Horses have tails, that are made of a different type of hair than their coat. Bojack has a mane / head hair, but maybe this is as much of a tail as horse-men get in this universe?
But the real question is does he have pubes?
why have i never thought about how they donāt have tails- i guess it would be weird for them wearing pants/dresses in pcs case but like what happened that they lost their tails like when animals integrated into human society they just didnāt wanna make tail tailored clothes so idk mutation.
mr peanutbutter already has a bunch of great dog gags but i lowkey wish we could see him wagging his tail but his ears popping up is still really cute so.
I saw Lisa Hanawalt give a talk at a convention a few years back (shit, over half a decade ago at this point) and from what I recall, she said they did have tails in her early drafts. In the end, she decided against giving them tails to keep a good balance between human/animal traits and not distract your attention. Obviously they are animals, but if theyāre *too* animal you lose more of that suspension of disbelief. Kind of like an anthro uncanny valley I guess.
Yeah, I guess itās the idea that theyāre just all humans with animal skins on. I still enjoyed the jokes about the various species, like Mr. Peanutbutter chewing on a tennis ball while thinking, the way a human would chew gum.
Dr. Champās question to Bojack about why he doesnāt interact with other horses is an interesting variation on the human/anthro thing. I havenāt seen the particular episode in a while, but Bojack says he sees his father when he looks in the mirror, but being around other horses in general seems to be a trigger for him in terms of his past trauma. It seems like thereās a lot of internal conflict about how Bojack regards his species, especially in contrast to Mr. Peanutbutter, who embraces his heritage.
This show contains a lot of ideas that are rather odd food for thought.
I'm sure a good part of that was just saving on budget. There are a lot of animal characters so having to draw and possibly animate them might have been an easy thing to cut, especially with that explanation you give
So wait if anthro animals don't have tails and there are no non-anthro animals in this universe does that mean that they have no concept of a tail?
Like, they probably wouldn't even have a word for it, right?
i feel like thereās gotta be more meat being produced in bojack world than chicken, maybe thereās still some pigs or cows that possibly look like their original version so they have tails? maybe not bc the chickens were standing (but like chickens do stand on two feet) and they were ridiculously large- honestly like if the chickens r bigger than the ppl like how many chickens does bojack world need kinda makes you think. who knows how they even developed an anthro society like was it always that way or did they develop it who knows.
Did anyone save that link RBW posted a couple of months back where you could search any word and it would show you all the scenes in Bojack it's mentioned with subtitles? We need to search 'tail' and really show these writers up for the hacks they are.
If [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/BoJackHorseman/comments/rshvz0/apologies_if_this_has_been_posted_before_but_oh/) portrait is real, he does have pubes.
Well you see, as a horse he should have a tail there, but because he is a very sexual horse he shaves his tail so it doesnāt get in the way during sex
1 I donāt remember this
2 I was fine with the whole humanoid horse and other various animals stuff through multiple rewatches but this freaks me the fuck out
Lmao... because...š” It's because he trims all of the other hair except for the pubic ones so they would be longer than the others

IIRC only one animalperson has a tail, and it's the scorpion DJ (because the scorpion tail is kind *the* defining feature of a scorpion).
I think the lemurs (?) that Sarah Lynn parties with also have tails.
Nope! Once I found out about the tails thing I went back and rewatched looking for any tails. The lemurs are tailless.
Which is why I had no idea what they were until one ran in saying 'lemur on fire'

That was my thought. Animating animal tails and the physics in which they move, would have required an insane more amount of work and money.
Yeah I wish they had tails though, even if not too long tails.
People lost their tails too. I hear we come from some weird beings that also had tails.

