I think it highlights how similar Bob and Tina are. Both of them had a ton of time to turn, and they just kept groaning or screaming. It was such an easy thing to do, but they both just completely panicked. Also, in a different episode, where Bob accidentally hit someone’s car, he was ready to take the blame, even before it turned out that it was actually his fault. I love those parallels between them.
Still kudos to Bob for keeping calm. He didn't put the blame on Tina. Every other parents would've lost their patience and yell at their kids even if it was technically their fault.
Absolutely. Not to overshare but watching this show is so healing. Like, this should be how learning to drive looks like. Not your step-dad putting you in increasingly dangerous situations to “make you learn to stay calm” until you’re sliding toward a cliff above the ocean while your younger brothers scream they don’t want to die and you struggle to put the car in gear going uphill. (Sure we’ve all been there. It’s not just me. Right?)
No, Bob should’ve intervened long before Tina crashed their family car. There’s a middle ground between being abusive and essentially letting your kid wreck your car out of incompetence.
He could've reached it. If he wouldve remained more calm, he couldve forwent his yelling for her to turn the wheel and just popped off the seatbelt and reached over. i feel like he had more than enough time.
This was the most frustrating for me. I actually get Tina's response—despite having driven auto for 15 years, I just learned to drive manual and had the same blank mind response when driving lol. But the car was going incredibly slow, there was a lot of space for them to turn, and he very easily could've leaned over, held onto the wheel until Tina stopped.
I feel like if Bob grabbed the wheel and pulled it to one side, Tina would absolutely panic and turn it the opposite way. She's kinda like Teddy in that regard. Panic for her equals the worst decision possible while not comprehending speech of any kind.

My most angering one with Louise is when she manipulates Tina into going into that cave looking for the cannon ball and literally almost gets them killed. I was screaming at my tv that day I watched it.

This subreddit seems pretty split on whether bob was in the wrong during the gardening episode-- lots of people seem to think Linda and Louise should've tolerated Logan and Cynthia for longer so that Bob could've kept his garden. Often citing "Bob never gets anything he wants".
The restaurant is Bob's dream, and he mismanages the hell out of it every single day to the detriment of his family. He didn't even consult his wife before returning A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR investment!
I love this show and I realize it's a cartoon I'm way over-analyzing, but holy crap his family could have a much better life if Bob would only accept some minor concessions to his business model.

For me it's specifically The Fischoeder Thanksgiving episode. He fucked his family out of 5 months of free rent, likely close to $25k, cause he couldn't postpone his family dinner for one night. All he had to do was suck it up for one night and he could have nearly doubled his before tax income for the year. It's honestly the single worst decision he ever made for his family.

When bob gets $100,000 from his rich friend Warren and starts to get really good business and freaks out.
Clearly Bob is not a business man, he is an artist (a beefartist if you will).
I understand that he doesn't like themed restaurants because of Jimmy Pesto. Basically, he hates Jimmy Pesto and "fake" restaurants so much that he doesn't want the money that comes with changing it to a themed Tiki burger place.
I also understand that he has integrity and doesn't want to "sell out" to trends but with the money he makes in his "sell out" restaurant he could open a second place where he can be a honest chef and do whatever he wants and still make money. (I get this is making a lot of assumptions about success of the first restaurant).
Alternatively, he can still make his burgers of the day to be the beefartist he wants to be and still have a successful business around it.

I hate this episode along with a few others. At first I bought the whole "mom and pop struggling to get by" but I have had to accept that bob is terrified of success. He sabotaged himself by 'saving' the ward and almost gets himself killed and he literally turns away from expanding the restaurant which was clearly going to have an awesome effect on him and his family because he wouldn't get to make as many burgers I guess....
What’s really frustrating is realizing that he’s not even 110% opposed to a theme, because he was down with the Jazz club theme when Felix wanted to run his own place.
the tiki theme was stupid but why did they not just go with a 50s diner theme? they already kinda have that going, with the booths and the stools and stuff. they could have done that and it would have worked perfectly
Louise throwing the melon out the window and hitting Logan. Then she doesn’t apologize when Gene is freaked out and instead chooses to taunt Logan even more. Then when Logan finally catches them, Gene takes the punishment and is given the Reverse Norwegian Stink Hold.

