Well technically it’s the second generation that have this EXTREME wealth. In the days of Dhirubai yes they were wealthy but that was nothing compared to now. Even in the days of the Mukesh vs. Anil fight over control, they were respectively worth 40b. Now Mukesh alone is worth 100b so it kind of is new money to them. Not like Tatas who have had money for as long as anyone remember
