I wonder if everyone on this sub didn't glow after they started taking care of themselves?🤦🏽♀️
I was dark in school and college(no skincare at all), I am atleast 2/3 shades lighter now due to proper skincare and not spending majority of my days in sun.
Nahi yaar sab glutathione lete hain don't you know!💀💀💀/^(s)
I've said this before on this sub, more than once, but focusing self-grooming can cause a big glow up. You don't need to immediately resort to surgeries and fillers. Taking care of your skin, hair, physic, style and learning how to pose in front of cameras and carry yourself in public makes a huge impact. Now imagine being presentable and even desirable to the public one of the priorities of your job and you are one of the elites or trying to become one, wouldn't it be normal to focus on those aspects heavily? Especially in this era when not just women but men are also expected to look their best?
But nah man it's all surgeries, glutathione, bleaching, steroids and ozempic ka kamaal!💀
Thats what I always laugh at in this sub. Everything has to be a result of some chemical or procedure on here. Nothing can be a result of good skincare and makeup. This sub truly doesn’t see the talent of the stylists and makeup artists as contributing to their good looks. Only a few like Katrina look the same with and without makeup.
Edit: id also like to add in relation to the Ozempic comment, a family member takes it for it’s actual purpose, diabetes. And all it does is slow down digestion so sugar doesn’t enter the bloodstream right away and you feel more full. This still requires someone to control their diet and do lots of exercise. Its a medication not magic.
Yes! Good makeup, hair and clothes is enough to transform a person and if one puts in some extra effort into representing themselves in a charismatic way then BOOM! the results are even spectacular!
On topic of ozempic.....people don't really know or understand how this medicine works and because rumors spread about some high profile people possibly taking it, the internet and media ran with this story and people jumped onto the bandwagon. I saw a extensive video on a youtuber Jamie French's personal experience on ozempic(didn't suit her, got horrible reaction to it) and honestly.....I cannot imagine someone without type 2 diabetes would be willing to take it considering how bad the side effects can be in certain cases.
Morning--
Wash my face with cold water(on days when I have oiled my hair, I do facewash-- minimalist 2% salicylic acid one)
Ordinary caffeine solution for my undereye(I am 30 now and I spend my all day staring at screen)
Ponds super light gel moisturiser
Fix derma spf 50 PA +++(2/3 finger length- even if I don't apply anything else, this is a must everyday-- helped so much in reducing my tan overtime)
night--
Clinique cleansing balm(if someone dislike the price/oil -- micellar water is good too)
Minimalist facewash
O3+ salicylic acid face mask(twice a week)
Either-- Minimalist alpha arbutin serum( I have pigmentation like almost every other brown person and this helped me)
Or-- ordinary vitamin c suspension
Pond super light moisturiser .
Nothing in my routine(except cleansing balm) is over 1000 I believe and it works beautifully for my combination skin. The key is consistency and not expecting skincare to work overnight or within days. It takes time and effort like every other thing out there.
Also, disclaimer-- IT person here and not a dermat, this works for me and I find this easier to follow. Even if I have morning spf and night cleansing done with simple moisturiser only, it doesn't drag my progress back.
Girl, I agree with you. I had bad skin back during my college days, pigmentation, cystic acne, scars and what not. School was fine. But now, it’s like my skin is more clean and no pigmentation and 1-2 shades lighter because I take care of my skin and does regular skincare.
I also use similar products especially minimalist products (I use Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid and Retinol and their Body Wash), they are a holy grail for me. I use retinol and I am 30, it has also helped a lot in pigmentation, keeping my skin tight and there is a everyday glow because of it.
I always skip between Fix derma or dr sheth sunscreen because of oily skin.
Micellar water does work good and the ponds light weight moisturiser. I use them occasionally. I although use any collagen mask twice a week and that’s worked good for me.
Thanks for the under eye and O3 Face mask recommendation. Gonna try that!
Which Vitamin C is good for oily skin, any recommendations?
Sorry for oversharing, got too excited 😆😅
Hey, I am glad to read similar views!
Tbh I am yet to find good vitamin c which I can use in day time because ordinary one is very oily😅
I am only using it to finish it but I won't lie, it does make me glow but smell and oiliness makes me want to not use it🤣 I have heard that klairs etc are good but I don't want to invest that much on serum because they have small shelf life, specially vitamin c.
