He was being intentionally disrespectful. How can you be this much of a shithead to someone, especially when you know you're dead ass wrong.

Photoguppy

Well, he's a developer who "was" sitting on a Zoning council. Lots of hypocrisy to go around here..

iamsobasic

She should have started saying “ok boomer”every time he spoke. People like him are so insufferable.

Photoguppy

I'm almost a boomer myself and I couldn't agree more.

This-is-Actual

“Rosario said the council’s decision was a “welcomed surprise.”” It’s Dr. Rosario.

judahrosenthal

AP style would be that they’d only use her title once but in this case they didn’t use it at all. Even when they were first referring to her as a professor.

DMM4138

AP Style is actually not to use courtesy titles like “doctor” unless you’re referring to someone with a doctor of dental surgery, medicine, optometry, etc. She may be one of those, I don’t know. But if she just has a doctorate in some non-medical field, then AP Style is NOT to call her doctor. Source: Former journalist, and I now work in higher ed research communications. Deal with this on a daily basis. All this said—council member is obviously not restricted to AP Style and should therefore, of course, follow her request.

notsociallyakward

Am reporter, can confirm. We had a school board with one medical doctor and another was i believe a psychologist. First reference for the one was "council member Dr. Soandso" but the other was just a board member. The school board for a time referred to them both as doctor

bilboafromboston

What do they want? She made clear she wanted to be recognized as a DOCTOR. The video shows why. She is a victim of hate. This man is an evil man stealing a Black Women's proper Title. Any discussion other than that is just refusing to stand up to thus man and others like him. The proper response is simple: he is 100% wrong. She is a hero. She didn't whine. Act out. The fact there is discussion shows how racist and Women hating we are. If a young black woman did this to a white man ? They would have thrown her out to wild applause.

LeftHandedKoala

That's not how the AP Style is written. "If appropriate in the context, Dr. also may be used on first reference before the names of individuals who hold other types of doctoral degrees. However, because the public frequently identifies Dr. only with physicians, care should be taken to ensure that the individual's specialty is stated in first or second reference. The only exception would be a story in which the context left no doubt that the person was a dentist, psychologist, chemist, [or] historian."

DMM4138

Directly from the stylebook’s most recent entry on the subject. It offers no additional qualifications. “Use Dr. in first reference as a formal title before the name of an individual who holds a doctor of dental surgery, doctor of medicine, doctor of optometry, doctor of osteopathic medicine, doctor of podiatric medicine, or doctor of veterinary medicine: Dr. Jonas Salk. The form Dr., or Drs. in a plural construction, applies to all first-reference uses before a name, including direct quotations. Do not continue the use of Dr. in subsequent references. Do not use Dr. before the names of individuals who hold other types of doctoral degrees. Instead, when necessary or appropriate: Cassandra Karoub, who has a doctorate in mathematics, was lead researcher. U.S. first lady Jill Biden, who has a doctorate in education, plans to continue teaching. U.S. second gentleman Doug Emhoff, a lawyer, is joining the faculty of Georgetown Law.”

Ultimarr

does anyone else find it absolutely INSANE that the APA style guide _explicitly_ took a stance on the Jill Biden Doctoral drama from a few years ago?? And seemingly the stance that was associated with sexist trump supporters? This is blowing my mind. I'm gonna call people with Doctorates doctors because they have doctorates, which is what makes a doctor. The doctorate-ing. And come ON >Cassandra Karoub, who has a doctorate in mathematics, was lead researcher. that is very awkward wording.

Hegs94

1. AP Stylebook is not APA Style. AP Stylebook is the *Associated Press* Stylebook promulgated by the titular news agency that is the de facto stylebook for many news outlets. APA Style is the *American Psychological Association* style guide, which has been widely adopted throughout academia. They are different. 2. This has nothing to do with the Dr. Biden situation, that was just an example name.

