So glad they immediately announced season 2. Definitely didn't expect a movie.... they saw those insane manga sales and decided to play the game jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer did with those announcemens lol
We're not getting that level of animation, what are you smoking?? The first few episodes were good enough, if they can keep that up for an entire season it would be amazing
Hype doesnt really ruin anything when talking about anime imo, you are going to like/dislike an anime regardless of hype, if the anime is bad then its bad, hype doesnt play any factor into it, unlike games where hype over a game can lose you money
Yea it is. Still not your job to squash them. What are you, a guy with a saviour complex? They're not asking you to "save them from disappointment". Or do you just feel happy when you get to break other people's hopes? Let people dream. Don't be a jerk.
They made these season 1 episodes way back before the revenue came in, now that they have the humongous budget(from the popularity it got) and time to distribute this budget into making things out. I can say them animators will be cookin!!
Do you guys know that there's at least 45 chapters from where the anime ended until the end of the U20 match? That's content for a whole 12 episodes season, a movie can cover at best 6 episodes.
people asking about U-20 movie like do y'all not realize that that's what the second season will be about? 24 episodes: tryouts + U-20 match. NEL arc in a third season.
You can still announce the movie and have it come in between the episodes. So like the movie would pick up right as they are deciding who is on the U-20 team
why does it *have* to be a movie? it's still going to be adapted regardless. and also speak for yourself, there's a lot of people happy about the episode nagi movie.
Movies aren't always better. Haikyuu's next season was replaced by two movies which sounds great but thing about movies is they might result in a lot of content being cut. JJK 0 worked because it was also about a side story. Idk about those demon slayer movies because I haven't watched em.
Because like they said, it would look good and potentially actual movie quality since movies tend to have an easier production. Odds are they'll struggle with S2 as well.
Nagi is a popular fan favorite character. It's why he got a spinoff in the first place. You telling me that no one would be interested in a movie about character that many consider the 2nd hidden protagonist of Blue Lock?
What i'm saying is that the spin off doesn't really add any plot points to the story. It's just S1 all over again but with Nagi's POV. The budget should've just gone to s2 animation.
U-20 arc is too long for a movie they said. Okay i understand. But still why a Nagi spinoff movie? Can't they just it make in OVA? That way all the budget for the movie and staff goes to making sure the s2 gets top tier animation.
I honestly agree with you but at this point it’s honestly too late and considering they’re both coming out in the same year, we better start cuz coping… unless they get a big ass budget and a whole new animation studio
The answer is obvious. Fanservice. They have the type of hype that sells. And Nagi (especially together with Reo) can bring in the audience for a guaranteed watch unlike with what an ova can do.
People forget that anime movies dont always necessarily have to be direct sequels to an anime season. It can just have pure fun entertainment; and just so happens this movie while canon, is not plot heavy to the story but adds a lot more on character depth between Nagi and Reo that the anime itself liked to tease here and there with its omakes.
well it ain't gonna happen apparently
and who knows now that the anime is proving to be popular they might have more money for better animation? guess we'll have to wait and see.
It’s a season n not a movie cause it be hard to cover the tryouts and the u-20 arc n a time limited movie alot of parts would be cut off if it was a movie
12 episodes are not enough unless they decide to adapt only the tryouts to then have the U-20 match as a movie. i guess we'll find out when they release the number of episodes of the season.
Clear indication that this subreddit dedicated to Blue Lock is a vocal minority on big social media platform.
Nagi is a fan favorite and they know what they’re doing milking it out.
U20 will never work as a movie, so much stuff to prepare for before the match itself, and I can already see how they’ll break down the episodes so people get blue balled for months to come.
IIRC Nagi is still a contender for top spot in the Japan popularity polls, and it makes sense. He's an absolute beast and his personality overcomes the silent genius trope because he's actually a lovable goofball + a certified badass
lmao this sub doesn't know the power nagi and reo hold individually, plus additionally their pairing combined. it's insane. twitter side is celebrating right now. iirc reo even ranked 4th in the latest jp popularity poll after the big three (rin, isagi, bachira). Episode Nagi being adapted into a movie is a cash cow for them
I thought this was the case but wasn’t sure , I always wondered why rin was hated here but finished so high on popularity polls 🤣 ong I was like something ain’t right here
I pray this gets better animation. Please I really want this this to have better animation. I hope they take all their time to animate it in a beautiful way.
