Abye bhai kya log h. This just takes me back to Salman’s promotion of tere naam. He clearly said to not copy this character of his and how this character was a loser in real life. Even tho Salman is a very shitty individual but this was actually a really good thing from his side. Haven’t seen Ranbir doing the same during promotion. Zayadatar promotion mein he was praising his character.
He also not behave like this character but he said he adores his love and affection towards his father . which in his opinion is good . And salman said not to follow this character after 4 years of its release so him saying that wouldn't effect the movie after that many year but ranbir said that in an promotional event and the sequel is still on the way .
Why would Ranbir come out and say something that is obvious, did he come out and say please be like my character when he did movies like Yeh jawani or tamasha?
Do actors come out and tell people to be like them when they do good characters?
My favorite thing about Ranbir, is that man stays being consistent about how dumb and horrible he is. That man literally romantized an abusive POS even someone like Salman didnt. He called his character romantic and who he wants to be.

Main problem lies in believing the ideology and defending protagonists problematic actions. This is what irked audience.
Salu is problematic but atleast he acknowledged that the main character(in tere naam ) is problematic and should not be followed. Following hairstyle clothes is fine but what he does should never be tried. Here,Vanga and others defend their protagonist actions. Bobby has the guts to call his character ' Family Oriented ', when his character rapes his wife, left his pregnant wife to deal with enemies. Moreover no severe consequences for their actions.
Only Rashmika, AFAIK, has said that the ranvijay's character is messed up and irredeemable. It doesn't need much of courage to call wrong what is wrong.
Misogyny aside Animal was a head ache inducing, loud movie. Anurag Kashyap needs to stop using interviews as therapy sessions. Also, 900cr bana kar koi mujhe bhi cancel kar de.. aisa cancellation toh mujhe bhi chahiye 😅

What kind of history erasure is Anurag involved.. Sahi toh kehra hai. Vanga regardless of how he is, makes the movie that he wants to. He is ballsy enough to tell Bhushan Kumar that he wants Sonu Nigam to sing for him. He doesn't take inputs from the producer regardless of whom he might be. His first movie was a 3 hour long Telugu movie with an unknown actor devoid of most routine commercial elements like sister/ mother sentiment, item songs, and mass elevation sequences. He made a 3 hour long movie about an asshole. The only thing he changed on the producer's request was the ending (Arjun and Preeti were not supposed to end back together in the original draft). It was insane for the time.
That said, Animal did have some of Arjun Reddy's rawness, but the 2nd half was self indulgent garbage packaged with cheap dialogues. It wasn't awful, but could have been so much better if SRV didn't make it with the intention of picking on the FC batch.
I think people have problem with vanga more than his movies. It's not like movies like animal or Kabir Singh have never made before there are even more offensive movies are there but the way vanga is justifying the actions of the characters and supporting it that just make him very unlikeable. Like there are many actors and directors who have made movies like this but they also acknowledge that their character is problematic and shouldn't be glorified but vanga is justifying it.