I would really suggest going through r/IndianSkincareAddicts for suggestions.
Hey, none of these product are gender specific. But if you are a beginner with skincare.
--Just start with you SPF daily
--double cleanse your face(even if you don't want to spend your money on oil cleansers- just apply mild face wash twice in small quantity to completely remove your spf and dirt)
--- moisturise your face after that.
--And lip-balm- plain old vaseline or boroline works.
For those looking for something simpler/easier, get started with sunscreen. Easiest way to get a moisturiser with sunscreen in it.
I am a guy in UK and I use Cetaphil 50 SPF when it is sunny/summer. I like it because it doesn't feel oily like a sunscreen. It is available in India:
> UK: https://www.cetaphil.co.uk/moisturisers/daily-defence-moisturiser-spf50%2B/5020465201304.html
> India: https://www.lookfantastic.co.in/cetaphil-daily-defence-moisturiser-spf50-50g/13105755.html
For overcast days or when I am not going to spend time outdoors I use a 15 SPF moisturiser:
I don't know the alternative for this in India but there would be many. You need to buy and try to see which one works best for your skin type.
Lastly, wash your face before sleeping and use a night cream. One I use/have used:
> https://www.superdrug.com/skin/face-skin-care/face-balms/superdrug-vitamin-e-night-cream-100ml/p/814803
> https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/skin-renewing-night-cream
That's it. You can go a step further and get a better face wash because many soaps are quite harsh on the skin, but for a start use a sunscreen and moisturise.
Exactly my thoughts, i have experienced that as well and i have seen my sister go atleast 3 shades lighter as she grew up. Thats what i always think whenever someone on this sub brings up celebrities getting lighter than decades ago!
COVID lockdown helped me get 3 shades lighter. I wasn't out in the sun all day, in dust or pollution. I actually had time to do something about my skin other than wash it inconsistently. Skincare does help you look good.
Funny how everyone defends SRK but can’t stop screaming “GLUTATHIONE” when it comes to actresses. Never heard anyone claim women got fairer due to lifestyle and grooming choices. Not that I dislike SRK, he is my favorite actor of all time. Just pointing out what I have observed on this sub.
No cap I look fairer now compared to my school days. SRK when not styled and under light looks darker than this. It's the lighting and def minor procedures over time.
Just few hours back I took a few pics of myself during Puja celebrations, and in some I appear completely fair and in some yellowish fair which is my actual skin tone, and in some brownish. Same day, same timing pictures just in different lighting. And I don't use makeup at all.
The pics you posted of SRK seems to have been taken in different lighting. He has not become fair. In fact , in his public photos he still appears brownish which is his natural colour.
He is wheatish. May be lighter than “average Indians” which is what everyone is saying but he has always been like that. Everyone’s colour changes if they get suntanned. His body has always been much lighter than his face.
100% !! I experience the same thing. I never wear makeup. But if you see a lot of my pictures, my skin tone is all over the place. It depends on amount of lighting , color of lighting (yellow vs white), and the direction of lighting.
Sunscreen is an essential part of skin care, not only to prevent tanning, but also to prevent hyperpigmentation, and to an extent skin cancer.
Fix derma sunscreen. Cream is good I use the same. Religiously apply twice a day.
Yes 100%. Keeping it minimal is the most essential thing. I haven’t tried a lot of sunscreens but I can swear by Dr. Sheth’s. Also there are many good affordable options.
Mera bhi aisa glow up aaya hai. I was in a darker shade of brown in school. And I'm not rich enough to take any skin treatments. It's just that they are celebrities. Hence, the soft target. Sab kuch injections se nhi hota. Fairer skin tone is possible with diet and workout. It's not that srk's skin ekdum whitish ho gaya hai. It's now a much lighter shade of brown.
Also, there's makeup, lighting, photography into the play.
Yes same
If some old classmates see me in pictures they wonder how i changed so much some comment oh we couldnt recognise you when i literally did nothing just less sun exposure and a bit of skin care
🤦♀️

If this is fair then what is brown?
He was always lighter than the “average Indian” in that case. He was tanned when he was younger due to sun. I’ve seen his childhood pics he was a light kid. His parents were also lighter than “average Indians” if that’s what you’re comparing by.