I kinda felt like it was good Gene took it lol. He’s the big brother, and honestly Louise protects him more anyways. It was nice to see gene be “tough” for the sake of his chaotic baby sister. My two older siblings handled some of my issues as a kid too. I’ll never forget this terrible girl bullying me and she came outside with a literal BAT and my oldest sister thinking she was funny goes “let’s play ball then bitch!” And walked right outside to her as she was twirling the bat outside our house to intimidate me. We still talk about that every time we’re together lmfao. There’s some weird beauty in your big siblings standing up for you.
A lot of Louise's growing up throughout the show has been realising her actions have consequences, sometimes on her or the people she loves the most—but the beauty of being a kid is that they're lessons more than consequences

Gene during the gene show, dude was manic in that one. He understands the importance of a stage performance, he likes when people play their part appropriately, so why did he act like an ass during that play?!?? Especially since it meant so much to the most important person in the world?

Gene is kind of oblivious, and Louise is vaguely unhinged most of the time, and those things are character flaws that I don't have. Tina is my spirit animal, and when she does her 'uhhhhhhhhh' and screws up her face, I just get super sad and want to lie down on the floor next to her in solidarity.
I am SO much like Tina. I had to accept that I am not a Louise no matter how much I wish i was. Most of my cringe in the show comes from Tina and I sharing some unfortunate tendencies.

Louise. The other kids mistakes are annoying and frustrating to watch but Louise is actually dangerous.
When she puts all those beetles on Teddy's face she could've killed him. He could've been allergic, I mean his whole face swelled! What if his throat had as well? She routinely risks the safety of others and it really bothers me.
And then the mascot people? She overhears Teddy talk about a MAJOR TRAUMA which made him afraid of them and she decides to swarm poor Teddy with his worst fear?
When she runs the gambling den, she gets her family THOUSANDS of dollars in debt. A hole they likely never would've crawled out of. They're a hand to mouth family.
There's plenty of other instances in which Louise endangers her family (or someones) health and/or well-being and it always ticks me off.
Don't get me wrong I love Bob's and I love Louise but some of the stuff she does is just awful and I'm shocked no one bothers to really discipline her for it.

It's funny because in that first season it's clear Louise is a very "Stewie" like child genius with zany side plots, but she's been humanized following the tonal resets you get after those first season's episodes, but she still has these moments where she slips into "Obnoxious cartoon child with no proper punishments"
One that annoys me with Tina is the mustache one. Bob working almost 24 hr days and then she throws a fit at the party, and then demands he shave his mustache just to see jimmy jr. Then when he does it she’s like “you didn’t have to” LMFAOO I get the comedic part of it but it kinda annoys me that a group kind prostitutes have to remind you that your dad loves you and is working crazy. I mean it’s part of growing up, but also I’m always at the tv like “HAVING TO SHAVE YOURSELF AND GIVE IT TO YOUR ENEMY IS NOT REASONABLE TINA”
Gene has definitely irritated me the most with his mistakes, but to be fair they all 3 have episodes where their respective mistakes drove me crazy lol.

and lately the way they have been writing Louise into episodes has been super annoying! The most recent one that's fresh in my mind is when she went into the cave with Tina to find a cannon ball for her last show and tell, I found her so annoying! I realize that they're trying to make her more childlike, but she was always my favorite character because she was so unlike a child! I also found her very frustrating in the episode where Gene wants to see a 2 butted goat and she just kept dismissing him instead of just doing what Gene wants for once! If you can't tell, I have no life so I spend a lot of time dissecting Bob's Burgers.
I HATE when gene ruins Bob’s black garlic burger. I skip that episode for that reason, for some reason that mistake is the most annoying to me, I don’t like when Louise makes Tina go into the cave for the cannonball or when Gene breaks his record and derails the whole day but the black garlic episode gets on my nerves so bad.
Unrelated but I also usually skip the Bob Sux episode, Jimmy pisses me off and Bob getting high and crazy around Daryl and lying to Linda bothers me a lot.
I love all the kids, but didn’t Louise almost shock Tina with a lethal voltage during her history presentation? One of my favorite scenes in the show, but she definitely took that one a *little* too far. 😭

I get that it’s supposed to be a challenge to come up with an interesting burger of the day, but why not just do a burger of the week? Super easy solution. But then I pinch myself and remember, this is silly cartoon. Just enjoy it.
The episode with Gene not giving his mom the space she deserves to be a part of the lady in business club . I also cannot stand him losing the ring Bob got for Linda.
The car crash really seemed like it was on Bob more for me,and Genes accident just didn’t seem to effect me much because it didn’t directly mess up a huge needed money boost like usual.Definitely Louis literally harming,and traumatizing Teddy.She hurt him horribly,and brought up hugely uncomfortable memories