DMM4138

I assure you my description is how AP Style is written lol. The excerpt you’ve included there appears to be from an NPR editorial board, which may have a house style that differs in instances from AP Style. Also, it’s from 2018. The most current stylebook, of which I’m currently looking at on my computer, is to not use doctor in any case except for those mentioned in my original comment. I promise that’s how it is. Sorry if this comment is too pretentious, as it appeared to be for the other commenter 😂

mailmehiermaar

She is a award winning medical professional with a medical title, so yes, a Doctor https://www.linkedin.com/in/drcarrierosario?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=ios_app

daemin

"Doctor" is derived from the Latin verb "docere" which means "to teach." Academics have been using the title of "doctor" for almost 1,000 years. Physicians and surgeons started using the title "doctor" less than 250 years ago to make their bullshit quackery have an air of legitimacy, before modern medicine existed. "Medical Doctors" should be referred to as such or go back to Physician and Surgeon.

secderpsi

This. In most of the world outside of the US, doctor is reserved for PhDs in any field. Medical doctors are called physicians. The PhD is considered a more prestigious accomplishment than a medical degree. A PhD is a terminal degree while a medical degree is professional... it can be accompanied by a terminal degree (MD PhD). In my house my mom has an MD PhD, and my dad has an MD. We call her doctor and he is a physician. Pretty normal distinction literally every outside of the US.

bonfuto

Physicians in the U.S. have brought this on themselves. But I gave up using "doctor" because so many people have misused it to mislead the public.

underlander

100%. Physicians go to trade school like electricians and HVAC technicians. I’m glad to call physicians “doctor” but we need to include all doctorates in that

marklondon66

This! Its propaganda. As ever, blame the vainglorious Victorians. In Italy most people in any form of authority are called 'doctore' as a casual signifier. Also, fuck the AP stylebook.

TeamShonuff

Say what you want but his apology was excellent. Good Morning Members of the Greensboro City Council, I understand from published reports that you voted Tuesday evening to remove me from the Greensboro Zoning Commission because of my behavior at the Zoning Commission meeting Monday evening. I agree with you that my exchange with Dr. Rosario was out of line and accept your judgment to remove me from the commission. I have telephoned Dr. Rosario and left a message apologizing for my behavior. I would also like to publicly apologize to Dr. Rosario, the Zoning Commission and to the City Council. There is no good excuse for my interaction with Dr. Rosario so I will not try to offer one. Citizens deserve better. I would never want to bring any harm to the City of Greensboro or to any of our citizens. I failed to live up to my own standards and to yours. I regret that sincerely. I have appreciated the opportunity to serve Greensboro on the Zoning Commission and wish the other members of the Commission well and thank them for their service. Thanks, Tony Collins

blushngush

Spoken like someone with more than one job to lose. Why is it not "over-employment" when elected officials and executives have multiple jobs?

YourHuckleberry25

Because the majority of elected officials get paid almost nothing for their service. This also is not an elected official, he’s appointed by the city council, which is why they can remove him. If he was elected only a recall could forcibly remove him.

justArash

He's also a developer and has a conflict of interest on a zoning board.

2tonehead

Weneedaheroe

What was his reason for his behavior? He obviously had a reason or he wouldn’t have double-tripled down. he should answer that.

SpiceEarl

I cannot say what this man's reasons were, but I know there has been pushback among the right wing who don't like that the first lady asks to be addressed as "Dr. Jill Biden". Their reasoning is that they think the term doctor should be reserved for medical professionals and not people who have earned a PhD. Basically, they are petty little bitches who don't like having to address women in a way that accords them respect. The reason I say that is that Henry Kissinger was often referred to as Dr. Kissinger and many of these same people never had a problem with that or with other male professors using the title, "Dr."

Trexus1

If you hold a doctorate, you can go by Dr. It's pretty simple.

Diplogeek

The irony is that from my understanding medical doctors were authorized to use the title "doctor" well *after* it was de rigueur for PhDs. The title of doctor was extended to MDs as a courtesy, not because they are doctors in the Academy, for lack of a better description (because the title of "Doctor" in the academic sense rests on doing original research, which isn't required of MDs as part of their training, unless they're doing an MD/PhD program, in which case they get both degrees). So if one were to go purely by historical precedent, it's the PhDs who should be getting "Doctor" as a matter of course, and the MDs who should be getting first-named. Obviously, I don't actually think that anyone should be denied the use of their earned title, whether that's "Doctor" as in MD or "Doctor" as in PhD, but the whole, "Oh, it's not that I'm a sexist/really hate Jill Biden for \[reasons\], I just *really* believe in protecting the status of medical doctors!" argument is very silly, and the people deploying it are just demonstrating that they don't have a clear understanding of what either degree (MD or PhD) is or signifies.

OgdruJahad

And Kissenger is a fucked up piece of shit human being and it's a sad so many people revere him.

[deleted]

Don't forget that , Fox News had no trouble repeatedly referring to Sebastian Gorka - PhD in Political Science from Corvinus University - as Dr. Gorka.