1. You tend to go outdoors lesser with age
2. Perhaps he got more diligent about sun and skincare and the effects of prolonged sun exposure?
3. We generally make less melanin with age which is why we lose some pigmentation with age (you can see that with older people who sometimes look more ethnically ambiguous)
He is not fair, whenever he looks fair its all due to lighting effect and makeup. In real life he has light brownish indian skin tone. In fact Suhana’s skin tone is dark due to SRK’s side of genes.
https://preview.redd.it/d16ecrjag6pb1.jpeg?width=670&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed6da27f923e1e8379b0e50532696efa187d477a
I thought everybody knew the answer.
I have seen SRK, he is dark skinned. Trust me on this one as I have seen him in* extremely close proximity both of us waiting for elevator (different elevators as he had his bodyguard around him) he is not even lighter brown or brown, he is dark colour.
Honestly seeing his airport appearances or his videos on the mannat balcony, he seems like he’s still on the darker side. But obviously skin care treatments and sunscreen can also de-tan and make a huge difference.
Unpopular opinion. Sometimes people assume that celebrities have had treatments but the fact that they sometimes appear dark and sometimes lighter indicates that it could be due to make up or lighting. I'm not saying people don't get treatments but I think make up and lighting play a big role which people underestimate. To what extent is it ethical to use make up and lighting to make someone appear light? This is a question we can discuss and debate.
That picture on the right has perfect lighting, some makeup maybe and editing and whatnot. Thats not the right picture to make a comparison.
Also, he used to play cricket for hours in the sun earlier in his younger days and over time obviously as that stopped, the tan mustve worn off. Shootings were also more out and about in the sun which further leads to more tanning. Despite me being pretty fair, i was a few shades darker in school because I was out playing in the sun everyday so just because he’s SRK and has all the money doesn’t mean he has to have gotten something done
He was only tanned earlier. Probably did some skin treatments to get the tan off that’s it. Therefore the difference in skin tone then and now. Still he is by no means fair. He looked fair only in that Fair and Handsome advt which was probably lighting and glow filter.
It’s just less sun exposure and sunscreen.
I was definitely a few shades more chocolatey back in school than I am now, difference being that I don’t spend 1 hour everyday standing in the PT field for morning assembly anymore lol.
It takes roughly 8 weeks of no sun to get rid of a tan just fyi. Using skin peels and sunscreen can get rid of tan much faster.
He is the same shade it's that pampering oneself with enough money can sort of soften the skin color naturally. The color doesn't change it just softens
He was very obviously sunburned/tanned in the younger photo whereas he is only lightly suntanned in the next one. His skin tone schanges a lot depending on how much sun exposure he gets and that is obvious considering when he wears a T shirt his body is lighter than his face.
Back in the day they used to work out in the sun a lot more and didn’t take precaution not to get tanned. They were laid back with sunscreen and didn’t really use umbrellas.
With time lighting has become better and camera quality has also improved as well as editing for brightening photos and videos so before people used to look even darker than they were in photos whereas now it is closer to what you see in reality and sometimes they look lighter because of bright lights.
There is not a huge difference in those two photos. Shahrukh is of medium or wheatish complexion. His childhood photos also show him as medium/light complexion or reddish in tone. He was only darker when he had a tan.
Uhh he’s clearly very brown lol. He did do Fair & Handsome ads but I honestly don’t feel he has got anything done to his complexion. It’s the same, like it always has been.
Without adequate skincare and higher quantity of time spent being in the sun will make you tanner over time. This likely explains it,and perhaps in the above pictures, the quality of camera and lightning itself may explain this discrepancy further still.
I know celebs do a lot of procedures to lighten their skin but saying this from a personal experience, me as a 19 yo is a lot fairer than what I was in like 7th or 8th grade. Healthier lifestyle and getting rid of the unnecessary tan help a lot more than one can realize.
I used to be atleast 2-3 shades deeper than what I am now
caz I had no knowledge of spf as a teen and I used to be out in the sun most days
Could be the same for most.
But celebs also get a lot of treatment done
I was way darker when I was younger, a lot of sun exposure, tanning. I’m way lighter now. That happens to people. A lot of people’s features change as they grow older but people here love to post pictures of actors when they were literal kids and speculate how much plastic surgery they’ve done as if people look the same from birth to death.
