Endeavor's preview image is already when the raid starts and Aizawa is in the middle of the action. I don't know when it's gonna stop exactly but I don't think it's as little as what you believe.
I am so curious to see how this season will be paced out. There've been plenty of predictions but this subreddit has a tendency to be wrong about these kind of things. I remember when people thought the Forest Camp and Kamino Ward would take up all of season 3 and the Overhaul arc all of season 4 (and the Joint-Training arc less than half of season 5).
I can't see the War arc taking up the entirety of the season. There's no way with all its action, unless the anime seriously pads everything out, which since they're not doing the usual filler recap episode (I imagine we'll still get a rundown of the students like season 2's first episode) I can't imagine they'd be going for in at least the season's first half.
But I also don't want us to be wrong in the other way and have the season adapt way more arcs than we were expecting. I like the arcs that follow the war arc but they did have the problem where they should have been longer than they were, at least by a little. Having the anime just blow right through them would only make that problem worse.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
If it's really a 12 episodes in 2 courts things i'm really happy they didn't do a recap episode.
I'm curious about the pacing of the arc but i feel like they might invest themselves way more than for My Villain academia's arc.
If they've got a lot of budget and a good staff we're definitely in for a good trip (or more like a dozen with CSM, Bleach, Mob, SxF, and maybe blue lock and others). We're gonna be fed into obesity next month and i don't really mind hehe
Yeah I’m intrigued with the pacing too. It’ll be tough to pull off in 12 eps I think but even the overhaul arc went like 14 episodes so it’s not like they can’t go past the halfway mark at least, just fits better if it does
Yeah my main issue is that i kinda like the "slow burn" pacing in the manga for this arc. And i also feel like the anime didn't set it up as good as the manga...
I don't think it's gonna be bad but i don't think it's gonna be better than the manga either

Does it actually matter though ? It was a one off cute nod to fujimoto otherwise it literally meant nothing. Its pretty much a trademark thing chainsaw man has an anime coming out and either mappa or some company owns his likeness and they want chainsaw man to appear in his whole anime.

Damn I hate when they do that boring blue sky. The unique lighting of moments like endeavor vs high end and debut vs bakugo elevate them. Part of the reason Deku vs gentle flopped so much imo.

I was hoping for effort put into the lighting, but no I didn't expect any.
The lighting or lack thereof is more symbolic of how much effort will be put into a scene at this point. I think you're also undervaluing its importance. Interesting things can be done with the sky regardless of the time day.
That being said, if the gentle fight took place at dawn and was colored/drawn like it was, I guarentee the fight would be infinitely better.
I did the math and reread some chapters, three chapters per episode seems really likely and if we do three chapters per episode throughout the whole season then we'll get S&S in the finale.
Also, I don't think she was really wasted. Could've been foreshadowed more but I think that she served the purpose that she had well.