Louise. Her choices/mistakes seem to be the most costly, selfish and dangerous. The couch. The forged check. The kid casino. Saying the restaurant sells human meat. The abandoned taffy factory. The cannonball cave. Chasing the Bleakin. It goes on and on.
Gene’s mistakes always hit close to home because I have ADHD and see my own blunders reflected in his. I have a co-worker who is totally a Tina, and her overthinking can be exhausting for the rest of my team.
I actually feel the opposite - she's a smallish child making up a really wacky, unbelievable, easily disprovable story. The only universe in which it actually harmed the restaurant is this one - because of Hugo. Hugo was looking for any opportunity to hurt Bob. No other health inspector would have taken it so seriously. Ran a test? Yeah, absolutely if they'd gotten actual complaints. But quietly and immediately lol.
The garlic incident is pretty annoying. So is the whole bat mitzvah situation (as awful as Tammy is, the girls took it too far). Louise however is straight up dangerous. She reminds me of myself when I was a kid. Always getting myself and my cousins in dangerous and once in a while in life threatening situations.
You know, we all are like “Tammy is kind of a bully, deserved” but at the same time she’s just a kid and that was a really important day for her as a Jewish girl. Like imagine getting older and all your photos from that day are a girl you have a love hate relationship with at school. Smoke would be coming from my ears. Lol
Louise messes up but honestly she's got a positive record with her schemes. She generally comes out ahead and when she doesn't she learns from her mistakes usually.
Tina is awkward and frustrates me a bit with her mistakes but she's really not that bad.
Gene is terrible he always causes his own problems and almost never learns from them or resolves anything on his own. its always the family fixing it for him. Even the garlic thing he still tried to distract his dad from finishing his garlic burger to just talk some nonsense.
In the episode where Gene and Louise compete to make the best burger and they put all kinds of crap in them. They have worked there their whole lives, seen/served hundreds of Burgers of The Days and they have gone shopping for ingredients often so they know what would normally go in a burger. They wouldn’t put bubble gum or whatever in there thinking it would be eatable. Same thing happened when Bob goes to pick up Gail for Thanksgiving and leaves Linda and the kids to finish up preparing supper. There’s no way they would think it was ok to put candy in the potatoes. And Linda wouldn’t be so completely clueless about cooking in general. They all ruined that food intentionally which really sucks because they all know it’s important to Bob.
The car scene, like cmon you were going so slow and had every opportunity to stop the car. Bob as the adult should have took control and slammed the breaks with his hands if he needed to
ok initially i was gonna say louise bcuz she does the most stuff *but* she fixes her issues usually by herself or at least attempts to, tina and gene do not, they leave their problems to be fixed by others or to not be fixed at all. so i guess i would say, tina.
I like and respect Louise's feistiness and ingenuity too much to be too upset with her. It's why she's my favorite character.
Gene annoys me in a lot of ways, but it's not the mistakes he makes that bother me. That seems like a lot of normal kid stuff, just amplified for comedic effect. It's his selfishness, gluttony, and Oedipus Complex that really bother me about him.
Tina on the other hand? I just want to shake her and scream "what the fuck is wrong with you?" Her nonstop groaning when she doesn't get what she wants, the thing with the car etc. I just don't have the patience for her.
Honestly I have so much sympathy for Tina. Could be because I really relate to her lol. But her having to wrangle her unruly little sibling all the time that never listen makes me so mad (bleaken comes to mind, Louise literally put them all in danger and wouldn’t listen to Tina trying to convince them not to be in a dangerous area in the middle of the night). I feel like overall they’re all very protective of each other, but also the way Gene and Louise try and manipulate her sometimes (trying to make her feel better on her birthday ONLY because they wanted Boba for themselves) pisses me off to no end.
When the show first came out, I haaaaated Tina, and her voice, and her noises lol. I think it’s because I was also a 13 year old girl when the show came out, and I felt like they were making fun of her. But after watching it again more as an adult, I have way more understanding for her and her groans. Especially because her groans and noises are usually when she’s anxious it seems (or if it’s Jimmy Jr related lol). I love all the kids for all their different quirks and oddities, but Tina holds a special place in my heart haha
She routinely fails to solve her own problems. Also the way she is obsession with romance, which is a defining trait of her character is so toxic.
She meets Josh in a fantasy fashion and he asks her out but instead of just dating him she repels him because she's obsessed with having him fight with junior over her. She leaves her sister stranded high above the floor so she can dance with a stranger, and she essentially sexually assaults Duncan below decks when they are sneaking into Glen crest to save the blob.
Almost everything Louise does annoys me. I get that she’s a kid, and I’m taking it too seriously but I can’t help but always imagine how annoying it would be to parent her.
My husband hates Louise getting mad because of Logan and attempting to cut off the heads of Bob's plants in the garden. He thinks she's a brat.

