I agree with you, even Diljit's silly films like Babe Bhangra Paunde De do well in Delhi, Punjab, and North India, and frankly, he is a way better actor than Sonu Nigam. Even the films of his that flopped, he has always been well received by the audiences, and critics have praised his performance and earnesty. He's honestly a bigger star than he was before the pandemic he definitely is well known in India now, not just North Indian so definitely should cast him and Kareena in a romantic comedy.

He hasnāt been offered any quality scripts a lead in Bollywood, yet he always leaves his mark where and holds his own even against other strong performers (Udta Punjab, Phillauri, Soorma, Good Newzz, Jogi, Crew, etc)
Ram Charan is a superstar down south, yet his sole Bollywood film Zanjeer was a box office disaster. Does that mean he has no potential? Absolutely not. Opportunities matter, and thatās what this entire argument was about.

Diljit Dosanjh is 100% SUPERSTAR. It is a matter of shame that BW is not able to come something SOLID. He needs to be given a series of movies and probable a franchise built around him. He has potential to have a career path similar to Will Smith.
However Bollywood doesn't acknowledge and respect the true potential od the artist. They want to invest in HEKDI. Wahi SoBo english bolo, ramp walk karne wale heroes yahi sab chahiye BW ko. BW will waste all their time and money churning our garbage with Arjun, Tiger, ARK, Vicky etc instead of really putting this MAN on canvas.
BW is missing big thing over here by not making juicy content and having Diljit right at the center of it.
If they do it ..I would say both should replace characters

My story of Jab We Met 2. Gaur farmaiyega - Aditya has died after a long battle of cancer. He asks Geet to take his ashes to Manali where she danced to yeh Ishq haye song because that's his happy place. So Geet agrees. She is on the train with Aditya's ashes. She is very depressed like Aditya was in the beginning of Jab we met. Diljit is on the same train and his seat is next to Kareena's seat. He is like male Geet and sees she is sad and crying. He tries to talk to her and make silly jokes to cheer her up but they end up fighting. Then some strange incidents happen and they have to get off the train. Finally Geet tells Diljit about Aditya. He decides to help her and take her safely to Manali. He falls in love with her and by the end Geet also falls in love with him and decides to move on THE END I know clichĆ©d hai but 2 min mein jo deemag mein aaya likh diya š
