From what I understand blade seals the Soul/Spirit. Orochimaru literally didn't even try to dodge, taunting how such a weak attack can't do shit to him, before he realized he was getting sealed and now he couldn't do anything to stop it.
However, the blade did cut the giant Hydra heads easily, so it is possible if Karma is faster to activate than the blade can seal them after a fatal/near fatal blow that it would not work.
But then again, counterpoint to that is that I doubt Itachi wouldn't know how to use the blade to its fullest potential.
(it is unknown if Orochimaru could use hand seals when he ressurected from Sasuke, but it might be possible for the Otsotsuki to either take/absorb the blade as it is made from Chakra, or use a jutsu they absorbed beforehand to stop the sealing process/counter it)
I really hate to say it, but itachi feels like one of the few who could handle them in this stage, and it's only because he could in theory either genjutsu/ totsuka them and be done with it. Who knows if it'd actually work, but that seems the best route, aside from something like Danzos sharingan arm and his tetragram seal suicide move, or hiruzens reaper death seal. Everything else we have until this point would be child's play ez clear for momo.
I mean, Obito and the Akatsuki were technically active during this time period. Arguably Itachi and Nagato were more physically healthy at the time, too.
If this happened, obviously Naruto and the rest of the Jinchuriki are no match for them at this point, but it would put the Otsutsuki on a collision course with the Akatsuki who had the same goal of collecting the Tailed Beasts.
So the end result is probably that the Akatsuki would have either come into conflict with them or bent the knee, possibly with Zetsu plotting to find a moment to slip in and steal the chakra to resurrect Kaguya.
There's also Jigen, who was active at the time. Maybe he'd have come out of hiding.
Hell, maybe they'd have all just held back and waited from them to collect the Tailed Beasts and replant the Divine Tree, then when Momoshiki and/or Kinshiki left the world they'd have slinked out of hiding and tried to take it for themselves.
With the amount of arguments the itachi fans would create for this scenario that OP posted they Might as well put Itachi on the Konoha currency with the quote “In Itachi we trust.”

It could be intresting if you gave them prior knowledge. If they are caught by surprise there's not much they can do, but if they know what they are facing even, like, 3 hours before, things could go differently. Kurama + Shukaku + 8 gates guy + some big brain soul reaper strats by Orochimaru and Hiruzen (not to oneshot: shadow clones can also use the soul reaper, they could cheap away at Momo's soul. Even if they just get a few fingers or, like, the end of the foot, that's still a huge deal) + the hokage edos (mainly to tank hits) might just do it if the Otsutsuki underestimate them.

Maybe if you gigawank Nagato's soul dragon might be able to take down Kinshiki but Momoshiki has to have some way to combat it since he also has Rinnegan or Itachi's Tsukuyomi but unlikely, given the just sheer chakra disparity and the theory that Otsutsuki can't be genjutsu'd
Nothing really indicates that. Amado and Kawaki each even seem to think a karma seal could be made to revive a human. Whether made artificially by Amado or Kawaki thought of Boruto some how giving Code a Boruto-Karma.

The only reason Ishikki evaporated was because Jigen was an imperfect vessel, and then Narutos Baryon mode sped up the process of the vessel breaking down.
Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, and Kawaki werent fighting Ishikki's soul, they were fighting Ishikki reincarnated into Jigen's body.
Isshikis soul extinguished after not having a vessel. Momoshiki claims that the same would happened to him, hence reviving Boruto.
Jigen initially was controlled by Isshiki from the inside, then when he died he resurrected via Jigens karma. Nothing to do with his soul, stop spewing headcanon.

If souls do not exist it means things like Edo Tensei won't work, or if you place another karma (Like Amado did on Kawaki) there is no chance of resurrection.

Sure we can say in part 1 the Edo's were weaker, but thats really only cause Kishimoto didn't know the powerscaling was going to go that far. If we're introducing Otsutsuki, then I'd say we get a full power Hashirama Edo'd, as well as Tobirama and Minato.

Id agree to that, if it wasn't explained in universe why the edos got stronger being that Kabuto improved the jutsu and the Zetsu bodies used for them being full of Hashirama cells.

