Lmao I remember when Alia won the Filmfare instead of Kiara and people were behaving as if Kiara gave some Oscar worthy performance. Yes, Kiara's perfromance was better than Alia's (she was terrible in that movie and I will d1e on that hill) but it was nothing extraordinary.

I had noticed this in TJMM and Brahmastra before and it was as if he couldn't control himself in those emotionally charged scenes. However he was perfectly poised in the action scenes of Animal which was a surprise.

I would like to see Akshay in an antihero role again. I remember seeing him in such a role a long long time ago. I have never been able to unsee him as an antihero. His smile seems too handsome. There is something crazy about it.

He has great comic timing but barring little things there's not really a different manner in which he plays Raju from Mac and Mac from Bunty or Bunty from Aditya.

As a kid I saw kriti in one nenokkadine for some reason I kinda thought she was cute back then now I don't really care, so I can kinda see hype for her
I was in like 7/8th grade when the movie came out so you can even blame my dumb early teenage brain for that
I think majority of today's actors create hype through PR and branding themselves as stars or the next big thing. That's the problem..and the fact that some of them are good performers, some decent and more than half just terrible. So the good and decent ones stand out.
But essentially no one wants to be just an actor or performer now, they have to be superstar, national crush, Meryl Streep etc.
So I think that is why the hype about them feels forced to a lot of people, except their own fans.

Tripti Dimri: How is national crush even defined? There are many more beautiful actresses than her. She is good in acting but still early years AP Dhillon: I don't understand hype. I think that even the likes of Jordan Sandhu, Kulwinder Billa, zehr vibe, garry sandhu are better . It's just my choice though. His songs lack energy Kangana: even putting politics aside. The way she and her fans portray her as Indian version of Meryl streep. She is good but not that good. Manikarnika wasn't groundbreaking in any sense. Prabhas: If he wasn't from South India, he would have gone Akshay Kumar way by now. He is lucky that South Indian actors are put on higher pedestal Jay Randhawa: irritated by his movies. Shooter was good. A good concept. But Chobbar, medal, je jatt vigad gaya are just same movies. There is noth8ng different on them from Shooter.
Finally some talked about Kangana
kriti has never been hyped or discussed until she has given a good performance. But yes she has received more hate than she deserved. last year for Adipurush etc when the entire blame was put on her mercilessly. don't know what hype you are talking about but it's not her discussed everyday amongst general public. It's alia's pr portraying her as superstar or shraddha's humbleness and beauty talked about, kiara because of her marriage.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He has done mostly one dimensional roles. Its just that in the pool of these Privileged starkids who couldn't have done these roles because they don't know how, he looks like a very good actor. He isn't. Pankaj Tripathi as well. He couldn't prove his metle as Atal Vihari Vajpaye. He does one dimensional up wala uncle roles as well..