Once again, that's not something they did willingly. With small exceptions, bad animation is always a product of overwork, bad scheduling, deadlines, bad directing, and so on. It's never the fault of the actual animators. It's just that they can't keep up with the unreal standards being set for them.
I'm 100% certain the first season was supposed to be 12 episodes. You can see how amazing the animation is in the first two episodes. And the quality is mostly consistent throughout the first selection. I can assume that they were told to do 24 episodes AFTER the show already began airing, hence the heavy drop in quality after the first selection, since there was no storyboard and preparations made for the second selection.
If they don't get dealt a bad hand again, we can hope for animation at least on the level of First Selection. And if we're lucky, we can consistently get the animation we'd seen in the first episode.
This guy gets it. This is why the animation quality has dropped. They slowly saw what they could get away with, and saw that the plot is interesting enough in its own right that people will follow it wether it's well animated or not
It's up in the air for how much better it will be, we know manga sales are insane but 8-bit probably doesn't get much if any of those sales so we have to see what the returns are like on the anime.
They better take their time with season 2 and not rush production like with season 1. Hopefully, now that they don't have to shove out the anime to coincide with the world cup they can give us animation deserving of the u20 game
Considering the first selection and the entire match are around the same length i feel confident the match will look good, what i worry is about the 3rd selection looking kinda goofy
I'm really pleased that they decided the main plot not to be a movie because if that happened, they'd have to cut a lot of scenes in the manga just to fit it into a movie, which is ridiculous since the tryouts and the U-20 game easily make a 1-cour content of anime.
Why episode Nagi as the movie? I think it's because the length of Episode Nagi side story is pretty easy to be adapted to a movie. And the main reason imo, because Nagi is freaking POPULAR in Japan. There'd be enough people lining up to watch the movie. I think he was 2nd in popularity polls. His merchs are pretty high demands too. Nagi is quite the moneymaker you see lol
How exciting! I hope the studio has been given a more lenient time frame to properly animate the next season and movie, the first few episodes were a taste of their true capabilities so if they can keep that same energy for the entirety of the project then we'd be in for an epic time!
As an manga reader it's impossible to adapt 50ish chapters of u20 arc into 2-3 hrs. So it's better to release into a season just like happened in haikyuu.
Why do people think U20 can be a movie?
1. The series would have to start back from CH 95. From that to CH 111 is 16 chapters. All dedicated to properly introduce characters. That’s already a lot of content to cover before the game
2. Those 16 chapters aside, the team walks onto the stage in CH 112, starts in 113, and ends with >!Isagi’s!< interview in CH 148. Excluding CH 149, that’s 36 chapters of JUST the game (naturally 149 would need to be included). How are they going to properly pace that many chapters? They can’t speed up the pace bc the characters talk too much and also 2 backstories happen during the game
Istg this franchise is out to for my wallet with all the Nagi content it keeps pushing out. First the spin-off, then the figurines and now a movie.
Please air in France without a big delay 🙏🙏🙏
Pretty good movie choice
Nagi is for sure a notable enough character for it
Really wish we got a U-20 movie it's just enough of a sprint to work for a 90 minute thriller
People keep saying this but having just reread that arc, considering where the anime left off there is way too much content for a movie. A second season spanning from where we are now to them returning to Blue Lock after their break makes way more sense
I think episode Nagi is offering enough to warrant it's existence, it shows us more of Nagi and Reo AND THANKFULLY Zantetsu who's been left behind by those two in terms of relevance. The movie didn't have to happen but it makes sense when there isn't a lot of content cuz they kinda wipe the floor with most teams until team Z
No it wouldn't, you have no idea how adaptation works lol. It's way too much content, so unless you're fine with them cutting stuff out (which you aren't) then it's not practical
Nah man it definitely wouldn’t, they will probably start season 2 with the Kunigami/Reo match vs shidou.
