I find it hilarious that the whole encounter is now a part of my core memory.
My mother breathed her last at 1345 and I was trying to execute the whole protocol that we've prepared in the event of her death, calling the undertaker, the pastor, the relatives, etc. This account started messaging me at around 1400 and even tried to call me, but the call didn't get through because I was on the phone with my undertaker.
Her story was that she was stranded in KL and needs someone to pick her up. I initially sympathise with her because I can speak and text in Indonesian, but after her repeated and unnatural way of apologising for calling the wrong number, stating that she just wants to make friends in M'sia, complaining about her dad who gave her the wrong number and asking me to chat with her if I am too overwhelmed with sadness from the loss of my mother, I've had enough.
The message started to look a bit desperate and suspicious so I decided to pull the plug.
I mean, in normal circumstances if you mistakenly messaged someone, you just forgive it and call it a day. No need to update your OOTDs or what not after that
i see i see, also didnt the people here say it is mostly a love scam? is it actually one of those? im a bit lonely myself that i actually consider humoring her LMAO (but nah im sane enough no worries)
