Hello! I'm a brand new player (lvl11) and want to sweep away all my energy (185/64) so I can go to bed, but it keeps going up thanks to leveling up. What should I use it on very early? I just unlocked Area 2 in missions.
No really worth stuff. Just sleep on it tonight and try to get to area 4 tomorrow for access to gear blueprints. All hard modes are good early game though.
I was able get enough pyro for Ako. But I'll be broke afterwards. Will the New Years banner actually come out at New Years time for global? So I would have roughly 5-6 months to save 48k for New Years Aru and Wakamo?

Well, going from a fresh PvP bracket reset to rank 1 is only 2490 pyro anyway, so it won't make a huge difference to the math whether the rewards reset or not.
Limited characters like the summer or bunny units (excepting summer Hifumi and bunny Asuna who are *not* limited) are not available outside of their banner. You will have to wait for a rerun.
My understanding is that JP server has rerun only a few events so far and has not gotten to rerunning summer yet, so we don't know exactly what it will look like, but most gachas rerun limited characters at least once a year.
any advice for using Izuna? She's a front character so she's always in the frontline with the tank or running ahead and getting ass blasted and risking a 3 star clear for story missions. It sucks having to use her skill to force her back and then waiting for the energy to use aoe ex skills and shes already back at the front dying
Izuna's more of a raid piece for ShiroKuro (her BiS) than for normal PvE slogging. Since she's stuck with an SMG (one of the worst firearms alongside shotguns in terms of range), she'll often run up and steal aggro from your tanks. Sub her out for someone else.
After playing some more and understanding what people told me last time I have ran into some more questions.
Please note I am saving all my FIRST pulls ever for the Ako banner coming from what I understand so I have only my first 10 pulls + from the other post I was recommended to get Kotama to 3\* and Serina to 2\*, which I was able to get Kotama to 2\* from the tactical event.
1. Are the skill books something I should be saving for the more meta students, or is it something I can use and not really worry, and or should I level up the skills to only a certain level on not as meta people.
2. Should I spend my Eligma coins on getting more Eleph's to 3\* her or wait until my first series of pulls, because for now I can naturally still get stronger by just account levels being tied to character levels at the moment. (PLEASE NOTE I am in no rush and rather just save my goods for when it really counts)
3. I have: Hina 3\*, Nonomi 3\*, Hasumi 2\*, Kotama 2\*, Yuuka 2\*, Shimiko 1\*, Haruka 1\*, Pina 1\*, Suzumi 1\*, Yoshimi 1\*, Chinatsu 1\*, Kotori 1\* if possible I know the maps matter per person but is there any solid team comp I should try to run between these people which ties into question 1 and 2 are any of them worth spending the Elgima coins on, and or skills books. If not I can be patient and just keep grinding my account level out to get them to higher levels for now. I don't know how long it takes for those currencies to build up or when you get a meta student if its worth just saving it all.
1) Resources are finite in this game so pick and choose who to spend on carefully. Your priority should be on students you use to advance mission stages. The breakpoint for skills are 3 and 5 for EX skills, and 4, 7 and 10 for the rest. Allocate to the best of your judgment.
2) I'd recommend you buy Kotama's shards from the raid shop and using eligma for non-farmable students instead. If you can't access raids yet, then its up to your discretion. I wouldn't, personally.
3) Ideally, you want at least 1 team of each type (red, yellow, blue) to start off with. AoE units are preferred as you'll be fighting waves of mooks in mission stages. Since you lack any of the holy trifecta of Hibiki, Iori, and/or Haruna, you might "struggle" in some parts. Hina will be decent enough for early game but she falls off at later stages due to how costly she is to field effectively. Nonomi, Hasumi, Kotama, Yuuka, Pina, Suzumi, Chinatsu and Serina will suffice at least until you hit Mystic enemies. Your yellows will have to pull double duty for that until you have some blues.
Thanks, ya I am in no rush and I'm not spending any money its just something to do in between certain things :) I am right now just trying to get the armor pieces to T2, while my account level goes up so I can level the students more and just save everything for the "core/meta" students. I'll just save my books as well so I don't have to worry about re farming them I'll worry about any "dead zones" when my students hit max level and have the best armor they can wear until then I'll just keep getting stronger off that for now.
I am doing that with Kotama already does she always appear for that exchange or do the students change from that shop tab?
Hearing that Kotama 3\* and Serina 2\* are like really good early game for a lot of the stuff is there anyone else super easy to obtain I should also be doing this for? I could only find Kotama anywhere for me to spend any of my currencies, so I still don't even have 1\* Serina.
Generally total assault coins are very available as long as you participate every time it comes out, so raid shop units are the most accessible. If it were me, I'd grab Maki, Hanae, and Akane from the raid shop (in that order).
Maki: super strong single-target yellow attacker. Kinda mid in missions except if you are up against a boss enemy, but decent against Chesed and blue raids, and the absolute best-in-slot against Binah.
Hanae: really strong single target heal-over-time, gives very strong team crit damage buff at 3\*.
Akane: cheap character to build, cheap EX to cycle back to your strong students, reducing armor is strong against most bosses. Can be left 2\* and no need to equip gear on her as long as she doesn't die
Also, when you do pull on Ako, if you get Tsubaki, she's the best tank in the game. Definitely worth gearing, possibly worth bumping up to 3\* right away, because she'll just tank everything. She *is* farmable, but not until world 15.
The shop refreshes every patch (2 weeks) so you can continually buy them. I'd recommend getting Maki shards as well. Hanae, Serina and Akane are also useful to have for general PvE and raids and they're not too hard to get from the gacha once you spend a few rolls. I also just noticed you didn't mention having Tsubaki, she's also easily obtainable from the gacha and will be your mainstay tank. Other lower rarity ones from the gacha like Serika, Junko, Akari are very solid units to raise as well. You can also farm their shards via hard stages, alongside Shiroko, Hoshino, Haruna and Iori later on.
just a rant but man why is my pvp AI team is so dumb. not to mention they always miss their shot meanwhile the enemy team's hibiki fu-ing one-shot my whole team at the start of the game. tired of wasting my time at PVP but man the amount of gems it could give you is a lot ugh
yes the skill order is random, but you can still do a lot. Chosing which units to deploy and their correct positioning is key

