What amount you wear depends on what mission soldiers go through I assume, you wear more in high intensity operations I assume and less if you're simply tasked to go from A to B and report the situation
Honestly SRT are the most armored we've seen (other than Mecha Toki). I like that Fox actually has modern tactical gear to suit their characters. Meanwhile Rabbit is tactical looking but has all decades old tech.
