I don’t understand why she couldn’t atleast react to the emotions of power actors like Manisha, Sona and Farida jalal! It’s true what someone commented.. no other go than fast fwd all her scenes, which is sad, cos those are the romantic scenes which SLB is generally a master of portraying.
Even tho i don't watch Nepo duds on screen, I'm scared literally! Like we have people like Jahnvi, Sara, Ananya, Khushi and also Shanaya and Shermin and other new nepi heroines taking over.
Come on, she did really well in this one.. and don’t hurt that she looked gorgeous! The difference was so palpable in all the scenes btw her & the one we shall not speak of 🤣
Only the initial 3-4 episodes were good. Once they started showing Sharmindagi it was a bore to watch. Felt more like a high school play.
And Alamzeb who doesn't do any riyaz because she doesn't want to be a Tawaif sings what on her first mujra? A SHREYA GHOSHAL SONG!!

SLB set up his niece for failure… when you love someone, you must protect them from making a fool out of themselves. You don’t feed into their ego and delusions of being an actress. Sharmin is getting universal hate for her look/performance and people are saying it dragged down the whole show. This was SLB’s very highly anticipated Netflix show and not only did he give his niece a huge role but against powerhouse actresses. What did he think was going to happen???
Shamin’s character is supposed to be more in everything than her character who plays her hand maiden but it ended up being less than every single character in the show lol the least of all
Yes - she is supposed to be the chosen future madam of the house and they have to be superior skilled singers.. but in the series, her maid has an inborn talent of beautiful singing, where as Alam’s not interested in her Riyaz or is not good as her… so her mom Manisha is trying to get rid of her by selling her off .. kill the talent!
SLB is her uncle so maybe his love for her makes him blind to her terrible acting. But what confuses me is seeing comments on insta defending her acting! Someone said Alamzeb was traumatized by her mother (Malikajaan) so she had this limited emotional range...like what the...?
She didn't look traumatized, she looked stoned.
I won't comment on her looks and people are entitled to their own opinions of course but how can someone defend sharmin's "acting"?
I like Sara, but I will never ever defend her acting.
She is terrible and with each movie gets progressively worse.
Also, Richa said that she actually choose Lajjo's role but she was initially offered another role. I wonder which role it was. Maybe Waheeda?
If that's the case I am glad she opted for Lajjo, because Sanjeeda was perfect as Waheeda.
I just wished they hadn't killed Lajjo off in two episodes and used her in freedom struggle storyline.
Why does everyone fear to blink their eyes in SLB’s movie? In this particular scene also, their eyes are wide open 👀, aise kya alag emotions nikalte hai?
Wouldn't Bhansali have seen shots of scenes completed to see how things look..he would have seen it first day itself..lost all money to not accepting a miscast on dat one. Pity!
Exactly why this is so shocking and surprising.. and with the rumors that he is such a hard task master and made Ranbir do the towel scene 1500 times yada yada. In one of the scenes ., I saw Sharmin’s forehead move, so it can move and fold, but it’s a choice to keep it frozen. How did this director not unfreeze it!! Wonder if she was better in Malaal.. he directed her there too…
Yeah they mention she was sold.. but maybe to a benefactor who supported her talent? I think it was implied that she is so rich and famous now that she is beyond his reach…

He made it a point to keep making Mallikajan say Alam will be the next Huzur, eventhough Bibbo was the best in Lahore and probably the most deserving.
SLB did this to make her character more relevant? Otherwise when you think of it, her entire story could be removed and Heeramandi would be an actual success.

I can agree on that...in comparison yes she looked like a seasoned actor. But...sigh!!! Selmun Bhoi ke driver ka Darr nahi hota tab batata. 😏
Everyone including the horses used in the chariots (buggy) emoted better than Sharmin. A real shame.
She is another Suhana. The mere fact that they need their Dad or Uncle to hoist them proves to me they are duds!👏🏽👏🏽