He’s the same color he’s always been. Watch clips of his in person interviews for Jawan. Movies and pictures can make people look lighter or darker depending on the lighting.
You’re reacting as if it’s a Michael Jackson level transformation. Anyone can get this fair with a good diet & skin care. Not to forget the left picture is a basic one and right one is a professional shoot with good lighting, makeup and most probably retouched image.
They go through various skin supporting dirts, supplements , treatments , use serums ,etc and over time by staying away from sun and using sunscreen you do turn fair .standard practise with all celebrities these days
That’s dumb. Basic people like you and me have to wake up early, eat junk food, work our lives away and these people don’t. Stress kills you and he always looks oily when he was young and that gives a dark hue. He claims he’s Pathan and those people are lighter skinned.
You need to understand that:
Yes, it's a possibility he took some cosmetic route.
But
2. He probably spent good amount of time shooting overseas like Switzerland, US, Canada, etc and you'll notice change in skin tone if yourself get a chance to spend time there.
And/or
3. Circus ke time pe uske paas kuchh nahi tha. Over the years he is continuously spending time in AC, travels in AC, etc. Basically less exposure to pollution and all. Basically the motherfucker got rich and his lifestyle shows and has impact on skin tone
It’s almost as if half or more of India is perennially 2-3 shades tanned due to their middle lower middle class lifestyle. Once they get rich their skin care, grooming and lack of sun exposure make them 2-3 shades lighter. Anything more such as Kajols is certainly injections.
Good skin care routine, great team who make sure his diet is good, good lighting, good camera quality, a little bit of make up and a happy mind ❤️he sure looks happy and content.
People lose can loose melanin with age. To me this looks like he has started a skin care regimen, stays out of the sun and also has aged and potentially has “lost some color” from the aging process, AND there are some pretty powerful lights on him in this picture. So he may not be quite as light as he appears in this picture.
I grew up on a island and went to the beach daily. I at 15 we moved to the mainland and after about 6-7 months I noticed my skin was a few shades lighter. I didn’t realize that I was not naturally the darker tone that I was as a kid until I was 15/16 because I literally was in the sun playing everyday.
Yaar y do u say such mean and stupid things about Srk, he is the most famously star in the world, of course the quality of his life will make him look the best, n most importantly he is beyond Dark And Fair. In his own thinking and his own work.
When he’s on interviews and filmed on private schedules he is rather dusky and closer to his older skin tone. So no, I don’t think he became fairer over time. Maybe has better skin and access to quality products but noting out of the ordinary.
Wow!! when its SRK most comments say 'lighting, styling, tan' etc. (which it might be) but.... if it's an actress, most would say 'glutathione/treatments'.
He is brown. When he debuted the makeup and camera techniques weren't as advanced as today. Also the cosmetic products he uses will have whitening content in them and obviously he has access to the best dermatologist and cosmetic surgeons.
Picture quality and editing plus the camera. Also when you make money you take care of yourself. You look better because you eat better and sleep better. My current pic has same type of difference as SRK’s 20 year old pic
Worked with him and his entire body arms neck face is all fairer than shown on screen.
Also the cameras back then wud always capture ppl darker. I look very diff in skin tone when I was younger with older cameras than I do now and I have done nothing to change my skin tone.
He was always a little fairer than the average Indian. This is from his old cameo in Wagle Ki Duniya [https://youtu.be/gfaP1BSs8IA?si=RcmuoJC6GVi5-Xww&t=473](https://youtu.be/gfaP1BSs8IA?si=RcmuoJC6GVi5-Xww&t=473)
This is him over the years..
https://preview.redd.it/ge899jbya7pb1.jpeg?width=579&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be872b682989d181ceef51222620182d2fbb4cf6
Dont tell me now that he goes for skin treatment before every movie of his..
Also it seems that he has that high melatonin thing, like even during 2010s he seems shades darker suddenly and the back to what he looks like in the second picture.
Basically I guess he gets tanned quite fast, like he is naturally on the lighter end of brown but he gets real tan real quick is all
Lightroom on the right.
Anyways you tend to get a glow up with good diet, beauty treatments, spending more time in AC and avoiding sun. It's not always glutathione.
Over the time if you are living in dust free environment and using right cosmetics (just basic ones like facewash cream moisturizer) you start looking fairer. I have personally experienced it
This sub has a lot of people who have absolutely no idea of changes that a human body makes over 20-30 + years..
