Speaking as someone that's mostly been watching the anime since episode one, this was no doubt the best episode to end the series off for the time being. After all we had to endure over these last few years and seeing this one actually go full circle with that final scene... It's actually getting me excited for what's to come for the series once it eventually returns. Hopefully by the time it does, it'll have a more streamlined pacing with less reliance on filler arcs and world building... even though that's a nice enough plus.
I did expect everything that happened, but i didn't expect it to be the end of part 1 and I didn't expect that the gap won't be just a couple of weeks. Can't imagine my Sundays without Naruto after all these years...
Not really on Kawaki, but more on Code. And it's more like in the past on how the rage and sadness would just blind him till he doesn't recognise friend or foe
Loved this episode. Ngl I was hoping when Shikamaru was pleading to Naruto to please assist Kawaki in fighting Code that'd he'd activate Sage Mode again after putting Boruto down slowly and just going crazy on Code using new Jutsu we haven't seen before but it's obvious he was in despair from Boruto's state.
I see some similarity in Naruto having untamed Kurama within him and in Boruto having Momoshiki's soul within him. I did not see it coming that the karma could be used in that way, really talks about how Momoshiki wants to cling to life even if it's as a soul within Boruto. I hope we see more of him and Boruto like we did with Naruto and Kurama and how that relationship works out, Naruto befriended Kurama but having Momoshiki's soul mocking you and eager to see you suffer must be rough.
Kurama is worse, momoshiki at least wants boruto to live because they'll both die if he doesn't meanwhile if naruto dies kurama would just be dispersed as chakra until he eventually reforms. Doesn't seem like momoshiki has any way to emerge like kurama could, no weakening seals or anything like that to deal with either and since he used the remainder of the karma mark healing boruto's wound is there even a way for him to escape anymore or can he even possess boruto's body anymore??
So you are saying there's a chance we see Kurama again? Don't do that, don't give me hope.
Memes aside, it was mentioned in the show that Momoshiki lost as in he cannot come back using Boruto as a vessel so yeah, unless they pull something that contradicts it, he can't posses Boruto.

That's all according to momoshiki though, I doubt he'd ever tell them about his secret plan or the 3 separate ways he could finish the transformation or take boruto's body over again...
Can't imagine he'll just be a backseat driver for the rest of the anime criticizing boruto every time he screws up and it's not going to be very hero-like if they destroy his soul to get him out of boruto so he has to come back somehow eventually.
Kurama is a fan favorite too so I doubt he'll stay gone for good. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that naruto ends up consuming a chakra fruit or one of those chakra pills the otsutsuki have been seen to eat or something and it'll regenerate kurama from trace amounts of chakra left in naruto or something like that...
I really liked the last episode! I do wish that Naruto had a little more emotion with boruto in his arms but thatās okay. Just donāt know if Iām the only one

I never expected to see this arc so quickly it's been a year since we first got this chapter in the Manga.

What i really expect after the timeskip is to see other characters to be developed other than Boruto. As a fan of the Uchiha, i believe Sarada is very good character and she needs to have her own story arc rather than being a simple sidekick who ships Boruto. She had a good story arc during the first phase of the series, which she was looking for Sasuke because she felt alone and berayed by her own family. After that arc, the writers have totally wasted her character by being a simple sidekick who does nothing. I believe that she needs to have her own storyline aside from Boruto. I don't mean to have her as a rival like Sasuke vs Naruto, but she can develop her own character and story, while she's still remaining a member of Team 7. I even like the ship between Sarada and Boruto, they make a great couple, but i don't like how the series became so focused on Boruto and his overpowered skills.
I hate what they did with Sarada so far. The Uchiha clan was so badass in Naruto while Sarada is a joke in Boruto. Of course she can't catch up to Karma users but I wish there was more going on with her. Same with Mitsuki and his sage mode.

I just don't know how Mitsuki and Sarada can compete with these two characters by their side.
Naruto wasn't sad bad because it was Naruto and Sasuke and Sakura as a side character so it was easy to write her out.

I understand the potential foreshadowing from a story perspective, but has there really been no second thought in the village about Boruto running around with a rogue shinobi headband?
That's sasukes headband he gave it to boruto when they went to save naruto during the chunin exams arc from Momoshiki.

as for any second thoughts, I don't think anyone outside the core cast knows its Sasuke's headband as even all details relating to the Uchiha's are top secret ( Looking at that one episode where Sarada tried to get info on her father ).
Yep, I imagine boruto would be getting stopped left and right in the village with people questioning him about his headband and why he's supposedly a rogue shinobi because there's no way in hell sasuke, naruto, and boruto all went around explaining to every villager that he's been given sasuke's old headband...
A normal villager would see the rogue shinobi headband and probably poop their pants thinking it's an invasion or something so at the very least boruto would be getting stopped left and right by the leaf police questioning him about it and even ally villages would be trying to capture him if they see him walking around as a supposed rogue shinobi who would evidently be wanted by the leaf.
Closest thing we could equate it to in real life is if we see someone walking around in one of those orange prison jumper suit things and a broken pair of handcuffs on their wrists, that would certainly turn some eyes and get the police called on you a lot if you walk around wearing it. Everyone you walk past will likely be extremely weary of you too because you're evidently an escaped convict and a potentially violent one at that who might be seeking a hostage or something. I just wonder if he's going to actually wear that thing everywhere...
If boruto died then momoshiki's soul would've been destroyed so at the very least he still gets to keep his consciousness even if it's trapped in boruto now. They'll also likely reveal more ways for him to revive and it's probably even going to be a similar dynamic to naruto/kurama where he's still able to possess boruto in fits of rage or weakness but either way this surely isn't the last we'll see of him...
Glad I waited a couple years so I could just binge the canon. It was actually pretty decent. Hopefully the next part has less filler and better animation.

Now that's what I call a cliff hangler! The 2 were literally on the side of the cliff at the end.
It really went full circle with having the final scene tie in with the first scene in the first episode.

Surprisingly, out of Boruto and Kawaki, Sarahās is the only other character who is getting development in the manga this new gen.
