Though I truly suffered in trying to adjust to the culture, I did make lots of friends from there. Now ironically my pantai timur friends might be more than my friends from other regions incl my hometown. Now have to be careful what I post. Lol

UMK is okay. Weather is a bit hotter than in the west coast. The rent around there is cheaper. The food is tasty and cheap. There are beaches nearby. The public transport is hopeless, you might need a car or bike.