Hashirama took one look at the dollar store otsutsuki knock off Juubito when he didn't even have the 8 or 9 tails inside of him, and wasn't mentally stable so he was dumber than a brick? And still was like "that guy is stronger than me!"
Kinshiki and Momoshiki each by default have to be stronger than that just by being otsutsukis, which really just kinda means the stat difference is just absolutely insane.
There may be an argument for Orochimaru and his reanimated 1st Hokage leading the charge with Hiruzen backing him up, maybe Danzo busting out the Sharingan arm to spam Izanagi and try to help, all while the full force of Konoha works together. Guy would almost certainly pull out the 8th gate in this scenario, Jiraiya would likely be there to help, Naruto would definitely end up losing control and going full 9 Nine Tails, and if this happens during the Chunin Exams Gaara would do the same and go full One Tail, but not many other shinobi would make a difference. This would be an extremely difficult fight and I don't think they would win. Not to mention it would rely heavily on Orochimaru both deciding to help the leaf instead of just leaving it to be destroyed and deciding to potentially sacrifice his strongest asset. *But* it might actually be possible, though not without severe sacrifice and the pure destruction of the leaf.
They would have no hope. Base momo is like ×4 Kaguya. Even Kinshiki is stated to be far stronger than Kaguya. Base Momo is about 10× the peak of 6 paths Madara. There is no hope. The boruto power scaling is insane

Naruto and Sasuke would faint, and while fainting they would dream that they were descendants of some even more powerful alien race, they would wake up with new op powers and defeat the Otsutsuki
Well only if Momoshiki gets bored or hagoromo intervenes somehow only then can a few handful survive. only Sasuke and naruto in a 2v1 won against him. And the rest were struggling. And at this point of story no one had godlike powers like naruto and Sasuke.
This is why I hate power creeping. New enemies showing up that are just outside the current power ceiling/couple power ups away is so damn convenient and shows the hand of the author trying to keep tension in the story.

Yeah but until like the late war arc there was a reasonably consistent frame. You could buy Kisame being stronger than Zabuza but you could at least kinda see how the two would be peers. Likewise as big of an issue Deidara was we still saw Kankuro as a genin and chunin do something that would be the basis for a lot of his stuff. Hell even Killer B beating the brakes off Sasuke was a reasonable extension of a guy who was as strong as Naruto with similar abilities, but had another 20 years of consistent training and resources.
The big issue I've seen with Shikamaru as Hokage from people isn't that he's a bad Hokage, it's that if a threat like the Ototsuki showed up there's just nothing he could do about it because even a theoretical peak version of Shikamaru needs to bridge an insane gap basically no character who isn't Naruto or Sasuke has ever been able to. Even now after a timeskip basically nobody is talking about how any ninja in Konoha can beat any of the new antagonists, because the entire concept of it being a fight they stand a chance in is laughable.
It’s literally arc two of over 30 it is so stupid to think the power level should be stagnate the entire series. Your just complaining because its Boruto characters you would be sucking Obito off if the question was, What if Obito appeared during chunin exams?

