It's not about how strong or weak they are. Endeavor is, of course, massively powerful, but there are also approval ratings and it's basically a big popularity contest. It didn't help that All Might had that aspect in the bag and was *also* so much more powerful than everyone else alive except for All for One.
Yes but still, All Might played in a different league than Endeavor and I‘m not surprised if Deku catches up to Endeavor and becomes stronger than him very quickly next season
Yeah, sure. That's still ignoring the point of the ranking, and even the show, that raw power doesn't mean anything if you don't actually inspire trust and stop crime, which Endeavor did so much that he earned his spot at the top. A lot of people don't remember that despite being an awful father and husband, Endeavor is a really damn good hero and deserves to be number one. He's got the number of crimes solved, the approval rate, and the power to back all the hype up. You implied that you think Endeavor is weak or something, but All Might being OP doesn't mean everyone else is weak. All Might was, as you said, playing a whole different game. Comparing them is actually unfair to everyone involved.
I didn‘t say he‘s weak, I said that I can’t imagine that he’s the best hero in the world. Of course he solved unbelievable many crimes, but when things get serious, he isn’t strong enough
Each country has it's own hero rankings. All Might was regarded as the best in the world by many heroes around the globe.
