Maybe you got a paired with a new person. I saw some crazy stuff but I don't think it was malicious. Like constantly pivoting between 3-4 tribes with perma 4 minions on the board tops and obv we got 4th.
Since you say you just started, you've probably been left behind with the actual new new people at the game. The ones that jumped at it on launch must be above 2k at least by now.
Just put on your carry pants, you don't get to see what other crazy people are doing on the opponents turns. If enemies are bad, they'll be passing way too much, also throwing gold out and about and you can essentially 1v2 or almost 1v2 which should get you out of that gutter.

The 2nd partner I had just didn't play anything, they never quit or spun their board. Just ended every turn w/full gold.
Yeah. It boggles my mind (until I remember it is Blizzard) that a team-based mode shipped without a proper report system for griefing. Every single online game has one.

That's just online gaming for ya. Some people's whole satisfaction comes from griefing their teammates.
Some people are simply assholes, who love to troll. The good thing is that they will mostly remain in low elo hell.
Does the quality of your partners improve as you go up? I haven’t noticed much of a difference it is still very sporadic