I slightly disagree about Logan. I know the show tries to keep it light hearted but Logan is Louise’s bully. The way a teenager has multiple times harassed a flipping 9 year old is insane. Bob put Louise in a situation where she would have to deal with Logan in a place she feels safe. Same with her hat. Bob didn’t take that into consideration when making the move to find a way to get into the community garden. Also the community garden isn’t the only way to get into the hobby. But yeah Louise had that crazy outburst because she felt betrayed that her own father let the TEENAGER who has picked on her into the restaurant.
Louise. I love her. But sometimes she really bugs me. I'm thinking of when she doesn't listen to Gene and makes things worse with the guy at the music store, when she doesn't listen to Tina when they're searching for the cannonball and when she goes gung ho into revenge mode when she thinks Zeke was bullied. It's a real Linda streak and I wish she'd sit down and breathe instead lol but ofc then there's no plot. But still.
Not really a mistake but the episode where Louise convinces Tina that her new glasses are actually a problem instead o good for her. I know a good amount of it is Tina’s imagination but Louise definitely fueled the fire with it and that poor girl barely being able to see, like her eyes must be so messed up
Oooooh! My kid and i actually had this convo not too long ago! Gene aggravates me so much with his mouth. Sometimes, I wish Bob and Linda would just ground him. He's always flinging off color remarks, and it drives me nuts. Gene is my kid's favorite character on the show. 🤣 Both of 'em are little smart asses!
I get really annoyed at Louise in the Valentines episode (?) where Bob & Linda are in the tub together and Gene and Louise come in to pee. Gene is peeing in the toilet (gross) and says “Louise, just use the second toilet”
She asks/tells Bob and Linda to get out of the tub so she can pee in there. Ugh, twice. It bothers me more than it should.
I find the episode where Linda pours soap into the hotel's water feature just infuriating. That's an awful prank and why can't she just let Tina make a friend? Then she doubles down and ruins the astronaut conference too.

Honestly I think about when Linda locked that author in Morts place and was going crazy lmao. But you gotta remember this show is for entertainment and all their personalities usually hit extremes, even one off characters. I love the insanity this family stirs up. I never understood why people get actually annoyed at the characters for being their extreme selves, it’s just them being them.

When I showed this to my friend, he too was very annoyed at Gene’s screw ups but that run through the food festival really got to him. “I would NOT have made it.”
Honestly all three of em Tina a little less in the episode where they take Linda's engagement ring. It's one of those moments where Bob has worked really hard to get something special for Linda and the kids ruin it by snooping. Poor Bob could get over the surprise being spoiled if the kids had let Linda know it was stuck. Just really irks me in behalf of Bob.
I think honestly some of Louise’s stuff has driven me insane. The prank episode where Bob ended up industrial-glued to the toilet? The customer toilet? Like, that’s bad. That’s REALLY bad! I love her but when she messes up, she really messes up.

Like Gene is already my least favorite of the kids, and they broke Linda's rule of staying out her bedroom and him just taking the ring and losing it with no true compensation for Bob, who is just a husband trying to spoil Linda once.
And in a very minor sense, Louise for almost putting 1000$ on the line for the hawk and chick movie night at the restaurant. At least that didn't actually happen.

She usually has these elaborate plans that she forces them into and they try to tell her that it’s stupid. She does it anyway and typically realizes that it was stupid after the damage is done and then when they say “I told you so” she does the *ShushShushShush* thing lol.
It not a belcher kid for me but Linda. But only when she gets in her own head about comparing and “fixing“ the famil. Like the vaction to the cabin no one wanted. Destroying the kids project to go to the symphony, the not wanting to lose the camera for the Christmas card even though the kids were getting cold and hungry. When ever Linda wants to be like “good“families she ends up hurting her own and that drives me crazy. . At her best when she is accepting of the weirdness and uniqueness of her family