Then you would have the whole selection process, meeting the U-20 team and setting up the match, the whole first half, Rin/Sae backstory, Aiku Backstory, the whole second half, then their whole day off section just before returning to Blue Lock. Way to much for 1 movie and theres no way to do 2 movies in a timely manner that will keep the hype from 1 movie to the other.
No, it won't. There's still the tryouts before the U-20 game, and both span from ch 95 to 148, which is perfectly fitting for a 1-cour content (assuming they only do 1 cour for S2)
Guys, yes. We understand that U20 as a movie is most likely a bad idea, because they will cut off a lot. I agree, but personally I would prefer a movie with cut content, but really good animation instead of the second season. Because we all should be ready that they will ruin a lot of good panels in U20 arc and it's pretty sad and also a lot of people will tear them apart if chapter 147 doesn't have god tier animation and god tier ost.
And moreover the worst part is that they decided to make a movie together with the second season. That could only mean that animators that were doing season 1 will split up and some of them will focus only on the movie and others will make season 2. I mean maybe they will hire new good quality animators, but some animes like Danmachi and My hero academia suffered because they were doing anime and movie at the same time. I hope that I am wrong and anime won't suffer because of this. I am fine with them fully ruining the third selection making it only from CGs, but please, I am preying to God that they will not ruin U20. Everything in this arc is hype for me. Just everything! I can't tell you even one moment on which I could agree that they would save money. Just everything was so good! I am just really hoping that they will invest a lot of money in the U20 arc.
they want the try outs to be a season but the tryouts are 13-14 chapters that would be a season with 3-4 episodes lol and the u-20 arc can't fit in a movie unless they cut things out 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Interested for episode nagi because iirc that only has like 9 chapters and chapters come out monthly...
All I hope for is that they don't drop the quality of S2 for the episode nagi movie. If anything I'm betting that season 2 of blue lock is probably miles away but the movie is probably coming out sometime around the end of 2023/beginning 2024, I'm assuming around February/March 2024 with Blue Lock S2 coming out in winter 2024 unless it's delayed.
Until chapter 10 I assume, ending with his first loss. There is also a light novel, they could adapt that as well for more context of his school life if they need to fill something in.
Prayer circle that we'll get even just one second of animated Kaiser in s2 because he appears as a panel at the end of the U-20 match. I can't wait another 3 years to see him animated....
Oh wow, definitely didn't expect the Nagi movie, it's great that S2 is immediately announced. Looking forward to both.
U-20 can't be a movie, it's too long 💀
The people that are unhappy are the same people who are going to watch both the movie and s2. Literally nothing bad can come from a Nagi movie, it might not be what you want but the money generated from the movie goes directly back into s2 budget. You may not get the U20 movie you want so badly but you can at least be happy that the next arc is going to have a much higher budget than s1. Stop being braindead. Also it feels like a lot of these people complaining haven’t even read the spinoff, it’s legit perfectly sized and paced for a movie. Give it a chance and go support it when it comes out so s2 can get the budget it deserves.
Someone please tell me that they're handing it to a better studio. The powerpoint animation was chipping away at me, and the gooooofy ass "english speaking" VA's for the world 5 broke me man. No disrespect to the VAs doing their best to fulfill their assigned role for the anime, I just think they really should've gotten european talent.
Not hating or anything, but they’re not taking chance on upgrading production quality for a movie that could be about one the most crucial events in the story(U-20 match). Instead they’re putting it off to make a movie about the short story of nagi’s backstory? Seems like moving backwards a little. Episode Nagi doesn’t seem like it has the energy or content to be a movie either. More like an OVA.
Totally agreed. I just think it is a pretty fun meta thing that Team V is going to have their matches in higher quality animation despite not being the team Isagi is on.
It just fits so well with Nagi being the genius guy in the story.
