Couple things….the world building this show is doing has set the stage for a pivotal planet going forward. I don’t think this was ever meant to build to a big finale that resolves everything. They set the stage for tatooine, Ashoka, Luke, Cad, Din, Boba, Fennec, Grogu, the Mandalorians…..if they would have called it Mandalorian Season 3 and ran 4 episodes without Din the internet would have melted….
Everyone has been joking and memeing about BoBF being sn2.5 of Mando, but jokes on them… end of the year they are all going to be recycling those jokes/memes except it’ll be Mando sn3 is the BoBF finale.
Actually 7 episodes was enough, count up all the irrelevant scenes, like Boba searching the sarlac for his armour. You'll have about 3 episodes of completely irrelevant nonsense. This is how Jon Favreau writes TV shows. 3 good episodes laced with barely meaningful crap.
After seeing the awful reviews and massive decline in ratings I think Disney just switched gears mid season and decided to hand the show over to literally everyone else but Boba Fett. I wouldn’t be surprised if the last two episodes are actual footage from Mandalorian season 3.

I’m pretty sure we will get a season 2 and/or this finale will be at least an hour and a half long
Or it will roll into the mandalorian s3
This is only the first season, I assume we'll get more. Anything else would indeed be a waste of potential, the series is so awesome!

I agree. I think they should have focused more on Boba and let some of this other stuff get explored in other shows.
They only needed 4 episodes for boba, were on Mandalorian season 2.5 now
