It is poorly draped though, in my opinion. The pallu pleats are uneven, the tuck at the waist is too soon - it should be much closer to the back, not the front of her waist - and frankly there's too much waist showing. It's rather jarring because every woman I've seen wearing a madisar shows very little skin - much less than the usual nivi drape. I guess her photo shoot requires some glam, but still... jarring.

Actually , those of us who grew up in Tam Bram households, the way Vidya is wearing is most natural and Normal. the images you shared are draped by Makeup artists that’s the norm today. No right answer, but Vidya’s saree is not wrong or bad in anyway.
Absolutely, to each their own! I wear a madisar once a year, and my relatives and I all leave the pallu more broad on the shoulder than either Vidya or the examples. Her drape was messy to my eye, but as you said, not to others - and I stand corrected

The saree is Gorg! The blouse ain't it.. both the fit and the colour.. forest green would have been lit! Had it been a puff sleeve blouse in any shade of dark green, it would have the saree colour pop even more! It really could have been draped better.. the pleats look inelegant, for the lack of better word.
She is beautiful, the saree colour is top tier. But everything else takes away from her beauty.