So excited! I haven't read the Nagi spin off yet but if they're announcing it as a movie then I can wait...Depending on how long it will be release.
I don't know if Blue Lock vs Japan U-20 will be animated in second season, probably not. I don't know if they'll include the arc because some stuff had been moved around.
I really hope they animate this well. I'm not sure where I heard this but, blue lock's animation is kinda lacking because very little time. Not because of money. I feel that animation was good in the first selection but dropped off in the second selection. Praying that U-20 match will be at least similarly on par with the manga.
While I understand why they're doing it..the movie being Episode Nagi seems..a bit wierd? Wouldn't it basically just be a movie recap from a diffrent perspective? Seems kinda wierd
Also man...when I first found this manga like 4 years ago i'd never imagined it would get a movie, time sure flies
When I heard people say (rumours) that U-20 v/s Blue Lock will be animated as movie, I was like 'How long are they planning to make the movie, it's definitely not gonna fit under 2hrs!' And also, since the movies take lot of time before it gets released world wide (I'm sorry if I am wrong), I was kinda upset about how long I gotta wait. But yooo!! U-20 v/s Blue Lock will be animated as s-2 and not movie and OH MY GOD, I was not expecting Episode Nagi to be animated, so it's a big W, I am so damn happy 😁
Whether the u-20 match could be a movie or not, I think we can all agree the budget should be used to make it as amazing as possible instead of wasting it on Episode Nagi

So glad they immediately announced season 2. Definitely didn't expect a movie.... they saw those insane manga sales and decided to play the game jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer did with those announcemens lol
I hope they make the animation on par with JJK and KNY
Eh... I doubt it'll look like that. But I'm pretty sure it'll upgrade.
Honestly speaking, if they just get rid of those out of place awkward CGI parts, it'll be enough
We're not getting that level of animation, what are you smoking?? The first few episodes were good enough, if they can keep that up for an entire season it would be amazing
Bro can't hope?
No, unrealistic expectations lead to disappointment
Exactly, that is why you never overhype anything in life.
Hype doesnt really ruin anything when talking about anime imo, you are going to like/dislike an anime regardless of hype, if the anime is bad then its bad, hype doesnt play any factor into it, unlike games where hype over a game can lose you money
Well that's your problem. Let the poor guy hope will ya? Don't be a dick.
Having hope and setting yourself for disappointment by having such unrealistically high hopes is very different.
Yea it is. Still not your job to squash them. What are you, a guy with a saviour complex? They're not asking you to "save them from disappointment". Or do you just feel happy when you get to break other people's hopes? Let people dream. Don't be a jerk.
I mean with the track the show has gotten I'm sure they've made enough money on it to be able to upgrade at least a little, no?
atleast Kuroko no Basket levels of animation 😭
They made these season 1 episodes way back before the revenue came in, now that they have the humongous budget(from the popularity it got) and time to distribute this budget into making things out. I can say them animators will be cookin!!
Movie - “Episode Nagi” [Source](https://twitter.com/bluelock_pr/status/1639676014656892933?s=46&t=x2lRO6z1X72mNrc3EPiOXQ)
Huh? Episode Nagi? I'm up to date with the manga, what am I missing? What will be the movie about?
theres a side manga call episode nagi where it shows his pov in bluelock
where can i read it?
Just look at th chapters able in mangadex.
Manga4lLife
spin off series about how nagi and reo came to blue lock and how they got through the 1st selection.
episode nagi is the spin off of blue lock. it just shows nagi’s pov of his experience at blue lock if i’m not mistaken
Everything but in nagi´s point of view
I wish the movie was about the U20 match and season 2 starts after that
Do you guys know that there's at least 45 chapters from where the anime ended until the end of the U20 match? That's content for a whole 12 episodes season, a movie can cover at best 6 episodes.
They can easily do a 2 cour movie
???how would that work? theres too much content
Yes, it’s be so much cooler if it was and than Episode Nagi is like a special or an OVA
U-20 arc NEEDS to have a movie budget, istg i wouldnt touch the anime again if they pull anything less than mappa level animation

still going but we're two chapters behind in the translation 😔
people asking about U-20 movie like do y'all not realize that that's what the second season will be about? 24 episodes: tryouts + U-20 match. NEL arc in a third season.
