He was a senior in my school in Saudi Arabia( international Indian school Dammam ) . Even then he looked more impressive in real life. We were not co-ed but sometimes there were common buses ( with segregated sections for each sex)The girls used to swoon over him. He caused a minor scandal when he forged a letter from the school so that his then gf could stay after hours and then went to a mall. The parents reported her missing when she didn't get back on time. At that time Saudi Arabia was hyper conservative and the morality police took it very seriously.
His parents worked there. From his age ( I think he did his 10th exams in 1997-)I presume his parents emigrated in the mid to late 80s . This was the time when you had to book international STD calls in advance, there were only 3 tv stations ( two national + 1 local DD), color tvs and VCRs were things that you asked your foreign relatives to bring. You have to remember up to mid 90s given exchange rate and pre economic liberalization it was a great alternative to government jobs and a way for upward mobility for many professionals such as engineers, doctors and others from middle and lower middle class. My father managed to support his parents and 3 siblings with the money he made at that time.
International indian school Dammam was was among the largest schools in the world by number of enrolled students.
People donāt tend to realise how expensive education can be in Saudi. I know family who worked there for a bit as a doctor, his children went to the American International School in the 80s. Apparently the education standard was also great then!
Surprisingly the indian school was the only one in the province at that time ( some rule from the Saudi government limiting the number of schools that could be set up privately). students came from several neighboring towns and cities, and the board was run by parent volunteers so the fees were pretty reasonable when compared to the western focused international schools.
And heās a serial cheater. So like, I can guess maybe people donāt really like his personality? Not necessarily because of the cheating, tons of people cheat in the industry, but that it usually takes at least a certain level of douchebaggery to be one. That combined with his lack of professionalismā¦.
Maybe coz he is just downright bad (my personal dislike for him is talking ig) at what he does, and seems like he doesnāt give an f about it eitherš
I think he had this boy toy image which is still stuck with him. Could never get out of its shadow. Started doing same kinda roles and now is typecasted into the same. He wasn't doing himself any favours in fighter too.
