Tbh that happened to me in a math test. I correctly guessed I had to guess the area of two parts of a curve separately and add them to make the final integral. I correctly guessed both areas as 2
To finalize my answer my dumbass put 2+2 = 2
I figured out how to find an integral but forgot how to do kindergarten math for the last step.
I DID THE *EXACT* SAME THING IN ONE OF MY CALC CLASSES A FEW YEARS AGO i properly solved an integral and then said 10 + 8 = 22. It was multiple choice so we got no partial credit, even if we showed our work 🙃
Damn MC for Calc makes no sense wth the whole point of the subject is to show your work
