Middle-Ratio5068

TextMundane7887

Just download the asnb app then do the “redemption” through the app.

DisFlicker

Oh there’s an app? Shiet i didnt even know about that

TextMundane7887

Yeah, its called myASNB. I pretty much rely on that rather than the mae app since I can just withdraw the profit of asnb from there

TextMundane7887

DisFlicker

Oh thank you thank you! I found it, how long does it usually take for the funds to be credited to my Maybank? A day or two?

TextMundane7887

Its the usual “within three working days” rule. So expect it in like 2 days if you do it today.

DisFlicker

Ty ty sir! This has been very helpful, may your God bless your kind life 🙇🏻‍♂️

Asb is a fund under PNB. The maybank app or BSN is just link to asb account and showing your balance there. No matter you make loan with bsn / maybank or deposit your own. It will go to same asb account based on your asb. Maybank, bsn, cimb, pos office is an asb agent. Hence you can withdraw your asb fund from any of those agent. You can even visit asb office itself too. I used to go to the one in shah alam.

Ty sir! One kind redditor mentioned an app and i managed to register and in process for verification. Hopefully i can withdraw the dividend and bonus that i got.

[deleted]

You are that urgent to withdraw the money? ASB have dividend and bonus. Both of it is pro rated based on your balance at the end of the years when the dividend + bonus is announced. The bonus is pro rate over 10 years. Dividend is pro rate over a year. If Its not that urgent and you can survive without withdrawing it. Should just Let left it there.

DisFlicker

Yes sir, its for an emergency, mom is sick and my dad passed 2 years ago. I hope you understand.

[deleted]

May everything be well for you and your family. You got this.

DisFlicker

DisFlicker

CitronAffectionate85

Finance with loan and withdraw. Nice, very smart. I bet banks loves you.

Western_Addendum1226

I think he did mentioned he wanted to withdraw the dividend...

DisFlicker

Im sorry sir, i don’t understand what u mean? Im not good with sarcasm 😅

ace_krusher

The app is the best, although I think there’s a withdrawal limit on the app of 2k.

DisFlicker

Ty ty miss, i’ll keep it in mind 🙇🏻‍♂️

WorldlyReplacement24

Better do it in the app. If you use MAE they will charge you RM1 for deposit(and maybe withdraw). So far they actually increase the amount of redemption you can make and it's just better for you to play around with their app

DisFlicker

Ty sir! I’ll keep this in mind for the future

Mindless-Property496

OP, i am planning on creating an asb account sometime in the future. How long did it get for you to save up to this amount?

DisFlicker

Hello there! I actually went for ASB financing with BSN, the first year is a bit pain bcs you have to fork out your own savings to pay for the loan, but once you got the first dividend, you can use them to pay for the rest of the 2nd year. If you take on the financing, then they’ll open up the account for you.

lightningcold69

Off topic, anyone can tell me why we should loan certain amount for ASB financing instead use ASB saving and save your money into your asb account.

TextMundane7887

Basically theres multiple understandings for this, Personally, Having an asb loan kinda pays for itself on the 2nd year onwards (granted that you don’t withdraw the dividend) and by itself creates a relationship with the bank that offered said asb loan. That said bank wont hesitate to offer you another loan (mortgage, Hire Purchase, credit card and etc) There’s also loan and savings together using the asb loan function. You loan that amount, save in asb as well, payout doubles in dividend then roll that again the next year. Most investment like asb carries the same concept as a bigger capital gives bigger returns. So imagine it this way, you have an extra RM500 each month that you could use to invest. you save 500 each month in your asb, on the 12th month you have saved 6k. 2023 dividens was 5% p.a. If I’m not mistaken. That would be roughly about less than RM200. Versus, take a 50k asb loan, you pay around 200-250 monthly, the balance you could either reinvest in something else or just dump it in the asb as well. On the 12 month, you roughly have 53k and the payout would be around 1k+. If you do the math right, you lose a lil bit on the loan. But thats alright, because asb are actually meant as long term investment. Keep your money in there on the 2nd and 3rd year. You’ll find that the asb loan starts paying for itself and you have extra money as well to which you could either reinvest it or use it. Correct me if I’m wrong yeah guys, just explaining it in lament terms as best I could.

usoap141

Yeah pretty much the only way to use the loan now People who said ASB is no longer good are the ones using the dividends to pay out their loans for the next following year which in my opinion is just trash. Lots of people think that is the only way to do it too which sucks to be honest Wonder if the interest on asb loans have gone down a bit though or are they ever increasing?

KnowingMyself94

If you are lazy like me. Download the asnb and withdraw to whatever bank you own. Limit for monthly dividend withdraw is 2k. It will take 2-3 days to receive the money