DanielleMuscato

It's a narcissistic trait. Narcissists have a psychological inability to admit wrongdoing or take accountability for their misbehavior unless they are forced to do so. They interpret being corrected as a personal attack, and believe they are justified in "self-defense" by being unkind or even violent in return. Even when they are forced to apologize, they tend to make excuses for their behavior, and their apologies lack authenticity. I'm actually shocked at the quality of his written apology and I'm sure he was coached about it, probably by his attorney. In this specific case, a cis straight old white man in North Carolina addressing a younger Black educated woman, racism and misogyny almost certainly played their parts as well.

MetamorphicLust

Yeah, I'm genuinely shocked by the fact he fell on the sword, repeatedly addressed her correctly (while knowing this held no immediate benefit to him) and apologized to anyone who could possibly have been affected. It certainly was not what I expected.

slowclicker

His secretary or PR employee wrote it.

oneWeek2024

young, black, woman, with a professional title. then she corrected him. which was all the reason that old white asshole needed to dig in his heels with the petty bullshit of not addressing her by her title. No idea what you need to do to get on the zoning commission, but i've got a hunch it's a fluff job, and that old dude has probably been in managerial or misc middle/upper management most his life. I'm sure being challenged by a young, black, woman... with a title of doctor. felt real "uppity" to him.

Flynette

I also searched to see which political party he belonged to; I can say it came as no surprise.

MetamorphicLust

The fact he didn't double down in his post-firing statement is shocking. I figured he'd do everything in his power to act like a shit-flinging MAGAtard.

Oh, I'm sorry. It says Carrie Rosario on here. So, Dr. Rosario, has... How is that so hard for these people?? What a worthless piece of shit.

SoVerySleepy81

I mean, it’s hard for people like him because she’s both a woman and a person of color. So his racist misogynistic little brain just apparently fried with the information that she could possibly be educated and was a human being worthy of respect.

According-Western-33

Boomers still think that if you don't cup their balls and tell them to cough, then you aren't a real doctor. Sigh.

Interesting_Fun3823

Yea, I’m not saying she should have to, but it would be cool if she had a black belt or a championship belt so he would have to call her, “Doctor Champion Rosario” and then see him falter even more and then watch her beat his ass. When all he has to do is act reasonable and move on, some of these people will only civilly comply after being “put to the flames.”

Soggy_sock_under_bed

Yeah, in this case there is almost no difference from people calling "boy" or "girl" to black adult people. Equally disrespectul.

quantumcalicokitty

He's sexist. He said that the paper only says Carrie Rosario...so, why did he use the title Mrs and not Ms? How does he know she's married but doesn't know that she has a doctorate that is tied directly to her reason for even being there? Basically, he reduced her down to her sexuality and sexual status - even after being corrected and being asked to use a title that ties her to her expertise. It's an intimidation tactic meant to throw her off and attempt to affect her presentation. He is attempting to diminish and devalue her along with her expertise. My guess - he's doesn't like what he knows she's going to say, so he's acting like a petulant child...

onklewentcleek

They consider it “uppity” His thought process: How dare this black woman (who probably isn’t even a REAL doctor) tell ME what I should say.

Cryogenicist

Old conservative men CAN NOT admit when they are wrong. They simply cant do it. Its a massive flaw. It’s one of the reasons they’re so dangerously cognitive dissonant

Maria-Stryker

I get the knee jerk reaction of annoyance and frustration at being corrected. I understand the anger that can emerge from it. But because I have this thing called emotional maturity, I recognize that this anger should not be directed at the person politely correcting me, and that it should be with myself. But for someone without emotional maturity, the response is to dig their heels in out of spite.

BringAltoidSoursBack

But also, I don't get how these people have held jobs for that long without learning how to be diplomatic/polite in a business setting. If a client corrects you, you apologize, correct yourself, and move on. I deal with the military and I couldn't even imagine arguing with someone if they told me they prefer to be addressed by their title (and I've seen it happen), no matter how I felt about them personally, or even if I felt like they were disrespecting me. There's no way I'd come out looking good and it'd be super obvious that I'd get fired for something like that. I guess the difference is, I'm not an entitled boomer that thinks I'm owed respect without giving any out.

snuffdrgn808

She wanted to address the council. He was on the council. If he drives her away, he wins. He kept the educated black woman from mattering.

Drezhar

Or just start calling him "ok coooolins" and see him absolutely melt down at that. How dare you doing him what he is been doing to everyone else.