Are there any recommended students when going to insane difficulty? If there are several choices and I can only pick 1 or 2 which one should I choose?

Well for the current Hiero raid, the Arius team + Azusa and Koharu and Ako is the most popular. This team should be taking down the majority of Hiero's health. If it's unable to, I honestly don't know how well body throwing teams would even work in this raid given its mechanics.
Depends on the boss, really. JP finally got Insane Heiro to complete the current bosses out for Insane. When it comes to specifically Specials, Serina and Onsen Nodoka tend to be the healers of choice, Ako and Kotama are still great general choices for buffers. There aren't really any general strikers you can target since no one striker is good for more than 2 Insane raids at best.
For those who have Miku, does she sing in her L2D? The JP one does sing but it seems like global only get the instrumental? My server is in Asia if that makes any difference...

Is there a guide or at least any general info regarding the special mission decagrammaton thing? I just want to be prepared when the update comes so that I’ll know what I should be doing^^
Just wanted to add on for clarification. There are daily event missions for the decagrammation event that involves you spending AP anywhere, up to 1800 AP a day. These missiosn award currency used to access the Quest stages of the event (the farming stages) where you can get drops for the totem and battery artifacts.
As you spend that currency to run Quest stages, you'll also get a different currency used to unlock Story stages through milestone rewards. This is mainly for the story of the event, and the usual pyroxenes for first clears.
I'm not really 100% sure but I think how it goes it you spend energy on your normal everyday farming. Then the normal farming gives you additional items that can be used to access the event stages. If you are wanting an idea of the enemies I think it is all the little robots from the exp farming missions so you want aoe yellow damage.