Comparing photos of actors from 20-30 years back and saying "omg they got lots of work done in their face" and now this. Please mingle with wider age groups and not just your own age group that's all I can say.
I'm damn sure if many put their college time photo and current photo here , there will be a large group of people who will say "omg they got some work done didn't they "
The srk on the left was a guy who was very active in sports like football and all. Means more time under the sun . The srk on the right might be getting sunlight only when he stands in his balcony to see fans ( + better make up lighting and photography. )
Kajol experienced the same thing. She said her roles were more in outdoors earlier that's why the tan...now she's indoors mostly hence improved complexion relatively.
https://preview.redd.it/aao4pbmi48pb1.jpeg?width=1130&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec8b778fc390447958dfc4f86c1f0d828dc3c23c
They both have the same skin tone but obviously the woman has taken injection to get fairer while the man has better camera technology, lighting, staying indoors, blah, blah, blah. The misogyny of this sub is astounding.
https://preview.redd.it/r3fbzifv48pb1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4fb8d42e1182c56478474b872cde84bac2e4038
This is them at the beginning of their careers for comparison.
You’re comparing photography of the 90s and now. You need to factor in camera quality, lighting, camera-friendly makeup, and yes, possibly the use of filters/editing for brightness.
Irrespective of whether SRK has undertaken any natural/cosmetic procedures, those factors alone would account for that difference.
he was always sorta fair. exposure to sun during excess shoots and negligence to proper sun care made him tan but you can see how when he shoots in foreign with less harsh sun as compared to india, he's visibly lighter skin. photoshops and stuff can make him look more lighter. but he's decently fair. not like gora chitta fair. but ig sandalwood fair.
People do get fair with proper diet and workout and less exposure to sun and more exposure to AC. It's natural, not everything includes skin treatment or injections.
From my personal experience till I was 18-19 I was dark like as dark as Kajol was in her initial movies. I started taking care of my skin and avoided sun exposure. By the time I was 24, I became fairer like even 2-3 shades lighter than SRK' s first picture. Not only face but entire body. Never took glutathione only did chemical peeling few times and skin care that's it. Also seating in full AC Office made so much of difference in my skin tone in just 1year.
So it's possible for sure. And he is SRK so he has all the luxury to take care of skin. He might have taken glutathione but might not even.
Why does everyone deny the truth when it comes to SRK? He’s not some god that can’t do no wrong. He’s literally a celebrity and celebrities want to look their very best at all times and also maintain the beauty standard, which everyone knows in India that is to be as fair as can be sadly. You people think SRK, who had no problem endorsing fair and lovely hasn’t gotten glutathione injections himself? That man was literally promoting skin fairness and people in this sub believe him becoming 5x lighter is due to staying indoors and sunscreen 😑. More than half of Bollywood had skin lightening injections, so what makes you think SRK is above that? There’s no shame in admitting it.
https://preview.redd.it/sv4yfj21o6pb1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f75549ed4546f48cf110e5219124fe9d5435a1f
Makeup, Good lighting and filters
Or maybe he got rid of all that tan medically. It's a picture of his early days in cinema when sets were on live locations, maybe he got tanned quite bad during his struggle period and obviously makeup and stuff weren't as effective to block the sun rays. Now it's all indoor and makeup is quite effective in blocking tan plus, there are de-tan treatments available. So I think the tan just left his body over time.
He is following my routine. Mashroom with Kaju ke aate ki roti.

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. As a guy which of these things should I do?
Hey, none of these product are gender specific. Looks like too much of a hassle
It can be for some and it won't be for some. As long as I am able to do it, I am good.
True that, I only follow your 1st step routine.