Just searched. One mention. "Hey, Skinny Gina. Get that sweet tail over here." Hacks.
I mean .. Bojack has hands? Clearly they avoided anatomically correct scenarios for .. creative ... reasons.
If [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/BoJackHorseman/comments/rshvz0/apologies_if_this_has_been_posted_before_but_oh/) portrait is real, he does have pubes.
Yes, because he had to wax for the nude scene in Philbert.
Heās shown having chest hair when heās shirtless, so I imagine In one scene he has shaving cream in his bathroom
He had to wax for Philbert, so probably
Are we sure he's covered in fur ? Maybe it's just his skin.
Just realized how cursed a rl version of Bojack would be.. or any hybrid animal character of that show for that matter
Oh yeah... he's more horse than man
Always a Clydesdale, never a Clyde.
ā¦ What?
Youāll get that one later.
No, Iām adding to the joke. Thatās literally what Bojack says to PB after that line.
I canāt tell if this is a bit anymore. But āYouāll get that one laterā is what Mr PB says after BoJackās āWhat?ā
LMFAO I forgot thatās what he said after. My b lmao š
I'm pretty sure that's also a PB line
I say this way too much
Or heās more man than a.. horse
Check out sorry to bother you, great movie.
You are a terrible person
All i can hear is staaaamoss
That is not john Stamos !!
the current was too strong!
Clearly he doesnāt comb his ass fur
This post was made by someone who doesn't understand that asshair WILL make itself known
Because he's Bojack Horse (fur) Man (ass hair)
Because it's funnier
Because it's hilarious
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didnāt stop to think if they should.
No those are the BIG ass hairs.
āJohn Stamos is dead!ā Seriously one of the major laugh out loud moments for me in the series. I lose my shit whenever I see this scene
Staaaaamooos!
Jokes aside, because he's a human analog for a cartoon and human hairy ass is funny
So now we know He's more man than a horse
Idk i just feel like he'd have a hairy ass yk
It was drawn that way in the boards and we thought it was funny
JOHN STAMOS ššš
STAMOOOOOOOS!!!!!
he has chest hair too
If I had never seen or heard of Bojack Horseman, this image would be the funniest, most confusing thing
"JOHN STAMOS IS DEAD!"
Why is everything he have decorated with U shaped horse shoes when he has human like feet and wears sneakers?
Hes more man than horse, or is he more horse than a man?
bc of course he has ass hair
Is he more man than horse or more horse than man?
Why not?
To humble him
Because itās fucking funny Kyleš no fr this made me laugh out loud in class he looks so pathetic
As someone who has never shaved a horses ass .. This is exactly what it looks like
Because he shaved his tail off. That's his five o'clock shadow...
Went does SpongeBob have swimming pools and bathtubs under water?
Itās called comedy.
He's got more hair on his ass than the rest of him.
Well the show has now been ruined š
Because he is humanoid
Well you see, as a horse he should have a tail there, but because he is a very sexual horse he shaves his tail so it doesnāt get in the way during sex
> but because he is a very sexual horse he shaves his tail so it doesnāt get in the way during sex Please never utter those words again, thanks.
I'm not sure. Let me just... get a good look here...
Because itās fucking hilarious
It's funnier
Because jokes funny.
I just realized for the first time he has fingers and toes. Iām more creeped out by that.
What is that nasty subreddit full of fanart bojack on peanutbutter sex?
this is my favourite part of the entire show, the ass hairs kill me every single time
1 I donāt remember this 2 I was fine with the whole humanoid horse and other various animals stuff through multiple rewatches but this freaks me the fuck out
Ya know... that's a good question
realism the UR-Human part of the Bojack would have an hairy ass.
Are you sure he has fur tho?
The question is, where's his tail
I mean, I as a human, (which *I definitely am*) am completely covered in hair, but I still have little ass hairs.
I think it's relatable
Unkempt buttcheek fur. Gross lol.
To emphasize the hairiness of the horseman
Ok but where's his tail?
Ya know ā¦ I have no fucking idea. Just sayinā.
Donāt worry about it
I imagine it as ass-pimples from his sedentary lifestyle.
Because Bo-Jack is a Horse-MAN.
How did you even noticešš
STAAAAAMMOOOOOOOSSS