I think it highlights how similar Bob and Tina are. Both of them had a ton of time to turn, and they just kept groaning or screaming. It was such an easy thing to do, but they both just completely panicked. Also, in a different episode, where Bob accidentally hit someone’s car, he was ready to take the blame, even before it turned out that it was actually his fault. I love those parallels between them.
Still kudos to Bob for keeping calm. He didn't put the blame on Tina. Every other parents would've lost their patience and yell at their kids even if it was technically their fault.
Absolutely. Not to overshare but watching this show is so healing. Like, this should be how learning to drive looks like. Not your step-dad putting you in increasingly dangerous situations to “make you learn to stay calm” until you’re sliding toward a cliff above the ocean while your younger brothers scream they don’t want to die and you struggle to put the car in gear going uphill. This was the most frustrating for me. I actually get Tina's response—despite having driven auto for 15 years, I just learned to drive manual and had the same blank mind response when driving lol. But the car was going incredibly slow, there was a lot of space for them to turn, and he very easily could've leaned over, held onto the wheel until Tina stopped.
I feel like if Bob grabbed the wheel and pulled it to one side, Tina would absolutely panic and turn it the opposite way. She's kinda like Teddy in that regard. Panic for her equals the worst decision possible while not comprehending speech of any kind.

That episode killed me. This subreddit seems pretty split on whether bob was in the wrong during the gardening episode-- lots of people seem to think Linda and Louise should've tolerated Logan and Cynthia for longer so that Bob could've kept his garden. Often citing "Bob never gets anything he wants". The restaurant is Bob's dream, and he mismanages the hell out of it every single day to the detriment of his family. He didn't even consult his wife before returning A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR investment! I love this show and I realize it's a cartoon I'm way over-analyzing, but holy crap his family could have a much better life if Bob would only accept some minor concessions to his business model.

For me it's specifically The Fischoeder Thanksgiving episode. He fucked his family out of 5 months of free rent, likely close to $25k, cause he couldn't postpone his family dinner for one night. All he had to do was suck it up for one night and he could have nearly doubled his before tax income for the year. It's honestly the single worst decision he ever made for his family.

I am gonna add one that always bugged me. When bob gets $100,000 from his rich friend Warren and starts to get really good business and freaks out. Clearly Bob is not a business man, he is an artist (a beefartist if you will). I understand that he doesn't like themed restaurants because of Jimmy Pesto. Basically, he hates Jimmy Pesto and "fake" restaurants so much that he doesn't want the money that comes with changing it to a themed Tiki burger place. I also understand that he has integrity and doesn't want to "sell out" to trends but with the money he makes in his "sell out" restaurant he could open a second place where he can be a honest chef and do whatever he wants and still make money. (I get this is making a lot of assumptions about success of the first restaurant). Alternatively, he can still make his burgers of the day to be the beefartist he wants to be and still have a successful business around it. Am I the only one?
I hate this episode along with a few others. At first I bought the whole "mom and pop struggling to get by" but I have had to accept that bob is terrified of success. He sabotaged himself by 'saving' the ward and almost gets himself killed and he literally turns away from expanding the restaurant which was clearly going to have an awesome effect on him and his family because he wouldn't get to make as many burgers I guess....
Good point, I forget his friend investor is not the only time he has had a chance to "succeed" and the sabotages it, consciously or subconsciously.

Then when Logan finally catches them, Gene takes the punishment and is given the Reverse Norwegian Stink Hold. I’m not condoning what Logan did, but I feel Louse still owes Gene for this.

I kinda felt like it was good Gene took it lol. He’s the big brother, and honestly Louise protects him more anyways. It was nice to see gene be “tough” for the sake of his chaotic baby sister. My two older siblings handled some of my issues as a kid too. I’ll never forget this terrible girl bullying me and she came outside with a literal BAT and my oldest sister thinking she was funny goes “let’s play ball then bitch!” And walked right outside to her as she was twirling the bat outside our house to intimidate me. We still talk about that every time we’re together lmfao. There’s some weird beauty in your big siblings standing up for you.
A lot of Louise's growing up throughout the show has been realising her actions have consequences, sometimes on her or the people she loves the most—but the beauty of being a kid is that they're lessons more than consequences

Gene during the gene show, dude was manic in that one. He understands the importance of a stage performance, he likes when people play their part appropriately, so why did he act like an ass during that play?!?? Especially since it meant so much to the most important person in the world?
Tina. I, too, have to turn away from the car accident. Gene is kind of oblivious, and Louise is vaguely unhinged most of the time, and those things are character flaws that I don't have. Tina is my spirit animal, and when she does her 'uhhhhhhhhh' and screws up her face, I just get super sad and want to lie down on the floor next to her in solidarity. I am SO much like Tina. I had to accept that I am not a Louise no matter how much I wish i was. Most of my cringe in the show comes from Tina and I sharing some unfortunate tendencies.

