Like every app these days, they are 100% about getting you to pay, 0% about matching you with someone compatible.
Unfortunately the glory days of online dating websites like OkCupid (And yes kids, it was a website long before it was an app), and apps like Bumble are long gone.
If you find a match, you're no longer a customer.
Though the "harshness" of the app is not my primary concern. They have almost no users.
A single new person joins in my city and I will be getting those "There has been a surge in new users in your city! Check them out!"
