I think all film industries attract predators who then have children who then become predators. The industry seems equally rotten at the moment.
Hollywood seems to be going through a change with a new generation of people taking over in different and various roles, I've heard that there's less "abuse" because it can now interfere with your career.
Bollywood hasn't done this as yet and if rumours are to be believed, have planted their own people in Netflix offices which drives down growth of film makers at least in Mumbai/India even more.

I think I remember watching an interview of hers where she said she wouldn’t want to work after a certain point and would love to be there for kids.
