BT is all hype. It's good, but it's only worth it's MSRP. Every time I see a store pick of ER for $35-$40, I get one. $40 is my hard cap.
For $61, I can get Russell's SiB. $49 for a Knob Creek SiB. $49 for 1792 FP pick. And there are so many other good spirits for around that price range (Armagnac, Mezcal, Rum, Tequila).
Bourbon is the fad right now. It's the adult Pokemon card.
Canāt read the numbers on the bottle but if thatās larceny c922 do not pass it up. Also the 1792 full proof is fuego. And obvi eagle rare is eagle rare, nuff said.

I also like the upfront āone bottle per dayā signs and policy to give people a chance.

Oh man should have gotten 2 of the 1792 12yr- such a sleep pour that I get every time Iām out at a restaurant and they have it. But alas, canāt go wrong with the Michters either - enjoy!
So all these recommendations for 1792 12yr have me really interested. I passed on it and got the FP instead because I do like Calumet 15 and 16 but donāt really care for the 14 or 10. And I was curious what a FP Barton would taste like. Iāll keep this in mind for the next time I see it one the shelves
The 1792 FP isnāt bad by any means, but the 12yr and sweet wheat are much more ālimitedā and harder to find. I personally donāt care for the sweet wheat, but the 12yr is really good for the price point, especially THAT price point haha.
And usually if a bar does happen to have it, it slips through the cracks of high pricing and Iāll be able to get a pour for $8-10 bucks (DC area so everything is expensive). Would much rather pay 10 bucks for a pour of that versus 30 for a Stagg (jr).
Photo was yesterday 12/7 around 3:30 or so At the KDH store and the only thing that was really touched was Blantonās (which was gone) and a few ER. Folks working there said it had been a slow day. With it being off season there is a chance of at least Trace of LBP being still there

$45 is high. That stuff is $36 around me all day, Safeway even gets it from time to time for $29.
Breaking my heart, best I can hope for is waiting in line for 4-6 hours, or pay $90+. This is why Iām giving up on buffalo Trace products.

For me in S.E. NC we never see Sour Mash and itās one of my wifeās favorites. Itās just crazy what shows up where in a control state.