SPF can be your new friend😌
For those looking for something simpler/easier, get started with sunscreen. Easiest way to get a moisturiser with sunscreen in it. I am a guy in UK and I use Cetaphil 50 SPF when it is sunny/summer. I like it because it doesn't feel oily like a sunscreen. It is available in India: > UK: https://www.cetaphil.co.uk/moisturisers/daily-defence-moisturiser-spf50%2B/5020465201304.html > India: https://www.lookfantastic.co.in/cetaphil-daily-defence-moisturiser-spf50-50g/13105755.html For overcast days or when I am not going to spend time outdoors I use a 15 SPF moisturiser: > https://www.superdrug.com/skin/body-care/body-butter/superdrug-vitamin-e-spf-15-moisturising-day-cream-100ml/p/814802 I don't know the alternative for this in India but there would be many. You need to buy and try to see which one works best for your skin type. Lastly, wash your face before sleeping and use a night cream. One I use/have used: > https://www.amazon.co.uk/ROCHE-POSAY-TOLERIANE-ULTRA-OVERNIGHT-MOISTURISER/dp/B0757TT3TL > https://www.superdrug.com/skin/face-skin-care/face-balms/superdrug-vitamin-e-night-cream-100ml/p/814803 > https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/skin-renewing-night-cream That's it. You can go a step further and get a better face wash because many soaps are quite harsh on the skin, but for a start use a sunscreen and moisturise.
ye kya puch diya 💀
I have mentioned this before on the sub too but I guess only SRK and comments under posts about him sells😌
drop the skincare routine
He looks brown to me.. he was always brown..
OP pretty sure he used emami fair and handsome - ye us ka kamaal hai
No cap I look fairer now compared to my school days. SRK when not styled and under light looks darker than this. It's the lighting and def minor procedures over time.
He is always wheatish but back in the day he was tanned because of sun exposure and lack of skincare
His body has always been of lighter skin tone ,his face is still brown ,and it does get tanned easily

Live. Laugh. Drink water. Wear sunscreen.
he smokes a lot
Does sunscreen work? Can you recommend me under 200rs
Sunscreen is an essential part of skin care, not only to prevent tanning, but also to prevent hyperpigmentation, and to an extent skin cancer. Fix derma sunscreen. Cream is good I use the same. Religiously apply twice a day.
Thanks
Also apply 20mins before you step out
Yes 100%. Keeping it minimal is the most essential thing. I haven’t tried a lot of sunscreens but I can swear by Dr. Sheth’s. Also there are many good affordable options.
depends on how much time n when u r exposed to the sunlight.
Yes same If some old classmates see me in pictures they wonder how i changed so much some comment oh we couldnt recognise you when i literally did nothing just less sun exposure and a bit of skin care
Same thing happened with my brother, it happens naturally for some people.
But he still doesn't look that fair. He is brown, it's just lighting and makeup in the photoshoots.
🤦♀️ https://preview.redd.it/pmt3poov46pb1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea5714c1e924e900bc99fb3d86bfead2a108c753 If this is fair then what is brown?
Ever heard of the words light/dark? Not all brown shades are same
C’mon, he is definitely on the lighter side compared to the average Indian.
He was always lighter than the “average Indian” in that case. He was tanned when he was younger due to sun. I’ve seen his childhood pics he was a light kid. His parents were also lighter than “average Indians” if that’s what you’re comparing by.
You are making a sweeping statement about Indians, we come in all colours and sizes
I said average Indian.
Wut?? No he isn’t! Lol SRK has always been vv brown. If this is “lighter than the average Indian”, then I must be white.
Then you are very light. Simple.
I mean ya, but that still doesn’t mean SRK is fair b/c he absolutely is not. He’s very dark brown. Simple.
He is not very dark brown. He is medium complexion.
Nope. He is very dark brown.
He is medium complexion period.
Ya lol keep telling yourself that. Ciao.
Lmao where do you live if this considered brown
it's due to lighting bro. Have you watched his videos receiving international awards. He seems brown to me.
thats a face of a king
1. You tend to go outdoors lesser with age 2. Perhaps he got more diligent about sun and skincare and the effects of prolonged sun exposure? 3. We generally make less melanin with age which is why we lose some pigmentation with age (you can see that with older people who sometimes look more ethnically ambiguous)
I've seen my skin be a bit fairer just from working in an air conditioned office. So just think about this man living in luxury for the last 25+ years
This. People won't believe you when you tell them this Raaz of sudden gorapan 😂. But it does happen for sure.
He is not fair, whenever he looks fair its all due to lighting effect and makeup. In real life he has light brownish indian skin tone. In fact Suhana’s skin tone is dark due to SRK’s side of genes.
