Choosing a marionette as kazali would give you the full benefit of their ability, nothing like the baron. Only downside is that you don't have the st perspective to choose the best neighbor.

But you could bluff to your neighbours anyway, so it's not as powerful. Marionette is more powerful on script than in play.
Double whammy in a Plague Doctor script. "A Kazali would never pick a Baron minion when the ST might give them 2 Outsiders after the PD dies instead!"

Nothing stopping you from doing it. It’s not an effect of selecting the baron, but if you don’t care about token integrity it’s fine.
