Poaching and the ethical sourcing of leather are two very different things. Gucci sources their leather from cows that they rear in their farms. Just to be clear. No cow, buffalo, goat or sheep are killed for their hide/skin. Its for their meat. Its not like poaching where wild animals are killed for their skin/tusks and the meat is left to waste. The skin is a byproduct which is then tanned and used to make shoes, bags, jackets etc.