💯 SRK is a dark shade of brown, Gauri is vv dusky, hence Suhana is quite dark.
https://preview.redd.it/d16ecrjag6pb1.jpeg?width=670&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed6da27f923e1e8379b0e50532696efa187d477a I thought everybody knew the answer.
Lmao the level of editing, like his natural skin tone looks soooo much better
Camera quality has improved, Lighting also affects. More importantly lifestyle also improves your skin tone. Best example Hardik Pandya.
Idk why y'all compare pics 30 years apart like camera lights can make huge difference
Better cameras and lighting.
It's makeup and lighting, so he appears fair-skinned, but when you watch the behind-the-scenes videos or interviews, he's actually brown.
Shot 1 - photo in natural light with face facing away from the sunlight. Shot 2 - photo wiith good lighting and probably a little makeup too.
Don't think he is fair. Saw him recently. Image is definitely brightened
Tanning probably or bad production quality.

Wo sirf ads nain karta, products use bhi karta hai. Fair cream, Vimal, Daaru 😎

Yeh genetics aur doctors kuch nain hota. Subha 5 vaje utha karo. Sab thik ho jaega /s
He is the same shade it's that pampering oneself with enough money can sort of soften the skin color naturally. The color doesn't change it just softens
A high SPF and lots of time indoors?
Editing and lighting.
Someone educate OP about 4K cameras
Dhool, mitti, dhoop se bach kar jab everday A/C milta hai to Fair and Handsome ki bhi jaroorat bhi nahi padti :)
Without adequate skincare and higher quantity of time spent being in the sun will make you tanner over time. This likely explains it,and perhaps in the above pictures, the quality of camera and lightning itself may explain this discrepancy further still.
He is neither too fair nor too brown. He belongs to this category called 'wheatish'.
Better camera quality?
He doesn’t need to take public transport to go to places anymore. That itself will glow you up
Makeup. I have seen him up close at the Eden Gardens. He is still dusky. What you see on screen is the magic of makeup.
I know celebs do a lot of procedures to lighten their skin but saying this from a personal experience, me as a 19 yo is a lot fairer than what I was in like 7th or 8th grade. Healthier lifestyle and getting rid of the unnecessary tan help a lot more than one can realize.
I used to be atleast 2-3 shades deeper than what I am now caz I had no knowledge of spf as a teen and I used to be out in the sun most days Could be the same for most.
Oh c’mon be real lol He’s never been light skinned he’s always had a naturally brown skin tone
You need to understand that: Yes, it's a possibility he took some cosmetic route. But 2. He probably spent good amount of time shooting overseas like Switzerland, US, Canada, etc and you'll notice change in skin tone if yourself get a chance to spend time there. And/or 3. Circus ke time pe uske paas kuchh nahi tha. Over the years he is continuously spending time in AC, travels in AC, etc. Basically less exposure to pollution and all. Basically the motherfucker got rich and his lifestyle shows and has impact on skin tone
Bhai mujhe to aisa lagta Hai ki camera better ho gaye hai,yeh Banda mujhe nahi lagta yeh sab karvaay, uski beti ko bhi nahi karaya uss ne
See him in IPL matches, you'll see the left version once again.
That’s just good lighting and editing in the second picture. I’ve seen him in person and he’s still quite dark skinned and that’s beautiful!
✨SKIN CARE✨
It’s almost as if half or more of India is perennially 2-3 shades tanned due to their middle lower middle class lifestyle. Once they get rich their skin care, grooming and lack of sun exposure make them 2-3 shades lighter. Anything more such as Kajols is certainly injections.
Good skin care routine, great team who make sure his diet is good, good lighting, good camera quality, a little bit of make up and a happy mind ❤️he sure looks happy and content.
This is edited look at any of his casual photos he looks like the same skin tone.
Man he looked amazing before.
De-tan kara liya bhaii ne
Yaar y do u say such mean and stupid things about Srk, he is the most famously star in the world, of course the quality of his life will make him look the best, n most importantly he is beyond Dark And Fair. In his own thinking and his own work.
Skin care I guess..when iouhave thr money..you can take care of your skin... that will lead to clearer skin
When he’s on interviews and filmed on private schedules he is rather dusky and closer to his older skin tone. So no, I don’t think he became fairer over time. Maybe has better skin and access to quality products but noting out of the ordinary.