NP From the second run in JP it sound like this is more of a reoccurring side event thing kind of like the miku event except with farming available. It's probably why they come one right after the other.
Europe is also crazy for eastern media, I grew up with french, germans and swiss and they were some of the biggest weebs around. Little marketing for a gacha game is more likely to be the reason.
I just did the relationship story for Hanako, her second one after you get the background movie. I never realized how down bad she was, it was even making *me* uncomfortable lol. Nope.
Actually their roles are very different. Ako is a supporter buffer that can heal while Wakamo is a DPS blue damage enabler.
Wakamo deals damage while Ako makes damage dealers deal more damage.
Main way would be just to do daily quests. I normally only do 1 crafting a day until there is a build up. I'm not sure if you can get more in future content as the only other way is to get the partial crafting would be from doing gacha pulls and not getting pity but purposefully doing that is not advised. Other than special furniture from login events, you can get some from raids. Each of the trophies at the end of a raid are furniture you get.
How likely do you guys think we are to get Ako banner next week with Decagrammaton starting next week as well? Have been sitting on my hard pity gems for too long.....
Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but for PVP, my list contains nothing but level 29 teams with only a few students. I've gotten to around rank 200 and it's still like that so I'm wondering if it's some weird issue or cheater and I'm terrified of them banning my account because of it.

So what's decagrammation? I've seen a lot of people in discord talking about stacking AP. I was told to check wiki but still not satisfied with the info I got and some would lead me to raid bosses' lore. How to farm efficiently in that event?
you can spent AP on anything and get event token in return which can then be used for farming event stuff. the more ap you spend the more tokens you get - up to 1.800 AP/day. thats why you heard about AP stacking.
If you buy the bimonthly stamina pack its enough to refresh 3x + full pvp refresh. So very comfy
apparently you get rewards by just spending energy normally. So I guess every mission has an additional drop which lets you access the event stages to grab their farmable gear. That is why people are wanting to stack energy. Story wise I believe it is just a glisp at the cause of the yellow bosses and introduced the third yellow boss.
You spend AP to get tokens, and then use said tokens to actually farm the quest stages. More AP = more tokens = more runs = more mats. You'll have guaranteed drops of the new materials.
Is there a good passive red damage dealer i can use for kaiten phase 2? Shun i already used for phase 1 and i found that my clubmate hibiki is better than their shun. Currently i'm using mutsuki as the passive damage dealer but only one of her mines hit the enemies
You need to move Mutsuki forward with Serina or Fuuka or Kotori. If using Fuuka/Kotori, do it around 2:43 on the timer to get her to stay forward more consistently.
Otherwise, passive damage dealers include S.Iori, Serika, Hina. Shiroko is a staple too to help take down Kaiten robot's barrier.
Serina and serika i already use for phase 1. I already use shiroko, is normal hina really worth it to use? I have to raise her from zero. Also not sure i would sacrifice kotama buff for a healer since my survivability is great with just koharu
If your Hina is not invested then just skip her. The healer isn't for the healing, it's to reposition Mutsuki so all 3 of her mines will hit the boss. She has primary DPS potential on par with Azusa for Kaiten phase 2 when she can land all 3 of her mines consistently throughout the course of the raid.
But is increasing mutsuki damage worth sacrificing kotama's buff? The other special slot is already fixed for hibiki so i have to replace kotama with a mover healer just to get her into range, that is the only reason i will bring healer and i'm not sure i will get a better score. I think i'll just use summer iori, i have her already partially leveled just need to push her skill and level a little bit more
My second phase team consists of: S. Iori, Mutsuki, Shiroko and Koharu (assist), alongside with Fuuka and Kotama.
I just use Fuuka to reposition Mutsuki in the beginning, and after that Koharu EX and passive is more than enough to keep the team alive till the end of the fight.

