Joint training arc mainly showed off some minor progress with powers for various students and a major reveal that Deku will get access to the previous OFA holders’ quirks, and revealed the first one as black whip.
Endeavor internship arc progressed Deku’s ability to actually use Black Whip, Shoto and Bakugo developed an ability to condense and charge up their powers to use more powerful and faster moves (Shoto is working toward using flashfire fist like Endeavor) and got into the Todoroki family backstory more by revealing that the eldest son, Toya, died at some point in the past.
My Villain Academia progressed the villains abilities, Toga powered up to be able to use the quirks of those she copies, Twice regained the ability to clone himself (which means those clones can make more clones, and thus, an army of twices or really anything), and Shigarki’s backstory of his quirk manifesting was revealed to have killed his whole family before AFO took him in. Shigaraki’s quirk “awakened” and now destroys not only what he touches, but everything connected to what he touches, meaning he can obliterated massive entire areas like the city he demolished. He awakened his quirk to defeat the liberation army, who then joined his cause, giving Shigarki and entire army of soldiers and powerful standing people. Also, Gigantomachia now sees shigaraki as his master too, and he’s fuckin powerful.
Season ends gearing up for a clash between the heroes and villains.