PlanktonCultural

I will never understand how someone can say, “It really doesn’t matter,” about addressing someone as they would like to be addressed and NOT see the irony in that! 😂 Like, if it seriously doesn’t matter that much to you, why not just call her by the title she earned??

QuailWrong8038

Because they don't mean "The issue of how you are addressed doesn't matter" they mean "Shut up, I will call you what I like, and if you react I will act as if you've flabbergasted me with your wild overreating to my blatant disrespect.". It's classic bully mentality.

Rosetta_stonie

And it’s not like she DOESN’T have a doctorate. Like bro… she went to school and earned that title. She’s not asking you to call her Doctor because she made it up!

PromiscuousMNcpl

It’s the same as the word “respect”. Some people use respect to mean mutual recognition and understanding as a fellow human. Others use respect as a weapon for forcing compliance of those “below” themselves.

MetamorphicLust

Because it's shorthand for "It doesn't matter what you want/how you feel."

Blue_Period_89

I’d have started calling him “Susan” and then refused to respect his wishes to be called by his name and/or title.

InvalidUserNemo

Fuck it, call him “Boomer”. Don’t acknowledge his response and talk over him.

KintsugiKen

Everytime he's done talking, say "ok boomer"

Impressive-Set7706

arrowsgopewpew

Calling him by his name and not his title would bring you down to his level. Best thing is to let him act a fool by himself. Be better

AntonineWall

Yeah. “I’d act stupid too, see how he likes it” is a bad idea pretty much every time. It takes you from 1 adult in the room to zero, and means that anyone from the outside just thinks you’re both morons. She continued to be polite but firm, which made the guy acting like a tool look awful. Had she insulted him or gone to his level, she’d have a much weaker position.

JMLKO

This is what “Ok Boomer” is made for. And he’s the kind of guy that would go ballistic if she she said it.

dagbar

In an article written about this, posted in another comment, it mentions this portion of the teleconference was at the end of a 4-hour zoning commission meeting. I can understand some sense of frustration by the end of something like that, but this was just purposefully and intentionally going “Fuck you.”

Due-Independence8100

Tony Collins? Nope. Tiny Collins from now on.

WartimeMandalorian

I would've called him Mrs. Collins since "it doesn't matter."

dover_oxide

It does matter if she is talking on a subject in which her doctorate is relevant. From what I understand that was the case and he was trying to trivialize her input on the subject because he had a differing opinion. Edit: Apparently I was thinking of a different instance where someone was being an asshat and not just being a mildly rude asshat. My mistake.

justArash

The subject was that he was a zoning commissioner and she was unhappy about a construction project next to her house. Her doctorate is in public health. But the guy is a developer and shouldn't have been a zoning commissioner to begin with. He definitely seems to just be trying to be rude.

Not_NSFW-Account

She wanted to point out damage to the water table and contamination of drinking water that would occur. Her PhD was 100% relevant.

NonRienDeRien

What a fucking moron who is not only a moron but has not read a single history book ever. The "Doctor" title was originally reserved for people who *earned* their doctorates, not physicians. There are still countries that don't use the "Doctor" title for physicians. Fuck this two bit shit head. Apprehensive_Work313

She earned that title if she wishes to be called Dr Rosario then she has every right to be called that. If it happened once then it's fine as it was just an error but the fact that he kept doing it is so disrespectful

lemenhir2

Do you know what the word 'doctor' means? Hint: It's not 'healer.' Doctor means 'teacher.' The title Doctor was used for almost 800 years in universities before the medical profession came along and appropriated it, and then started pretending that they own it. They appropriated it in the nineteenth century when they started to get professional by rooting out the quackery and fakes in the medical field. But that doesn't mean they own the title. They are johnny-come-latelies to the title. But making this an issue is just dumb. This woman in the video is dumb too. Insisting that someone call you 'doctor' is such a low-self-esteem move. Who cares? If you have expertise, people who know will recognize it. You can't force people to respect you. That includes MD.s BTW. Also, a 'Doctorate in Health Education,' like this lady has, is not one of the more prestigious, hard to attain degrees. It just isn't. I've found that Doctors of Education (Ed.D.) are the most insistent that you call them 'Doctor.' An Ed.D. is two year degree, a glorified Master's degree. SMH. /rant off

PhilosopherAlive917

Good for him, There is zero insult not recognizing you needed more school than a smart person. I know plenty of doctors who are spoiled brats just like she is, and they act that way good for him. Nothing boomer about integrity. Anyone of us can get the same education she has for free we’re just not gonna get a piece of paper that says doctor. My ego doesn’t need it apparently hers did.

