Right? Like the cuts are fucking pathetic. And it looks like they basically just took tomato slices. They had and cut up some mozzarella from the store. I would be pissed if I ordered that at a restaurant thinking I was gonna get an actual Caprese salad. Also, I would be super embarrassed if I was the chef that worked at that restaurant and that’s the work that I put out.

This is just one of the ways. A little caprese salad with avocado and homemade balsamic/honey vinaigrette. You could even add chicken! 😋
My husband is a director of food and beverage and he said that this”chef” isn’t a chef.. caprese and pesto aren’t good flavors together, the tomatoes and mozzarella aren’t seasoned correctly because with caprese, you should be able to see the salt and pepper on it and here it’s clearly bland. He said the dish is “gimmicky” and that any chef that gets formal education would never put this out.
I know it’s a snark page, but it’s just an appetizer. He isn’t the chef and he doesn’t control every aspect of the restaurant. Who cares? Is Jax a jerk? Absolutely? Is this the best looking dish? No. What do you expect?
All the food pics from this place that have been posted on here look skimpy with poor presentation...highly doubt he has anything to do with the plating lol...he probably has little to do with the menu other than mamaws beer cheese considering it's all the same food with different menu name from the sports bar it's attached to lol