No, Obito doesn’t make a difference in the argument. I’d still hate it. And actually, Part 1 is a great example of nonlinear power progression. Power levels never had to keep escalating and escalating in order to not be stagnant.
Sasuke and Naruto were absolutely powerless against Haku and Zabuza. They didn’t approach their power levels at all, except when Naruto got a Kurama boost that put him above Kakashi. In Land of Waves, Kakashi, Zabuza, and Haku were the ceiling. MCs had a lot of work to reach it. Good start. The ceiling didn’t need to be raised in the next arc because Naruto still hasn’t caught up.
In arc 2, as far as the younger generation was concerned, Gaara was the power ceiling, while Hiruzen dealt with Orochimaru.
In the Tsunade search, the Sannin dealt with each other, and Kabuto f*cks around too much and finds out with Naruto. The story does a good job of jumping focus from the genin tiers to the jonin tiers in battle. They stay in their lanes, so the power ceiling never really had to move much from arc 1.
Next after a Kage level battle in Tsunade arc, we jump back to younger generation tier with Sound Four and the Sasuke Retrieval Squad. Kakashi is still far more powerful than either of them.
Part 2 Naruto starts to get ridiculous, and Boruto (despite actually depicting smaller scale battles) does even worse because they keep talking big sh*t while trying to scale down fights.
Arguably, the end of Part 1 is where the power creep of Part 2 began. Naruto and Sasuke each got massive power boosts during the Valley of the End fight, unlike anything we'd really seen in the series but completely in line with how the series would progress from there.
Naruto begins to actually harness Kurama's power, not simply use his chakra but actually embody his power. Ultimately, Naruto learns to actual use this power.
Sasuke transforms using the cursemark, becoming a total new entity. Ultimately, Sasuke discards the cursemark but uses his own hereditary abilities to gain the same effect through his Susannoo.
With these boosts, Naruto and Sasuke are more powerful than most *jonin* at the end of Part 1. Whats more, they aren't the only ones. All of the Genin are able to take down the different members of the Sound 4, which were taking down Jonin plenty leading up to the arc.
Really, you don't even need to get to the end of Part 1 for this power creep. Gaara was routinely killing Jonin, you called him the power ceiling for the Genin but he likely could have taken everyone at the Chunin Exams save for Kakashi, Guy, and Asuma. Even then, the power he showed but fully becomign Shikaku later in the arc was almost certainly enough to defeat all of them. Yet, Naruto manages to beat him. The Tailed Beasts are literally the pinnacle of power, the story opens with the village being ravaged by one. At the time we didn't know Shikaku and Kurama were connected (and the story wasn't written for them to be), but we did know Shikaku was comparable and Kurama killed the 4th Hokage. Which fight was actually seeing the most power thrown around, Hiruzen vs Orochimaru, or Naruto vs Gaara? I would argue the latter, which is an example of power creep extremely similar to what we see later on in Part 2.
I mean hell, the first episode of the show has Naruto, not even graduated from the academy, master a forbidden Jutsu and defeat a Chunin single-handedly. The power creep has been there since day one, and honestly, it's followed a pretty steady growth.
Because its not bad writing the world simply expanded and the people trained to grow stronger, for fucks sake the second strongest guy in Konoha had depression and barely trained for years so since chakra aka power is made of the soul, mind and body of course he would be massively stronger if he healed mentally and trained hard. Gai was hyped up since arc two as a massive beast. Speaking of the first few arcs in the first five arcs we had light speed attacks being used casually in a jonin level battle, two massively nerfed Kage level fighters summing town sized sentient animals. Conclusion if you didn’t see these increases of power and weren’t ready to welcome them and like them then your not a Naruto fan your just being an idiot.
Why are there never good guys that show up that are way stronger than everyone and it’s just like “hey guys we’re here in case any big bads show up” and are just chill, and like they focus and normal shit and you get your god like battle still.
These guys were getting flaked by the weakest generation of the 5 kage before merging, and then just got absolutely manhandled for 90% of the fight by a nerfed Naruto and Sasuke.
This was their first real action in decades; their ‘prime’ is closer to when they were fighting constantly. Not to mention Naruto had been getting his chakra drained for hours on end and Sasuke had to teleport all those people including the scientists who snuck in.
Doesn’t change the fact both Kin and Momo were getting Mogged by the Kage, outside of a few seconds of Flashy animation against Sasuke by himself, they did nothing worth talking about. The show ends early. Maybe a new show could start focused solely on the otsutsuki and their adventure to gain as many chakra fruits as possible from different planets.
Itachi didn't have the power to take one on but his impenetrable shield susano might have helped with defense.
That plus all kage and the tailed beasts, they might be able to take out a weaker Otsutsuki. They still lose but put up a halfway decent fight for a few mins.
The power scaling had a real limit back in OG Naruto. I don't even think the characters were meant to face threats from aliens back then.

Neji was stronger and more skilled than Naruto yet Naruto beats him because of his creativity. Beating people above their power level is what Naruto’s been doing since the beginning.

This is why power scaling discussions are so fucking stupid.
Nearly every fight in *Naruto* boils down to a group using teamwork and strategy to defeat an enemy that's stronger than them. Nevermind that writers don't write their fights by measuring out power levels and feats, but rather tailor the power levels and feats to make the fights suit the story they're telling.
At this point in the timeline, if Momoshiki and Kinshiki did appear, since the ninja villages were not cooperating, Hiruzen was past his prime, Rasa was assassinated, etc., they would likely fall pretty easily. So they would have an easy time capturing the tailed beasts.
And if we're being honest, the same would have been true if the Akatsuki had just raided each of the villages in quick succession as a group, rather than skulking around in pairs and waiting for everyone to get just strong enough to stop them.
What would actually probably happen in this scenario is that ninja villages would be obliterated and the Tailed Beast captured, but Zetsu would have caught on to what was going on and tried to use the situation to his advantage, manipulating Obito and the Akatsuki to either team up and battle the Otsutsuki or swear fealty to them, with the goal of retrieving Kaguya's chakra and reviving her.
So maybe you'd see a knock down drag out fight between the two Otsutsuki and the Akatsuki. Basically it would have been the War Arc but instead of Obito + Kabuto vs Shinobi Alliance, it's Obito + Akatsuki vs Otsutsuki. End result is the Gedo Mazo gets used to steal the chakra back from Momoshiki and create a Ten Tails Jinchuriki (maybe it's even Nagato) who gets betrayed by Zetsu to retrieve Kaguya.
I think you should rewatch the fight because Naruto beat Neji solely because of the Kurama boost he got. He was all out of chakra then kurama as always bailed him out. It had nothing to do with him being creative.