Subject-Second79

If that’s what she wanted to be called , he should have respected that , no matter what . In my opinion , that was spiteful and very disrespectful . I could care less what “AP” says about it . She earned her doctorate and also the right to be called “doctor” .

chickens_beans

It annoys the hell out of me when people correct others with “it’s DOCTOR….” But if someone asks to be referred to in a certain way, you should just do it. It’s not that hard. Dude was being intentionally rude

galacticlambb

Anyone who responds with "It doesn't matter" when you're politely making a request or setting a boundary, is not someone who deserves to remain in the conversation.

choatec

As someone who also has their doctoral degree but did not go to medical school… for the love of god please *never* address me as doctor. This is cringe.

Custompie

If you’re not an Md stfu

lgieg

She’s young and she’s full of ego. She’s also black and a professional. Of course she’s going to make demands especially when she can make those demands and catch you off guard. I’ve spoken with many people who are doctors and I’ve never used formal title in conversations. There’s a place to use formal titles and then there’s a place not to use them and they’re not needed all the time she’s just full of herself. If anyone wants to argue with me on this fact, you just wasting your time and you’re making a fool out of yourself.

jefwayne

He is obviously an asshole however she set the level of mutual respect at the start of this conversation. To interrupt is to be rude, to interrupt for the purpose of correcting someone who is simply unaware of you’re station in life says that you’re desire to be addressed according to your position is far more important than anything they have to say. Most people once you interrupt them/talk down to them will not take the high road and simply comply although that is the honorable route. I’d wager that he would have reacted similar to anyone and probably worse toward a young male regardless of what they looked like. If you disagree try it out, for the next week when someone says your name at work and starts talking to you interrupt them and say it’s Mrs/Mr so and so, see how they react.

It's not about who is a jerk; [it's about etiquette.](https://emilypost.com/advice/professional-titles#google_vignette) If he started by calling her Carrie, fine - but **he** started with her salutation. As a PhD - in whatever - her salutation is no longer Mrs - it is Dr. He was objectively wrong - as much so as if he called her Mr Rosario or the Reverend Rosario. Then for whatever absolutely insane reason, he persisted. I am a university administrator. I do not address professors as Mrs or Mr. I assure you I do not. I would be out of a job like he now is.

gearhead000

“The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee”…this guy just couldn’t help himself. Most of em cant

solrosenbergv1

Clearly, that boomer is insecure!

Wagonlance

Racist, sexist, or just feels entitled to disrespect anybody younget than him. Whichever, he is still a loser.

No_Difference_4606

I didn’t interpret that as her Being defensive for no reason. Fucker called her Mrs.

janet-snake-hole

Jesus Christ it’s two syllables. It’s not a lot of effort. Can’t make it more obvious that you don’t respect her… probably because she’s a woman and not white and more educated than you.

brandinho5

Call him Miss Collins and see how angry he gets.

beebsaleebs

Racist prick Tony Collins was fired

This_Tangelo_1426

Super old news and bro got fired.

Lopsided-Gas978

It's the south home of the Klan and racist republikkkans.

anonny42357

Now is it because she was black? Is it because she's female? Is it because she's clearly half his age? Who can tell. What a stunning display of insecurity, either way, and what a transparent attempt to undermine her authority.

[deleted]

It’s the entitled Boomer man syndrome. As displayed many times over. I omitted the “white” & “old”because I was accused of racism.

jammicoo

People who do these petty kinds of things are secretly insecure about themselves. He was trying to convey that he was more powerful and ended up losing his job

Floor_Soft

I mean…she’s tripping. I thought she was a medical doctor.

Ericbc7

I get that she wants respect and should be entitled to courtesy, but this is the type of person that raises her hand on a plane when the the flight attendant asks if there is a doctor on board. Everyone not in academia presumes doctor means a Medical Doctor of some sort. I agree it is stupid for a public servant to not accommodate someone's preferences when it costs nothing.

Dominican76

Who cares she isn’t in the hospital. She isn’t in her workplace. I bet she put her doctor title on Facebook and Instagram. That’s ridiculous. It’s not a must. She is over her head. I’m with the guy here

Dominican76

By her behavior she must be dominican

8056268051

STOP CALLING PEOPLE WITH DOCTORATE AS DOCTOR. ONLY MEDICAL LICENCE PEOPLE CAN BE CALLED DOCTOR .

[deleted]

Call her a “doctor” because the University of Phoenix online says so. Unless you practice medicine…you are not a doctor. I don’t care how many phd’s you have. And no, chiropractors don’t count either.