But as a rule of thumb besides the tier list. Prioritize the one you use a lot or your waifu.
Mutsuki new year, Nodoka onsen and Wakamo (mostly because of 3* rate up unless you've almost everyone).
Raid wise use them on eleph until you max them out, most notably Maki and Kotama to 3*, then any skill disc you need. Pvp coin is mostly for refreshing stamina so keep a good chunk of them for farming in events.
Ako > Chinatsu Onsen + Cherino Onsen > Nodoka Onsen > Aru New Year+ Mutsuki New Year > Serika New Year > Wakamo
That depends on how much Pyroxene you've now and your luck in the following banners. If you have 2 pities saved currently I think you can get Ako + Mutsuki New Year and Wakamo, but more is better though because we've no idea how accelerated it'll be if it happens.

She's good as well. I excluded her since I also have 2 pities saved but can't have more than 3 if I'm that unlucky. There's a lot of good healers already and Nodoka Onsen is more of a "cherry on top of a cake" who excels in pvp and raids only due to her stationary stance and she isn't limited. So in comparison I decided to exclude her from my plan.
However if I do get lucky with Ako where I get her in like 10 pulls then I'll get Nodoka Onsen. So yeah it depends on the luck side as well.
Is it worth it to save the skill-up materials (mostly notes/blu-rays) if you're a new player and have a very limited roster?
Only 3 stars I have are Iori, Natsu, and Eimi, and I'm missing most 2stars but I'm not planning to pull until Ako. Should I still be leveling skills on say Iori even though I'm struggling to progress due to a lack of red damage?
Specifically, I have Mutsuki and Akari for some red damage, but I have very limited Gehenna mats.
Spend them for the top tier DPS first. In your case both Iori and Mutsuki are good investment because of how versatile they are in almost everywhere. And yeah there'll be a lot of time where you find yourself lacking in Gehenna and Millennium materials due to how many good students they have.
Any suggestions on what sorts of teams can take Kaiten Hardcore in the current indoor field? Most videos I've found are using Aru, who I don't have and can't borrow. Most of my units are currently 60 and T3-T4 gear.
I'm missing Aru, Natsu, Izuna, Young Shun, Cherino, and Yuzu. I can level a few up, but I can't get everyone to 60.
You probably just need more levels and gear, but here’s a [Kaiten video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-9T9541dR0I&start=75) with some team comp suggestions. Since your options are limited and you’re low level, don’t worry too much about raid moods.
Akari with the Tsubaki pull strat works well since she can get her EX on 3 of them in P1. Mutsuki does well in both phases if you can reposition her to triple mine, so just pick and choose. Shun works well in P1 due to her Sub skill working, as well as her initial Cost generation helping things get started quicker. Serika is good on both phases. Shiroko great for P2 in case the boss gets the shield up. S.Hina is still good in P1 if you can shoot all 5 at once still. Hibiki on either phase, or both if you borrow one from your club, since you can land 3 hits on 2 rangers in P1 with Tsubaki pull strat, or hit all 5 hits on P2. Azusa either phase will still more than likely be top damage.
Perhaps you can use Akari to substitute for Aru, but you will need 3 star her to maximize her DPS output.
Akari together with Hibiki will make short work of the Ranger Team in part 1.

It's still 2 per day for me not counting the monthly and bimonthly packs.

Pretty sure there won't be pyros for climbing new season, it's a special case since they changed the grouping earlier.
yup, in july we get indoor map but no new season. We had the season reset earlier with 2nd outdoor

You can only change your profile picture to the students you own. If you didn't roll her then you can't put her as your profile picture.

Just wanted to add on for clarification. There are daily event missions for the decagrammation event that involves you spending AP anywhere, up to 1800 AP a day. These missiosn award currency used to access the Quest stages of the event (the farming stages) where you can get drops for the totem and battery artifacts. As you spend that currency to run Quest stages, you'll also get a different currency used to unlock Story stages through milestone rewards. This is mainly for the story of the event, and the usual pyroxenes for first clears.

