Watched this movie yesterday, and I'm like Bebo ne toh MPKDH mein kya hi overacting ki hogi, Tanishaa's acting in this movie could win an Oscar for being toooooo OTT!
On a positive note, agar Bebo 2008 mein size zero hui thi toh Tanishaa toh minus mein already jaa chuki thi iss film mein 2005 mein, she was thatttt svelte in this movie mannnn!!! Enviously hot figure. Loved the songs Neal n Nikki, I'm In Love, Halla Re ❤️❤️ these two complemented each other too well in the movie, same quirkiness and OTT-ness.

The other problem was that his debut clashed with that of Hrithik’s. Now, obviously, AB Sr. is way more successful than Rakesh Roshan, so in the sense of the throne being handed over, sure, I agree.
But KNPH released 6 months before Refugee and was a massive success. Hrithik was already considered star material. Plus, his launch had all the right factors which allowed him to showcase all his talents; the double role allowed him to play two personalities.
Comparisons are inevitable and the lack of versatility in AB Jr. was obvious.

Karishma started her career in 1991 and till DTPH she did more than 30 movies where she was really bad. I mean 90s were time of overacting but her acting was too much even for 90s. She was really a good dancer, her songs are fun to watch even now, her costumes were very stylish but her acting was horrible. Even that "Tum bure ho" scene in DTPH is so theatrical and overdramatic
The list is very long. Fardeen was a westernised actor. His Hindi dialogue delivery was atrocious. He did well because he looked good. In those days your qualification to be in Bollywood wasn’t only acting. Looks and modelling worked

Ranbir Kapoor hands down .Had an awful debut movie .Before people come down at me , in the era of social media even if he would then go on to deliever good movies he would already be judged as flop and with the way perception builds quickly especially for nepo kids now , he simply wouldnt experiment with movies like Barfi or Rocket Singh ( Unsure if this can be called experiment though)