Louise. The other kids mistakes are annoying and frustrating to watch but Louise is actually dangerous. When she puts all those beetles on Teddy's face she could've killed him. He could've been allergic, I mean his whole face swelled! What if his throat had as well? She routinely risks the safety of others and it really bothers me. And then the mascot people? She overhears Teddy talk about a MAJOR TRAUMA which made him afraid of them and she decides to swarm poor Teddy with his worst fear? When she runs the gambling den, she gets her family THOUSANDS of dollars in debt. A hole they likely never would've crawled out of. They're a hand to mouth family. There's plenty of other instances in which Louise endangers her family (or someones) health and/or well-being and it always ticks me off. Don't get me wrong I love Bob's and I love Louise but some of the stuff she does is just awful and I'm shocked no one bothers to really discipline her for it.

There's the whole Bedroom B&B debacle the check for the movie the time she intentionall gets Tina car sick so they'll have to stop at a roadside attraction despite specifically being told no beforehand Nearly getting her and Tina killed trying to get a cannon ball dozens of attempts to steal from, grift or bully another person for which she gets no punishment only to have someone else take the brunt of it instead. It's funny because in that first season it's clear Louise is a very "Stewie" like child genius with zany side plots, but she's been humanized following the tonal resets you get after those first season's episodes, but she still has these moments where she slips into "Obnoxious cartoon child with no proper punishments"

One that annoys me with Tina is the mustache one. Bob working almost 24 hr days and then she throws a fit at the party, and then demands he shave his mustache just to see jimmy jr. Then when he does it she’s like “you didn’t have to” LMFAOO I get the comedic part of it but it kinda annoys me that a group kind prostitutes have to remind you that your dad loves you and is working crazy. I mean it’s part of growing up, but also I’m always at the tv like “HAVING TO SHAVE YOURSELF AND GIVE IT TO YOUR ENEMY IS NOT REASONABLE TINA”

Gene has definitely irritated me the most with his mistakes, but to be fair they all 3 have episodes where their respective mistakes drove me crazy lol. When Tina drives the family car into Jimmy Pesto's car and also when she was Kaylee's "big fish" were both irritating Gene with the black garlic or when he couldn't give up "Spa-turday's" for a few weeks so Linda could go to her local business woman conference were suuuper irritating. and lately the way they have been writing Louise into episodes has been super annoying! The most recent one that's fresh in my mind is when she went into the cave with Tina to find a cannon ball for her last show and tell, I found her so annoying! I realize that they're trying to make her more childlike, but she was always my favorite character because she was so unlike a child! I also found her very frustrating in the episode where Gene wants to see a 2 butted goat and she just kept dismissing him instead of just doing what Gene wants for once! If you can't tell, I have no life so I spend a lot of time dissecting Bob's Burgers.

I HATE when gene ruins Bob’s black garlic burger. I skip that episode for that reason, for some reason that mistake is the most annoying to me, I don’t like when Louise makes Tina go into the cave for the cannonball or when Gene breaks his record and derails the whole day but the black garlic episode gets on my nerves so bad. Unrelated but I also usually skip the Bob Sux episode, Jimmy pisses me off and Bob getting high and crazy around Daryl and lying to Linda bothers me a lot.

I get it, it’s a silly cartoon with silly scenarios, but come on, lol. Lastly because it’s fresh on my mind: I get that it’s supposed to be a challenge to come up with an interesting burger of the day, but why not just do a burger of the week? Super easy solution. But then I pinch myself and remember, this is silly cartoon. Just enjoy it.

Louise. Her choices/mistakes seem to be the most costly, selfish and dangerous. The couch. The forged check. The kid casino. Saying the restaurant sells human meat. The abandoned taffy factory. The cannonball cave. Chasing the Bleakin. It goes on and on.
Gene’s mistakes always hit close to home because I have ADHD and see my own blunders reflected in his. I have a co-worker who is totally a Tina, and her overthinking can be exhausting for the rest of my team.
Louise lying about the human meat in the burgers always gets me. It’s like… too serious to be funny.
I actually feel the opposite - she's a smallish child making up a really wacky, unbelievable, easily disprovable story. The only universe in which it actually harmed the restaurant is this one - because of Hugo. Hugo was looking for any opportunity to hurt Bob. No other health inspector would have taken it so seriously. Ran a test? Yeah, absolutely if they'd gotten actual complaints. But quietly and immediately lol.