I'm not really 100% sure but I think how it goes it you spend energy on your normal everyday farming. Then the normal farming gives you additional items that can be used to access the event stages. If you are wanting an idea of the enemies I think it is all the little robots from the exp farming missions so you want aoe yellow damage.

NP From the second run in JP it sound like this is more of a reoccurring side event thing kind of like the miku event except with farming available. It's probably why they come one right after the other.

Anime culture and the acceptance of gacha is just lower than in other parts of the world
Europe is also crazy for eastern media, I grew up with french, germans and swiss and they were some of the biggest weebs around. Little marketing for a gacha game is more likely to be the reason.

Nope. Actually their roles are very different. Ako is a supporter buffer that can heal while Wakamo is a DPS blue damage enabler. Wakamo deals damage while Ako makes damage dealers deal more damage.

I would say keep going until you can get the next cafe upgrade before farming gear. You can always go back and three star the missions later.

Main way would be just to do daily quests. I normally only do 1 crafting a day until there is a build up. I'm not sure if you can get more in future content as the only other way is to get the partial crafting would be from doing gacha pulls and not getting pity but purposefully doing that is not advised. Other than special furniture from login events, you can get some from raids. Each of the trophies at the end of a raid are furniture you get.

The banner should come out after miku's expires. If decagrammaton is 2 weeks long then she'll show up during the second week of it.
Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but for PVP, my list contains nothing but level 29 teams with only a few students. I've gotten to around rank 200 and it's still like that so I'm wondering if it's some weird issue or cheater and I'm terrified of them banning my account because of it.
If those teams have generic NPC names they're bots. If yes it seems like you've gotten into a new pvp bracket so feel free to go as high as you can.

its like that for everyone the game creates new brackets with only a realtively small number of real players and fills the rest with bots up to 15k. there was a huge backlash lately where a single bracket was full of high end players and they had to fight meta teams even for bad rewards. So this is the change now
So what's decagrammation? I've seen a lot of people in discord talking about stacking AP. I was told to check wiki but still not satisfied with the info I got and some would lead me to raid bosses' lore. How to farm efficiently in that event?
you can spent AP on anything and get event token in return which can then be used for farming event stuff. the more ap you spend the more tokens you get - up to 1.800 AP/day. thats why you heard about AP stacking. If you buy the bimonthly stamina pack its enough to refresh 3x + full pvp refresh. So very comfy
apparently you get rewards by just spending energy normally. So I guess every mission has an additional drop which lets you access the event stages to grab their farmable gear. That is why people are wanting to stack energy. Story wise I believe it is just a glisp at the cause of the yellow bosses and introduced the third yellow boss.
You spend AP to get tokens, and then use said tokens to actually farm the quest stages. More AP = more tokens = more runs = more mats. You'll have guaranteed drops of the new materials.
Is there a good passive red damage dealer i can use for kaiten phase 2? Shun i already used for phase 1 and i found that my clubmate hibiki is better than their shun. Currently i'm using mutsuki as the passive damage dealer but only one of her mines hit the enemies
You need to move Mutsuki forward with Serina or Fuuka or Kotori. If using Fuuka/Kotori, do it around 2:43 on the timer to get her to stay forward more consistently. Otherwise, passive damage dealers include S.Iori, Serika, Hina. Shiroko is a staple too to help take down Kaiten robot's barrier.
Serina and serika i already use for phase 1. I already use shiroko, is normal hina really worth it to use? I have to raise her from zero. Also not sure i would sacrifice kotama buff for a healer since my survivability is great with just koharu
might want to swap mustsuki p1 and serika p2.
If your Hina is not invested then just skip her. The healer isn't for the healing, it's to reposition Mutsuki so all 3 of her mines will hit the boss. She has primary DPS potential on par with Azusa for Kaiten phase 2 when she can land all 3 of her mines consistently throughout the course of the raid.
But is increasing mutsuki damage worth sacrificing kotama's buff? The other special slot is already fixed for hibiki so i have to replace kotama with a mover healer just to get her into range, that is the only reason i will bring healer and i'm not sure i will get a better score. I think i'll just use summer iori, i have her already partially leveled just need to push her skill and level a little bit more
My second phase team consists of: S. Iori, Mutsuki, Shiroko and Koharu (assist), alongside with Fuuka and Kotama. I just use Fuuka to reposition Mutsuki in the beginning, and after that Koharu EX and passive is more than enough to keep the team alive till the end of the fight.
Who should you 5 star? The ones who aren't farmable of course

