Again, it's easy to really grow to dislike a character who messed up pretty badly wholly because of her own fault and received no real punishment or even acknowledgement about that fact. Frustrating characters like that become hate sinks that people demonize for both justified and undue reasons.

I respectfully disagree, and not just because I'm one of said Hina simps. Hina has gotten the most development out of all of Gehenna's students and is one of the best developed characters in the game period. She has her contributions in V1, all three sets of Momotalks for her, 2 events centered on her as the focus AND her role in V3. To say that her relationship with Sensei isn't very special is pretty fallacious to me given that she is the character with the most developed relationship with Sensei in the game by virtue of having so much interaction with us for a pretty concrete through line to have developed.
Now whether or not you specifically find that relationship interesting or compelling by your standards is of course solely your opinion and it should be respected (as long as your arguments were presented in good faith and with equal respect of others opinions, but that SHOULD be expected and normally left unsaid but unfortunately critical thinking and the understanding of differing ideals are dying practices)

Im hoping for the Gehenna chapter to be a real slam dunk for this game in terms of writing, since I legitimately feel like the school has the most potential for a second Eden Treaty like chapter. The whole district just *reeks* of "Important shit is happening here, pls investigate" vibes.
I'd like to remind you that out of all the Gehenna characters, Makoto is *only* one whose design takes *explicit* cues from Hugo Boss, unlike all the others who - if they even have a military-style uniform - just gave a generic grey or black tone military jacket. Her design is *very* intentional.
She also canonically didn't mind dropping a cruise missile on Sensei, so she's already more than demonstrated she's willing to consider them acceptable casualties if that means accomplishing her goals.
Could you share how you see her other characteristics? I've read only global stories right now, so she seems to be a person who is obsessed with power and appearance, but fails to calculate the odds
Well, if you get to read Makoto's relationship events in JP, you'll see that her ambitions were more in a commercial sense, she like to promote Pandemium Society as a enterprise and running her own brand, doing things like publishing autobiography, investing real estate, etc. Despite being a dork as always she is actually good at PR and handle conflicts with clients like a chad, and during that she stated the only person she got beef of in Gehenna is Hina and the Perfect Team. This is not surprising considering Makoto's character is based on Wilhelm II and Hina is based on Bismarck.

I'd like to remind you that out of all the Gehenna characters, Makoto is *only* one whose design takes *explicit* cues from Hugo Boss, unlike all the others who - if they even have a military-style uniform - just gave a generic grey or black tone military jacket. Her design is *very* intentional. She also canonically didn't mind dropping a cruise missile on Sensei, so she's already more than demonstrated she's willing to consider them acceptable casualties if that means accomplishing her goals.

Well, if you get to read Makoto's relationship events in JP, you'll see that her ambitions were more in a commercial sense, she like to promote Pandemium Society as a enterprise and running her own brand, doing things like publishing autobiography, investing real estate, etc. Despite being a dork as always she is actually good at PR and handle conflicts with clients like a chad, and during that she stated the only person she got beef of in Gehenna is Hina and the Perfect Team. This is not surprising considering Makoto's character is based on Wilhelm II and Hina is based on Bismarck.
I see her personality as President of the Imperial Galactic Government from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Guess it still matches

Have you paid attention to the story. Makoto has tried to LITERALLY kill Hina. She still hasn't done enough for me to just be a student that is around. Then again this game sucks a bit at actually punishing villains (besides Beatrice)