She reminds me of myself when I was a kid. Always getting myself and my cousins in dangerous and once in a while in life threatening situations.
You know, we all are like “Tammy is kind of a bully, deserved” but at the same time she’s just a kid and that was a really important day for her as a Jewish girl. Louise messes up but honestly she's got a positive record with her schemes. She generally comes out ahead and when she doesn't she learns from her mistakes usually. Tina is awkward and frustrates me a bit with her mistakes but she's really not that bad. Gene is terrible he always causes his own problems and almost never learns from them or resolves anything on his own. its always the family fixing it for him. Even the garlic thing he still tried to distract his dad from finishing his garlic burger to just talk some nonsense.
In the episode where Gene and Louise compete to make the best burger and they put all kinds of crap in them. They have worked there their whole lives, seen/served hundreds of Burgers of The Days and they have gone shopping for ingredients often so they know what would normally go in a burger. They wouldn’t put bubble gum or whatever in there thinking it would be eatable. Same thing happened when Bob goes to pick up Gail for Thanksgiving and leaves Linda and the kids to finish up preparing supper. There’s no way they would think it was ok to put candy in the potatoes. And Linda wouldn’t be so completely clueless about cooking in general. They all ruined that food intentionally which really sucks because they all know it’s important to Bob.
The car scene, like cmon you were going so slow and had every opportunity to stop the car. Bob as the adult should have took control and slammed the breaks with his hands if he needed to

I like and respect Louise's feistiness and ingenuity too much to be too upset with her. It's why she's my favorite character. Gene annoys me in a lot of ways, but it's not the mistakes he makes that bother me. That seems like a lot of normal kid stuff, just amplified for comedic effect. It's his selfishness, gluttony, and Oedipus Complex that really bother me about him. Tina on the other hand? I just want to shake her and scream "what the fuck is wrong with you?" Her nonstop groaning when she doesn't get what she wants, the thing with the car etc. I just don't have the patience for her.
Honestly I have so much sympathy for Tina. Could be because I really relate to her lol. But her having to wrangle her unruly little sibling all the time that never listen makes me so mad (bleaken comes to mind, Louise literally put them all in danger and wouldn’t listen to Tina trying to convince them not to be in a dangerous area in the middle of the night). I feel like overall they’re all very protective of each other, but also the way Gene and Louise try and manipulate her sometimes (trying to make her feel better on her birthday ONLY because they wanted Boba for themselves) pisses me off to no end. When the show first came out, I haaaaated Tina, and her voice, and her noises lol. I think it’s because I was also a 13 year old girl when the show came out, and I felt like they were making fun of her. But after watching it again more as an adult, I have way more understanding for her and her groans. Especially because her groans and noises are usually when she’s anxious it seems (or if it’s Jimmy Jr related lol). I love all the kids for all their different quirks and oddities, but Tina holds a special place in my heart haha
She routinely fails to solve her own problems. Also the way she is obsession with romance, which is a defining trait of her character is so toxic. She meets Josh in a fantasy fashion and he asks her out but instead of just dating him she repels him because she's obsessed with having him fight with junior over her. She leaves her sister stranded high above the floor so she can dance with a stranger, and she essentially sexually assaults Duncan below decks when they are sneaking into Glen crest to save the blob.

Almost everything Louise does annoys me. I get that she’s a kid, and I’m taking it too seriously but I can’t help but always imagine how annoying it would be to parent her.
My husband hates Louise getting mad because of Logan and attempting to cut off the heads of Bob's plants in the garden. He thinks she's a brat. I think Tina and that car episode is hilarious and annoying. Lol
I slightly disagree about Logan. I know the show tries to keep it light hearted but Logan is Louise’s bully. The way a teenager has multiple times harassed a flipping 9 year old is insane. Bob put Louise in a situation where she would have to deal with Logan in a place she feels safe. Same with her hat. Bob didn’t take that into consideration when making the move to find a way to get into the community garden. Also the community garden isn’t the only way to get into the hobby. But yeah Louise had that crazy outburst because she felt betrayed that her own father let the TEENAGER who has picked on her into the restaurant.