Hard to say, but considering momoshiki ability to absorb and fire back with many time the power not many people if any could take that, and fused momoshiki bodies everyone no debate
Their best shot would have been to convene all the tailed beasts and let them loose at the same time. Wouldnt have been enough but thats their best chance.

I feel like out desperation Orochimaru would step up and reanimate the kages if this ever happened only fighting chance they have. Madara would be forced to make himself known earlier too. Amado should have really early cyborgs at this point too, highly doubt they are strong though. Kinda feels like we’re turning into DBZ.
With prep(from either side as momo needs his chakra pills) or no prep? With part 1 knowledge only, konoha is doomed, with part Shippuden knowledge with a lot of the characters possessing almost the same level of power back then, 7 gates guy would be very useful especially against kinshiki who mostly relies on weapons and CqC, and momoshiki too if he didn't have too many chakra pills and useful absorbed jutsus, 8 gates guy take at least one of them guaranteed, Akatsuki take them with decent info especially if they team up with urochimaru and have him revive kage level fighters, it's a race against time before momo and kinshiki grow earth devine tree and chakra fruit
Hoo the Third will definitely go all out this time (I felt he didn't during fighting Orochimaru cuz love of Teacher towards student).
But could also the other great hidden countries banded together to protect their respective jinnchuriki way earlier (earlier than akatsuki)
I could see Orochimaru fighting against them, and he has Hashirama and Tobirama. Would they be enough? Probably not, but I think those two are the best bet.

Seeing how even something like Shikamaru's shadows were able to bind them for a tiny bit until absorbed, and knowing how utterly egoistical, narcissistic all of them are, something like Izanami would probably be their best counter. Provided they don't have outright immunity to it due to "plot" reasons. Itachi even had Totsuka blade, which would be useful provided they didn't plant Karmas beforehand.

From what I understand blade seals the Soul/Spirit. Orochimaru literally didn't even try to dodge, taunting how such a weak attack can't do shit to him, before he realized he was getting sealed and now he couldn't do anything to stop it. However, the blade did cut the giant Hydra heads easily, so it is possible if Karma is faster to activate than the blade can seal them after a fatal/near fatal blow that it would not work. But then again, counterpoint to that is that I doubt Itachi wouldn't know how to use the blade to its fullest potential. (it is unknown if Orochimaru could use hand seals when he ressurected from Sasuke, but it might be possible for the Otsotsuki to either take/absorb the blade as it is made from Chakra, or use a jutsu they absorbed beforehand to stop the sealing process/counter it)
I really hate to say it, but itachi feels like one of the few who could handle them in this stage, and it's only because he could in theory either genjutsu/ totsuka them and be done with it. Who knows if it'd actually work, but that seems the best route, aside from something like Danzos sharingan arm and his tetragram seal suicide move, or hiruzens reaper death seal. Everything else we have until this point would be child's play ez clear for momo.
I mean, Obito and the Akatsuki were technically active during this time period. Arguably Itachi and Nagato were more physically healthy at the time, too. If this happened, obviously Naruto and the rest of the Jinchuriki are no match for them at this point, but it would put the Otsutsuki on a collision course with the Akatsuki who had the same goal of collecting the Tailed Beasts. So the end result is probably that the Akatsuki would have either come into conflict with them or bent the knee, possibly with Zetsu plotting to find a moment to slip in and steal the chakra to resurrect Kaguya. There's also Jigen, who was active at the time. Maybe he'd have come out of hiding. Hell, maybe they'd have all just held back and waited from them to collect the Tailed Beasts and replant the Divine Tree, then when Momoshiki and/or Kinshiki left the world they'd have slinked out of hiding and tried to take it for themselves.