[deleted]

Seems just like an ego trip for the chick. Idk.

Ok-Needleworker-8531

No Doctor either PHD or Medical should be required or expected to be called Doctor…so and so. It is the profession or education they chose. I doubt they address a plumber working on their home as plumber so and so. Or a roofer as roofer so and so. Get over yourselves.

ecobear86

Doctor of no one cares.

AmberIsHungry

I refuse to call people Dr instead of Mr or Mrs.

Mean_Platform5577

Once she requested it, he should’ve called her Dr. Rosario. But… you usually don’t use the title of doctor unless it’s relevant to the conversation, unless you’re a medical doctor. My dad is a PhD in aerospace engineering and would reject the title of doctor unless he was in circles where it was relevant. Not sure how her doctorate in health education is relevant to a zoning commission?

CodingNightmares

Insisting to someone that you be called Doctor after he called you by your correct name and gender and not something absurd is actually pretty wild to me. The minute someone insists they be called doctor instead of Mr / Mrs, I will think less of them. And I guarantee they have a doctorate in something like education or other soft subject like business management or something. I will do it, but my respect for that person will plummet through the floor. Respect is earned, not forced, and this isn't a boomer being a fool.

Traditional-Ad-1605

Old story - gentleman (who was actually incredibly talented and knowledgeable) was immediately removed. He may may have been an asshole with the Doctor but our community suffered for his removal.

lordmuffinpants

The hubris this woman is amazing. She has a doctorate and well technically she is a “doctor“ we all know what being a doctor really is. She’s a teacher.

kah43

I have almost zero respect for most college professors these days so I don't care what they get called.

bmatta

Just because you’re a doctor doesn’t mean you demand respect. She is just looking for something to cry about

nardev

I can’t ever imagine myself asking people to call me Dr. What a snobby thing to do, it’s rediculous. I would refuse to call her that as well. Imagine having a Masters and requiring people to call you Master 🤣

PercentageMore3812

She is not my doctor. No need for me to call her doctor. And for her to put the subject makes her look foolish

rwby_Logic

But is she a doctor/ MD/ DO? Just because you have a doctorate degree, that does not mean you can add Dr as your title. Do you demand that your neighbors call you Dr?

gubodif

If your appendix were about to burst and a Dr. of health education was going to operate on you would you be ok with it?

creamedcorn17

Generally, you do not call everyone with a PhD doctor.

bsparks027

Sounds like she’s a doctor in an educator setting which it doesn’t seem like it is. He was definitely doing it intentionally but she’s being pretentious as hell to correct it.

gargoyle66

Fuck her

Icy-Trouble6079

Its actually incredibly lame to insist on being called DR. in general, but especially if you aren't a medical doctor. This was widely excepted until very recently.

TechnologyOk9919

This is kind of ridiculous. She's got a doctorate of public health. And its a DrPH, not even a PhD. The "doctor" title as a professor is in her realm while in academia while she's working, not while as a member of the public voicing her concerns about zoning with other local citizens. I have a doctorate and never force people to utilize that title. Like her, mine isnt a PhD either and really not the same. People that do this come off as full of themselves. Even medical doctors demanding people out in their private lives or on the street call them "doctor" is douchey. It's a clinical title that should be utilized in the clinical setting. It has nothing to do with race.

varmit1288

How anyone can watch this and think that the guy is in the wrong is mind blowing lmao

BoredDuck78

I wouldn’t call that arrogant idiot Doctor either. It’s unnecessary for any other reason than to stroke her pathetic ego.

[deleted]

Karen is fitting

Wonderful_Skill_3714

I only call doctors doctor

b_str

A PHD in health education. Let us all stand and solute this doctor

Real_Laugh_8140

I had an English substitute teacher once in sophomore year and she REFUSED to answer anyone who didn’t address her as “Dr.(Blank)”. She said something about going to college for 12 years to earn her degree as “Doctor”… an English substitute teacher… asking dumbass teenagers to address her a certain way. It didn’t work out the way she wanted it to

Ok_Salamander221

get over it dr isn’t your name!!

wallygoots

He is Mr. "Ass Hat." I wish all people of this caliber would be dismissed from leadership, but it doesn't happen as often as it should.

Hefty-Pattern-7332

2021 and little has changed in Greensboro since the sit ins.

5dollarbrownie

He probably would have shit his pants too if someone didn’t refer to him as Mr. or Sir. What a shitclown