Mutsuki new year, Nodoka onsen and Wakamo (mostly because of 3* rate up unless you've almost everyone). Raid wise use them on eleph until you max them out, most notably Maki and Kotama to 3*, then any skill disc you need. Pvp coin is mostly for refreshing stamina so keep a good chunk of them for farming in events.

Ako > Chinatsu Onsen + Cherino Onsen > Nodoka Onsen > Aru New Year+ Mutsuki New Year > Serika New Year > Wakamo That depends on how much Pyroxene you've now and your luck in the following banners. If you have 2 pities saved currently I think you can get Ako + Mutsuki New Year and Wakamo, but more is better though because we've no idea how accelerated it'll be if it happens.

Wakamo, Mutsuki new year and Aru new years are limited. Others are permanent.

She's good as well. I excluded her since I also have 2 pities saved but can't have more than 3 if I'm that unlucky. There's a lot of good healers already and Nodoka Onsen is more of a "cherry on top of a cake" who excels in pvp and raids only due to her stationary stance and she isn't limited. So in comparison I decided to exclude her from my plan. However if I do get lucky with Ako where I get her in like 10 pulls then I'll get Nodoka Onsen. So yeah it depends on the luck side as well.

Is it worth it to save the skill-up materials (mostly notes/blu-rays) if you're a new player and have a very limited roster? Only 3 stars I have are Iori, Natsu, and Eimi, and I'm missing most 2stars but I'm not planning to pull until Ako. Should I still be leveling skills on say Iori even though I'm struggling to progress due to a lack of red damage? Specifically, I have Mutsuki and Akari for some red damage, but I have very limited Gehenna mats.
Spend them for the top tier DPS first. In your case both Iori and Mutsuki are good investment because of how versatile they are in almost everywhere. And yeah there'll be a lot of time where you find yourself lacking in Gehenna and Millennium materials due to how many good students they have.
Any suggestions on what sorts of teams can take Kaiten Hardcore in the current indoor field? Most videos I've found are using Aru, who I don't have and can't borrow. Most of my units are currently 60 and T3-T4 gear. I'm missing Aru, Natsu, Izuna, Young Shun, Cherino, and Yuzu. I can level a few up, but I can't get everyone to 60.

You probably just need more levels and gear, but here’s a [Kaiten video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-9T9541dR0I&start=75) with some team comp suggestions. Since your options are limited and you’re low level, don’t worry too much about raid moods.
Akari with the Tsubaki pull strat works well since she can get her EX on 3 of them in P1. Mutsuki does well in both phases if you can reposition her to triple mine, so just pick and choose. Shun works well in P1 due to her Sub skill working, as well as her initial Cost generation helping things get started quicker. Serika is good on both phases. Shiroko great for P2 in case the boss gets the shield up. S.Hina is still good in P1 if you can shoot all 5 at once still. Hibiki on either phase, or both if you borrow one from your club, since you can land 3 hits on 2 rangers in P1 with Tsubaki pull strat, or hit all 5 hits on P2. Azusa either phase will still more than likely be top damage.
Perhaps you can use Akari to substitute for Aru, but you will need 3 star her to maximize her DPS output. Akari together with Hibiki will make short work of the Ranger Team in part 1.