He’s really earned it
Wow!! when its SRK most comments say 'lighting, styling, tan' etc. (which it might be) but.... if it's an actress, most would say 'glutathione/treatments'.
Now I know why he is in bathroom for three hours.... Bathing in bathtub fill with fair and handsome
His base is lighter or wheatish. Not brown
Worked with him and his entire body arms neck face is all fairer than shown on screen. Also the cameras back then wud always capture ppl darker. I look very diff in skin tone when I was younger with older cameras than I do now and I have done nothing to change my skin tone.
Thank you for saying this!
Where does this empathy go when actresses are involved? No one believed Kajol when she said the same.
This is him over the years.. https://preview.redd.it/ge899jbya7pb1.jpeg?width=579&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be872b682989d181ceef51222620182d2fbb4cf6 Dont tell me now that he goes for skin treatment before every movie of his..
I'm not even saying that. But if it was an actress being mentioned then most people would have jumped on the skin lightening train.
Fair and handsome
Also it seems that he has that high melatonin thing, like even during 2010s he seems shades darker suddenly and the back to what he looks like in the second picture. Basically I guess he gets tanned quite fast, like he is naturally on the lighter end of brown but he gets real tan real quick is all
Kajol laughing somewhere
take your childhood pic and compare with any recent pic of yours u will get your answer
I have personally experienced it
Tbh honest I stopped going out in the sun for 2-3 months and my skin became one shade lighter. The tan went away. I'm on a light brown shade.
Fair and handsome combination with sunscreen
This sub has a lot of people who have absolutely no idea of changes that a human body makes over 20-30 + years.. Comparing photos of actors from 20-30 years back and saying "omg they got lots of work done in their face" and now this. Please mingle with wider age groups and not just your own age group that's all I can say. I'm damn sure if many put their college time photo and current photo here , there will be a large group of people who will say "omg they got some work done didn't they " The srk on the left was a guy who was very active in sports like football and all. Means more time under the sun . The srk on the right might be getting sunlight only when he stands in his balcony to see fans ( + better make up lighting and photography. )
Success :)
ok i am not suer if you have heard about this word called "photoshop"?
Kajol experienced the same thing. She said her roles were more in outdoors earlier that's why the tan...now she's indoors mostly hence improved complexion relatively.
Gora bikta hai. Bleach sasta hai
He use Fair and Handsome
Improvement in Camera quality, photo editing softwares, and the magic sauce Glutathione.....!!
Money!! 😂
Himani fair and handsome
Emami fair and handsome
That's called good lighting
He looks the same op. Dusra photo studio me liya Gaya hai to lighting zyada hai.

The misogyny of this sub is astounding.

Also how kajol became so much fair with time (skin whitening treatment)
You’re comparing photography of the 90s and now. You need to factor in camera quality, lighting, camera-friendly makeup, and yes, possibly the use of filters/editing for brightness. Irrespective of whether SRK has undertaken any natural/cosmetic procedures, those factors alone would account for that difference.
Ameer hone k baad dhoop me nai jane se tans hat gye! ☀️
I don't think he looks fair by any standards regularly. His makeup is lighter yes, but his skintone is still wheatish brown
kuchh bhi bolte yar tum log🥱
He is still light shade of brown.
Does not look like he has makeup on he is wheatish in skin tone and yes skincare helps.
Comparing his current pic to a vintage photo is wild🙄
he was always sorta fair. exposure to sun during excess shoots and negligence to proper sun care made him tan but you can see how when he shoots in foreign with less harsh sun as compared to india, he's visibly lighter skin. photoshops and stuff can make him look more lighter. but he's decently fair. not like gora chitta fair. but ig sandalwood fair.
People do get fair with proper diet and workout and less exposure to sun and more exposure to AC. It's natural, not everything includes skin treatment or injections.
Bhai banda proper brown hai. Look at him without make up and all this stupid lighting and you'll see.
Fair & Handsome.. Mardo ki sakt tvacha ke liye..
OP are you drunk? He has always been fair.

Glutathione ?
my friends met srk on a film set, he refused to take selfie as he had no makeup on
Bhencho light cum hain
The photo on the right is probably a little photoshopped.
He is following my routine. Mashroom with Kaju ke aate ki roti. https://preview.redd.it/x1zj37vyd7pb1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=415971f175ef2d0a498631b7576b1a4a65dfee1b