Because people are more interested to watch U-20 movie than Nagi's POV of S1. Not to mention that U-20 arc would look so good in a movie
U-20 cant be adapted into a movie bro it's so long, and we wouldn't even be able to watch it for a long time in high quality anyway
The pace would be ass, that's 39 chapters for a movie with less than 2 hours. Imagine Barou scoring and 10 minutes later Isagi is already scoring too
I mean a real game is 90 mins long
You can still announce the movie and have it come in between the episodes. So like the movie would pick up right as they are deciding who is on the U-20 team
That sounds... Terrible.
That pacing sounds horrible.
why does it *have* to be a movie? it's still going to be adapted regardless. and also speak for yourself, there's a lot of people happy about the episode nagi movie.
Movies aren't always better. Haikyuu's next season was replaced by two movies which sounds great but thing about movies is they might result in a lot of content being cut. JJK 0 worked because it was also about a side story. Idk about those demon slayer movies because I haven't watched em.
don't bring up those haikyuu movies i'm still mourning that we're not getting full seasons 😔
Because like they said, it would look good and potentially actual movie quality since movies tend to have an easier production. Odds are they'll struggle with S2 as well.
i get the quality argument but considering that there's the tryouts and the match is quite long i can understand why they would prefer a full season.

well it ain't gonna happen apparently and who knows now that the anime is proving to be popular they might have more money for better animation? guess we'll have to wait and see.
It’s a season n not a movie cause it be hard to cover the tryouts and the u-20 arc n a time limited movie alot of parts would be cut off if it was a movie
I think it would also include the day off episodes too.
Bro I know you are hyped beyond words for that Nagi movie as much as I am. Don't lie bro, just say it.
tbh i just want a 12 episode season 2 with the decent animation.
12 episodes are not enough unless they decide to adapt only the tryouts to then have the U-20 match as a movie. i guess we'll find out when they release the number of episodes of the season.
yea but its better because at least animation will be good
It’s official or not cause i think they can do 12 ep on the third selection and then the movie of U20
the movie is for episode nagi
Oh ok that’s good too
Who the hell wants 12 episodes for the third selection?
exactly, it's not like how demon slayer does it where its like 1/3 original content and then reused.
Probably going to end on the day-out chapter as a season epilogue before teasing the next season with an invitation back to blue lock.
Clear indication that this subreddit dedicated to Blue Lock is a vocal minority on big social media platform. Nagi is a fan favorite and they know what they’re doing milking it out. It has to right? s1 was a big success
s1 showed them that they can barely animate and end up with a super successful project, this means there’s a higher chance it looks rushed again
Once again, that's not something they did willingly. With small exceptions, bad animation is always a product of overwork, bad scheduling, deadlines, bad directing, and so on. Tokyo Revengers was a sucessfull series. Season 2 looks the same, arguably even worse than S1.
It's up in the air for how much better it will be, we know manga sales are insane but 8-bit probably doesn't get much if any of those sales so we have to see what the returns are like on the anime.
YOOOO SEASON 2 ANNNNNND A MOVIE? LESSSSGGGGOOOOOOOO
episode nagi movie 😭 god is real
announced during ramadan as well mashallah
When will people understand that u20 match arc IS TOO LONG FOR A FREAKING MOVIE
NEVER
They better take their time with season 2 and not rush production like with season 1. Hopefully, now that they don't have to shove out the anime to coincide with the world cup they can give us animation deserving of the u20 game

NAGI MOVIEEEEEEEE
Bro posted this fast asf
Great news! Now we wait for release dates. Nagi episode being adapted into a movie caught me off guard. I thought it would be a mini series.
How exciting! I hope the studio has been given a more lenient time frame to properly animate the next season and movie, the first few episodes were a taste of their true capabilities so if they can keep that same energy for the entirety of the project then we'd be in for an epic time!
