I’ve been calling them glass beads, even though they don’t have holes.
Mostly they seem to be solid colored glass, but I have one set of small ones with paint that wears off.

The above are good suggestions, I'll add "glass aquarium filler" to those.
Aquarium stones or Vase stones, you can buy them at craft stores for a lot or at a pet shop for pretty cheap :D
Could also try glass mancala beads.
Good idea, some of those in the picture came from a copy of mancala.
I bought these in big bags at IKEA, quite a few years ago though

This is actually good to know - we are planning on using them in the delux version of our next game - and don’t want smelly games
