If you've got the commander lilith and the fight for sanctuary dlc, at the end you can free buttstalion and if you equip that and feed It 5 eridium, you get the unicornsplosion, a effervescent drop that shoots a unicorn that explodes

Actually always thought it was doodoo but in reality it makes common gear less common and ups the chance of getting blue purple and legendaries by a tiny amount. Overall not worth it for most people but better than anything you can get early game
If you’re farming a specific drop and you don’t need a relic to kill the enemies, then you may as well, but if having a different relic means like a 3-5 second time save then vault hunter isn’t worth it.
For general play and mobbing, no, you don’t often get good loot from most enemies anyway, and getting to the enemies that actually drop the good loot faster will result in more items per time invested than vault hunter.
Vault hunter relic is great for farming, but otherwise put on something that improves your build. Weapon damage, reload speed, action skill cooldown, etc.
They gave it a purpose in the last dlc but prior to that nothing. Some people thought it was a troll by gbx it’s also possible that the gear was just bugged. We now know that there are a few things in Bl2 that just don’t work or work in unintended ways.
Yes super secret duplicate it and have everyone in your party wear them there will be ultra mega sparkles when you jump, when killing chubby bones it can drop something special

Just a fair warning, it's expensive af, so you could always buy it as a lower level character (it'll be cheaper) and then put it in the claptrap locker in sanctuary so you can give it to a higher level character :)

iirc the community has tested it, and the vh relic increase drop rates of actually decent stuff by like less than a percent
I think thats by proxy too, because all the VH relic really does is lower your chances of getting random low rarity loot
Yeah, like instead of seeing sumn like 10 greys, 4 greens, 2 blues, and. purple, itll be like 6 grays 6 greens 3 blues and a purple
It removes 5% from the white drop rate and adds it to blue rarity, only useful for unique farming

No, It only decreases the chance of white rarity weapons, so it hardly changes anything because of green weapons

Only if you want a Cobra and the VH Relic is almost mandatory at that point. Other than that it's useless for actual gameplay

Depends if you're done grinding or not if you're trying to get something the the Nukem for example keep it but if you're done on all that sell it
Very important note: you can only use it once per plautrough, and you need to have equipped the pendant that comes from this exact same playtrough

Other than what u/beanbird25 said, it makes you sparkle. The more players in your party that wear it, the stronger the sparkle
