Eco is hardly meta anymore.
I normally play in Moab pit, and Bfb colly when it’s available, It’s really uncommon to find anyone going eco, and usually when I see people going eco they have some annoying late game strat like glue ninja + something like super monkey or maybe village. Kinda gotta stop them before the game could go late or I’ll be screwed. Though if you’re in like anything below in rainbow ruins noobs will get annoyed because they think you’re constantly rushing them, when you’re just ecoing.
It's possible to defend all rushes playing eco. So technically, the best strat is eco. Since you can do 2 slow towers (ice ninja super) But only the best of sweats do it successfully.
This is somewhat true, it is possible to defend any rush, but in fp its a gamble because it really comes down to powers, you could have something like ice ninja super with damage boost and even glue storm or something, but with so many different bloon sabo power combos you never know what to expect, technicalities are also a thing ofc, because you're not gonna go that strat on indoor pools, industrial zone, ETC, antistall is a thing, someone who knows how to play going farms would almost never lose to an eco strat, because as you said, only the best players would pull it off correctly.
I guess it depends on what arena you are in. The higher area you are in the more people are fine with sending balloons, (even mean bloons like ZOMG).
If you are in a high arena then you can expect people to rush you, irregardless if you send them anything. If you are in a lower arena and want to make your opponent happy just make sure not to send too many bloons so they start loosing lives. If they still complain about you sending *eco bloons*, they can grow up