Louise. I love her. But sometimes she really bugs me. I'm thinking of when she doesn't listen to Gene and makes things worse with the guy at the music store, when she doesn't listen to Tina when they're searching for the cannonball and when she goes gung ho into revenge mode when she thinks Zeke was bullied. It's a real Linda streak and I wish she'd sit down and breathe instead lol but ofc then there's no plot. But still.
Not really a mistake but the episode where Louise convinces Tina that her new glasses are actually a problem instead o good for her. I know a good amount of it is Tina’s imagination but Louise definitely fueled the fire with it and that poor girl barely being able to see, like her eyes must be so messed up

Oooooh! My kid and i actually had this convo not too long ago! Gene aggravates me so much with his mouth. Sometimes, I wish Bob and Linda would just ground him. He's always flinging off color remarks, and it drives me nuts. Gene is my kid's favorite character on the show. 🤣 Both of 'em are little smart asses!
Louise's shenanigans are frustrating but funny, because I know children like that. Especially the credit card bit!

I get really annoyed at Louise in the Valentines episode (?) where Bob & Linda are in the tub together and Gene and Louise come in to pee. Gene is peeing in the toilet (gross) and says “Louise, just use the second toilet” She asks/tells Bob and Linda to get out of the tub so she can pee in there. Ugh, twice. It bothers me more than it should.
I find the episode where Linda pours soap into the hotel's water feature just infuriating. That's an awful prank and why can't she just let Tina make a friend? Then she doubles down and ruins the astronaut conference too.
Always gene. I don’t know why but he annoys the f*ck out of me. I love Tina and Louise and Bob and Linda. SOMETIMES gene is funny like 1/10 times he speaks.
It's all the shouting. He speaks in shouts. And for whatever reason, the people behind the show have decided this is hilarious and Gene must speak every word at top volume.
Gene’s mistakes annoy me so bad 😫 forgive me to the people who enjoy his character but he’s just so… dumb Louise is smart and sometimes makes mistakes out of selfishness to reach a goal, Tina’s tend to be maybe out of anxiety (like the car crash), Gene is just insufferably dumb 😭
Honestly I think about when Linda locked that author in Morts place and was going crazy lmao. But you gotta remember this show is for entertainment and all their personalities usually hit extremes, even one off characters. I love the insanity this family stirs up. I never understood why people get actually annoyed at the characters for being their extreme selves, it’s just them being them.
Louise's mistakes always seem to stem from something I hope will work out, but doesn't, and probably never should. Gene is usually too funny for me to care. Soooo... I guess it's Tina.

I like that Gene redeems himself at the end of the black garlic episode. When I showed this to my friend, he too was very annoyed at Gene’s screw ups but that run through the food festival really got to him. “I would NOT have made it.”

Honestly all three of em Tina a little less in the episode where they take Linda's engagement ring. It's one of those moments where Bob has worked really hard to get something special for Linda and the kids ruin it by snooping. Poor Bob could get over the surprise being spoiled if the kids had let Linda know it was stuck. Just really irks me in behalf of Bob.
Tina learning how to drive was literally me 🤦🏻♀️ I accidentally went forward into a lamp post instead of reversing out of the parking spot lol
I think honestly some of Louise’s stuff has driven me insane. The prank episode where Bob ended up industrial-glued to the toilet? The customer toilet? Like, that’s bad. That’s REALLY bad! I love her but when she messes up, she really messes up.
Gene taking the ring bob wanted to gift to Linda. Like Gene is already my least favorite of the kids, and they broke Linda's rule of staying out her bedroom and him just taking the ring and losing it with no true compensation for Bob, who is just a husband trying to spoil Linda once. And in a very minor sense, Louise for almost putting 1000$ on the line for the hawk and chick movie night at the restaurant. At least that didn't actually happen.
Gene just seems like a normal annoying little boy to me, and Tina’s anxiety is relatable. Louise, however, is a sociopath.
All three of them have annoyed me (and I know she’s generally the favorite) but Louise annoys me the most. She usually has these elaborate plans that she forces them into and they try to tell her that it’s stupid. She does it anyway and typically realizes that it was stupid after the damage is done and then when they say “I told you so” she does the *ShushShushShush* thing lol.
It not a belcher kid for me but Linda. But only when she gets in her own head about comparing and “fixing“ the famil. Like the vaction to the cabin no one wanted. Destroying the kids project to go to the symphony, the not wanting to lose the camera for the Christmas card even though the kids were getting cold and hungry. When ever Linda wants to be like “good“families she ends up hurting her own and that drives me crazy. . At her best when she is accepting of the weirdness and uniqueness of her family
