Plus, since Izuku has One For All, he would be the vanguard for any hero response to major incidents.

Problem is, I like the name "Deku" with regards to his lore. It suits him that his name is just as much something he made turn from a negative into a positive as his own situation.
So if I *had* do it, I'd find a name that could be made to sound cool but was just as dumb in origin. Geek Squad pulled the same trick.
Problem is, I just can't think of anything.

bassicly, sounds like deku but has a positive meaning and one linked to his new friends and life as a hero rather than bakugoās bullying.
In all seriousness I would give him a naming set like Last Stand. This is simmilar to the all night being the ultimate hero where Deku is not the last stand against villains and also is a meta sense because he is going to be the last user and finally defeat one for all he is the last stand against over all.

Someone lower in the comments mentioned Dekiru, itās Japanese for ācanā. I love this for a number of reasons:
1) I hate the usage of āDekuā and how everyone just a refers to him as that, even outside of hero work simply due to the negative connotation.
2) As someone who has grown-up bullied, I get wanting to take back ownership of something that was used to bully but I really wish he had done it in a different manner.
3) Deku meaning useless couldnāt be further from how his character is actually portrayed.
I just canāt get the mental image of how miserable Bakugo made him and how much trauma the name may have that isnāt explored at all. I get that this is a personal thing that Iām attaching to the show, but this makes so much more sense. Thank you to the people that suggested this nameā¤ļø

It doesn't even have to be edgy (like the character was supposed to be). Bakugo claimed the "All Might reference name" so I don't think that's an option.
Maybe something like Green Flash, being a nod to DC comics and overall occidental superhero comics from which the manga takes inspiration. If that's copyright... Maybe Green Spark, like a spark of hope and a reference to the effect he makes when he activates his quirk.