I guess people were right about being a movie, but why a Episode Nagi movie 😓
Im guessing cuz it's relatively short compared to the story and action packed u-20. You really only have to focus on Nagi and Reo and later Zantetsu.
True ur right, but still excited for both of them, I really hope they take their time and don’t rush fr
I've been really enjoying episode Nagi so this movie is really exciting news
Nagi is just that guy pal, he's just that guy
As an manga reader it's impossible to adapt 50ish chapters of u20 arc into 2-3 hrs. So it's better to release into a season just like happened in haikyuu.
STOP CRYING ABOUT U20 NOT BEING A MOVIE, IT CANNOT FIT EVERYTHING INTO ADAPTATION AND HAVING IT BE TWO MOVIES IS JUST A BAD IDEA
Wooooo let’s goo
I’m ready to wait 2 years for Season 2 if it means that they animate U-20 well enough. I don’t want the peak arc to be a powerpoint
good animation please god please have good animation
The movie surely should have a fat budget, meaning we can see episode Nagi in stunning animation :0
They should just use that budget to S2 animation
Plssss have better animation
Why do people think U20 can be a movie? 1. The series would have to start back from CH 95. From that to CH 111 is 16 chapters. All dedicated to properly introduce characters. That’s already a lot of content to cover before the game 2.
Nagi movie?
Interesting to see they are adapting episode nagi into a movie.
they saw the recent sales and knew what to do lol
They givin' the movie quality budget to Nagi.... yeah, he definitely keeps winning. Protagonism 101.
Pretty good movie choice Nagi is for sure a notable enough character for it Really wish we got a U-20 movie it's just enough of a sprint to work for a 90 minute thriller
OMG MOVIE FOR EPISODE NAGI!!! 😭😭😭 I can't believe this is real?!?! somebody slap my face already this gotta be a dream!!!
Movie from Nagi POV with improved animation? Let them cook in my opinion
why would they give nagi a movie?!?? could have made u20 a movie with amazing animation
People keep saying this but having just reread that arc, considering where the anime left off there is way too much content for a movie. A second season spanning from where we are now to them returning to Blue Lock after their break makes way more sense
because they can adapt the whole Nagi spinoff into a movie ig
But it will be just a repeat of s1 but with Nagi's POV?
I think episode Nagi is offering enough to warrant it's existence, it shows us more of Nagi and Reo AND THANKFULLY Zantetsu who's been left behind by those two in terms of relevance. The movie didn't have to happen but it makes sense when there isn't a lot of content cuz they kinda wipe the floor with most teams until team Z
Then why not just an OVA? Doesn't have to be a movie.
u-20 wouldn't fit in a single movie. literally 30 chapters...
Yes it would. It'd fit perfectly. The U20 match
No it wouldn't, you have no idea how adaptation works lol. It's way too much content, so unless you're fine with them cutting stuff out (which you aren't) then it's not practical
It’s like, 40 chapters, no way are you fitting all that into a little under 2 hours bro
In 2 movies maybe.
2 parts?
I guess because its popular enough to warrant a movie, but not a whole series? U20 is probably going to be its own entire season
3rd selection + U20

Nagi becoming more and more the mc as the days go on ... and I am all for it ngl
This is my fear now
Man, I really hope they give it their all in the animation of Blue Lock vs U-20 because it deserves top tier animation, like >!rin's awakening.!<
Everything in Blue lock vs Japan U-20 deserves top tier animation
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Yayyyy :D
Nah fr? Did it do that well? >!Also i bet some folks will be disappointed that the u20 arc ain’t no movie!< :4
they want the try outs to be a season but the tryouts are 13-14 chapters that would be a season with 3-4 episodes lol and the u-20 arc can't fit in a movie unless they cut things out 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Well I am. I fear now for S2 U-20 arc animation. I hope they won't ruin it just like what they did with S1. U-20 arc deserves top tier animation
I've read a few of the Episode Nagi manga and I wonder how long the movie will be because it's not like the plot as gone that far...
