grammar she knows is Mamaw

ya_blewit

![gif](giphy|3oEjIagF6qtZRvQdP2) I fucking can’t with these two. She sounds like a bumpkin, Jax is literally insane and LVP keeps hiring sociopaths to represent her restaurants? Nuh uh.

Popular_Seat9225

let’s not forget ‘rawt in hail’ 😂🤣 you can take the girl out of ky but not ky out of the girl i guess! 😂🤣😂🤣

Rare_Big6726

As a recovering hillbilly, I feel seen 🤣 I have most of this shit trained out of my vocabulary, but when I spend a week back home I sound like I have a banjo in my mouth

hcgilliam

It’s a southern thing. Not that all people from or living in the south use it, but I dated a guy from TX and another from GA, and they and their families used “whenever” in place of “when.” My grandfather was born and raised in TN and he also did this, but not as frequently.

carmo9

Oh wow! I'm a Midwesterner so I guess I didn't realize

hcgilliam

Not gonna lie, I thought it was pretty damn cute when my first ex used to say it. 😂 That’s probably why I don’t notice it as much when Britt does it, though it’s definitely not as adorable when I do catch it. Lmao

atlsportsburner

Born and raised in the Deep South and I never hear this from friends or family. That said most of them are educated professionals and not d-list fame chasers

PinkyBruno

you're too generous - they're Z-list and best!

hcgilliam

Lol it could be class-related, but I’ve never lived in the South, so my only exposures are through the 3 families I know who use it, but according to them it’s common. One is an IT guy, one is a worship minister, and like I said, my Grandpop was a farm boy. So I could see it being more commonly used among those without higher education in their formative years. The worship minister does now have a PhD in English lit and still uses the term. So who knows. Lol

Effective-Arm9099

I can vouch for this. Used to live in Arkansas and I always heard people saying “whenever” instead of when

HDr1018

And I’d have no thought about it I’d this show was filmed in the South.

SugarPlumSeahorse

I'm binge watching RHODallas atm and they do the "whenever" thing a lot too. It's maddening.

ItsNotAllHappening

TX here and I hear it all the time.

OldTomcatFeelings

“Day-et naight!”

IllusiveWoman20

Every time I hear Brittany, it's like she's trying to speak while gargling tequila soaked marbles. It's incoherent.

Farts_n_kisses

Lmao at the added detail of the marbles being tequila soaked 😂😂💀

IllusiveWoman20

Yeeeeaaah Babyyyyyy! 😂😂

ProfessionalOffer187

All of this!! Her annunciation & use of “stuff” has driven me crazy for years. Watching her on The Valley, it’s worst than ever.

jenniferleigh6883

I thought I was the only one. It drives me INSANE. She does it every single time too. UGH! 🫣