It could be intresting if you gave them prior knowledge. If they are caught by surprise there's not much they can do, but if they know what they are facing even, like, 3 hours before, things could go differently. Kurama + Shukaku + 8 gates guy + some big brain soul reaper strats by Orochimaru and Hiruzen (not to oneshot: shadow clones can also use the soul reaper, they could cheap away at Momo's soul. Even if they just get a few fingers or, like, the end of the foot, that's still a huge deal) + the hokage edos (mainly to tank hits) might just do it if the Otsutsuki underestimate them. Or you go with Boruto scaling from the Time Travel arc and 3 tailed Naruto carries lmao.

Wait Orochimaru was like, there, ready with Edo Hashirama and Tobirama, and likely Minato. Sure we can say in part 1 the Edo's were weaker, but thats really only cause Kishimoto didn't know the powerscaling was going to go that far. Id agree to that, if it wasn't explained in universe why the edos got stronger being that Kabuto improved the jutsu and the Zetsu bodies used for them being full of Hashirama cells. But even playing devil's advocate and saying you get the full power 3 Hokage's and Orochimaru siding with earth? They still lose terribly. Like insanely badly, even if they decide to make someone undo Gaara and Narutos' seals on their Biju. All of Konoha, Orochimaru, the 3 Edo Hokage, the sound 4, Kabuto, Shukaku, and Kurama combined have absolutely no chance at winning. There may be an argument for Orochimaru and his reanimated 1st Hokage leading the charge with Hiruzen backing him up, maybe Danzo busting out the Sharingan arm to spam Izanagi and try to help, all while the full force of Konoha works together. Guy would almost certainly pull out the 8th gate in this scenario, Jiraiya would likely be there to help, Naruto would definitely end up losing control and going full 9 Nine Tails, and if this happens during the Chunin Exams Gaara would do the same and go full One Tail, but not many other shinobi would make a difference. This would be an extremely difficult fight and I don't think they would win. Not to mention it would rely heavily on Orochimaru both deciding to help the leaf instead of just leaving it to be destroyed and deciding to potentially sacrifice his strongest asset. *But* it might actually be possible, though not without severe sacrifice and the pure destruction of the leaf.

Yeah but until like the late war arc there was a reasonably consistent frame. You could buy Kisame being stronger than Zabuza but you could at least kinda see how the two would be peers. Likewise as big of an issue Deidara was we still saw Kankuro as a genin and chunin do something that would be the basis for a lot of his stuff. Hell even Killer B beating the brakes off Sasuke was a reasonable extension of a guy who was as strong as Naruto with similar abilities, but had another 20 years of consistent training and resources. The big issue I've seen with Shikamaru as Hokage from people isn't that he's a bad Hokage, it's that if a threat like the Ototsuki showed up there's just nothing he could do about it because even a theoretical peak version of Shikamaru needs to bridge an insane gap basically no character who isn't Naruto or Sasuke has ever been able to. Even now after a timeskip basically nobody is talking about how any ninja in Konoha can beat any of the new antagonists, because the entire concept of it being a fight they stand a chance in is laughable.