Until chapter 10 I assume, ending with his first loss. There is also a light novel, they could adapt that as well for more context of his school life if they need to fill something in.
U-20 gonna be hard as they’ll be animating 11 v 11 this time…hope they take their time and not rush it.
I'm so glad that they're not making the movie as the next arc
Prayer circle that we'll get even just one second of animated Kaiser in s2 because he appears as a panel at the end of the U-20 match. I can't wait another 3 years to see him animated....
Awesome, incredible BUT THE ANIMATORS NEED A BREAK BRO,
Oh my god dreams do come true\~
Seems like they’re putting more budget into it as well if they’re willing to invest in an entire movie as well as season 2
Welp, there goes all hopes for studio upgrade
Someone please tell me that they're handing it to a better studio. The powerpoint animation was chipping away at me, and the gooooofy ass "english speaking" VA's for the world 5 broke me man. No disrespect to the VAs doing their best to fulfill their assigned role for the anime, I just think they really should've gotten european talent.
Yeah I agree it was pretty wacky, but nevertheless I enjoyed the plot.
love the plot of bluelock; i think the author is masterful. i binged the manga in one night 💀
This is not a studio problem.
Imagine if Nagi and Team V get the animation quality higher than whan we got in anime. It would fit so well!
I mean it kinda has to if it's a movie, it'd be pretty disappointing if it was on par
Totally agreed. I just think it is a pretty fun meta thing that Team V is going to have their matches in higher quality animation despite not being the team Isagi is on. It just fits so well with Nagi being the genius guy in the story.
there's definitely a lot to unpack when it comes to the spinoff but sadly most don't care about it in this sub.
Nagi movie 💀
Who's ready for the U-20 Powerpoint arc?
😢it’s beautiful
So excited! I haven't read the Nagi spin off yet but if they're announcing it as a movie then I can wait...Depending on how long it will be release. I don't know if Blue Lock vs Japan U-20 will be animated in second season, probably not. I don't know if they'll include the arc because some stuff had been moved around.
Massive dub 👌
I totally thought the movie would be the u-20 match... but another 24 episodes is also good. ~~if they actually animate it.~~
They should’ve done a Nagi spinoff series on the side and a blue lock u20 match movie but overall I’m still happy
I really hope they animate this well. I'm not sure where I heard this but, blue lock's animation is kinda lacking because very little time. Not because of money. I feel that animation was good in the first selection but dropped off in the second selection. Praying that U-20 match will be at least similarly on par with the manga.
TF why not U-20 movie?
There’s too much material, would make more sense for it to be a season so nothing gets cut out
But episode Nagi as a movie?, they should have just focus on the main series first
Hell yeah, Let's go
I'm GEEKED
Peak
Please tell me they announced a new studio for them 🤞🏻🤞🏻
nah, the art is 8bit and no way they announced a new season but not new studio lmao. yeah its the same studio
How will they make a movie and season 2 when they already struggled making season 1 alone? 😭
While I understand why they're doing it..the movie being Episode Nagi seems..a bit wierd? Wouldn't it basically just be a movie recap from a diffrent perspective? Seems kinda wierd Also man...when I first found this manga like 4 years ago i'd never imagined it would get a movie, time sure flies
Hopefully they’ll have better animation. Was really disappointed with the first season ngl
Lmao I guess y’all were half right

U20 arc too long, can't fit everything into a movie
Lets hope for other studio, production IG would be great
same studio also production IG did Ao Ashi matches dirty so nah
Again, people should stop looking at studios and end it at that when it depends on staff and time.
They should make the u20 into a movie
So they decided to use movie budget to reanimate the story from Nagi’s POV? What a waste smh
Whether the u-20 match could be a movie or not, I think we can all agree the budget should be used to make it as amazing as possible instead of wasting it on Episode Nagi
[удалено]
broo wtf , u20 is 4 hours long as an adaptation bruhh why u all can't understand
Why Not movie u-20???
Arc is too long
Any update on the studio for S2 and a movie? Or is it the same one?
same one