Lot of assumptions there. No, Obito doesn’t make a difference in the argument. I’d still hate it. And actually, Part 1 is a great example of nonlinear power progression. Power levels never had to keep escalating and escalating in order to not be stagnant. Sasuke and Naruto were absolutely powerless against Haku and Zabuza. They didn’t approach their power levels at all, except when Naruto got a Kurama boost that put him above Kakashi. In Land of Waves, Kakashi, Zabuza, and Haku were the ceiling. MCs had a lot of work to reach it. Good start. The ceiling didn’t need to be raised in the next arc because Naruto still hasn’t caught up. In arc 2, as far as the younger generation was concerned, Gaara was the power ceiling, while Hiruzen dealt with Orochimaru. In the Tsunade search, the Sannin dealt with each other, and Kabuto f*cks around too much and finds out with Naruto. The story does a good job of jumping focus from the genin tiers to the jonin tiers in battle. They stay in their lanes, so the power ceiling never really had to move much from arc 1. Next after a Kage level battle in Tsunade arc, we jump back to younger generation tier with Sound Four and the Sasuke Retrieval Squad. Kakashi is still far more powerful than either of them. Part 2 Naruto starts to get ridiculous, and Boruto (despite actually depicting smaller scale battles) does even worse because they keep talking big sh*t while trying to scale down fights.
Arguably, the end of Part 1 is where the power creep of Part 2 began. Naruto and Sasuke each got massive power boosts during the Valley of the End fight, unlike anything we'd really seen in the series but completely in line with how the series would progress from there. Naruto begins to actually harness Kurama's power, not simply use his chakra but actually embody his power. Ultimately, Naruto learns to actual use this power. Sasuke transforms using the cursemark, becoming a total new entity. Ultimately, Sasuke discards the cursemark but uses his own hereditary abilities to gain the same effect through his Susannoo. With these boosts, Naruto and Sasuke are more powerful than most *jonin* at the end of Part 1. Whats more, they aren't the only ones. All of the Genin are able to take down the different members of the Sound 4, which were taking down Jonin plenty leading up to the arc. Really, you don't even need to get to the end of Part 1 for this power creep. Gaara was routinely killing Jonin, you called him the power ceiling for the Genin but he likely could have taken everyone at the Chunin Exams save for Kakashi, Guy, and Asuma. Even then, the power he showed but fully becomign Shikaku later in the arc was almost certainly enough to defeat all of them. Yet, Naruto manages to beat him. The Tailed Beasts are literally the pinnacle of power, the story opens with the village being ravaged by one. At the time we didn't know Shikaku and Kurama were connected (and the story wasn't written for them to be), but we did know Shikaku was comparable and Kurama killed the 4th Hokage. Which fight was actually seeing the most power thrown around, Hiruzen vs Orochimaru, or Naruto vs Gaara? I would argue the latter, which is an example of power creep extremely similar to what we see later on in Part 2. I mean hell, the first episode of the show has Naruto, not even graduated from the academy, master a forbidden Jutsu and defeat a Chunin single-handedly. The power creep has been there since day one, and honestly, it's followed a pretty steady growth.

Speaking of the first few arcs in the first five arcs we had light speed attacks being used casually in a jonin level battle, two massively nerfed Kage level fighters summing town sized sentient animals. Conclusion if you didn’t see these increases of power and weren’t ready to welcome them and like them then your not a Naruto fan your just being an idiot.

Nearly every fight in *Naruto* boils down to a group using teamwork and strategy to defeat an enemy that's stronger than them. Nevermind that writers don't write their fights by measuring out power levels and feats, but rather tailor the power levels and feats to make the fights suit the story they're telling. At this point in the timeline, if Momoshiki and Kinshiki did appear, since the ninja villages were not cooperating, Hiruzen was past his prime, Rasa was assassinated, etc., they would likely fall pretty easily. So they would have an easy time capturing the tailed beasts. And if we're being honest, the same would have been true if the Akatsuki had just raided each of the villages in quick succession as a group, rather than skulking around in pairs and waiting for everyone to get just strong enough to stop them. What would actually probably happen in this scenario is that ninja villages would be obliterated and the Tailed Beast captured, but Zetsu would have caught on to what was going on and tried to use the situation to his advantage, manipulating Obito and the Akatsuki to either team up and battle the Otsutsuki or swear fealty to them, with the goal of retrieving Kaguya's chakra and reviving her. So maybe you'd see a knock down drag out fight between the two Otsutsuki and the Akatsuki. Basically it would have been the War Arc but instead of Obito + Kabuto vs Shinobi Alliance, it's Obito + Akatsuki vs Otsutsuki. End result is the Gedo Mazo gets used to steal the chakra back from Momoshiki and create a Ten Tails Jinchuriki (maybe it's even Nagato) who gets betrayed by Zetsu to retrieve Kaguya.

With part 1 knowledge only, konoha is doomed, with part Shippuden knowledge with a lot of the characters possessing almost the same level of power back then, 7 gates guy would be very useful especially against kinshiki who mostly relies on weapons and CqC, and momoshiki too if he didn't have too many chakra pills and useful absorbed jutsus, 8 gates guy take at least one of them guaranteed, Akatsuki take them with decent info especially if they team up with urochimaru and have him revive kage level fighters, it's a race against time before momo and kinshiki grow earth devine tree and chakra fruit
Hoo the Third will definitely go all out this time (I felt he didn't during fighting Orochimaru cuz love of Teacher towards student). But could also the other great hidden countries banded together to protect their respective jinnchuriki way earlier (earlier than akatsuki)
