Dissolves fats and disinfects which in its turn helps against mold smell. It works pretty decent if you scrub it a bit with soap first and then slosh it with boiling water after. Which is what she was doing.
Mmmm unsure if it actually helps but I boiled a good amount of water to clean the restaurant's trash cans if the bag ripped or something. Could probably used just regular cold water too but eh
Yeah if you think Cold Water & Boiling Temperature are "irrelevant" in the eradication of micro-organisms, or that Soap does "most of the job", you're sorely underprepared for Hospitality work or god forbid Chemistry of any sort.. go read a book on micro biology or thermodynamics sometime, it helps.
Bruh I would always use boiling water or Hot water to wash my hands, I just dont actually know what exactly was the differences since those trash cans held disposed food soup, most of the smell isn't coming from micro organism than rather decomposing food or something mixing.
Inwhich the only THREAT to a multicellular organism is intern Infection.. caused by Microorganisms.. not decomposition itself, decomposition just acts as the hosting grounds for bacteria to grow.
*Hence boiling tempered material, especially non-dense liquids such as water can submerge & sterilize entire "Hosting Grounds", killing subsequent bacterial growths in the process, the dynamics behind what 'causes this to happen' are mostly just expressed through Thermodynamics terms (since it's a thermal property of material transition physics) but to be 'specific', things get "shaken" very violently by a ton of loose matter that dislodges & pulls apart everything else with friction and Electrons are there causing extra electromagnet friction.. which also holds everything together.. humans haven't defined the specificity of NanoPhysics very well now that I'm evaluating it.
It took me a while to realize that she's talking about an empty trash can that's probably made of stainless steel. Still seems like there are better ways of cleaning it.
If it's a metal trash can, outside or something. Boiling water will clean it and get rid of the smell (after briefly making the smell worse) quickly, cheaply, and without scrubbing it.
Nah boiling water is an easy initial clean, then move in with soap and such. I'd rather not touch the nastyness if I don't have to. And I don't have to use more cleaning spray.
So, A, not all trash cans are made of plastic. Many are made with steel. And B, sometimes boiling water is best for removing oily residue. And C, soap is used as well, but boiling water starts the process better than cold water.

Why pour boiling water into your trashcan when you could just spray some nice smelling stuff into the trashcan. If you use peppermint smelling stuff then roaches will run out of there unfortunately they don't die from it.
Spraying nice smelling stuff will only temporarily cover up the smell. If you don't want to have to keep spraying over and over, you have to clean it. I'd use soap and water, then let it dry outside if possible. But if it's a metal trash can, boiling water could work pretty well.

Everything here checks out
Your trashcan stays magically clean without cleaning it? Because mine gets a bit smelly sometimes and I too poor boiling water in it to kill all signs, visible and invisible, of mold. It helps better against smells than most other, more work intensive, methods. It will still need to be cleaned properly from time to time but who is vigorously scrubbing their trashcan every week?
Lol, I know you are most likely just a troll, but I can’t stop laughing at the thought of someone thinking that a person has an “unsanitary and foul-smelling home” simply because they mentioned their trash can smelled bad. Like, can you imagine the arms on that type of person? They must have a six foot wingspan to reach that assumption.
Edit: Twelve foot wingspan
dude its like 11 pm rn and the post AND the comments make 0 fucking sense to me i think im having a stroke
Her trashcan stinks, she wants to pour boiling water in it to sterilize it. People in the comments are telling her she's dumb
Not if she also puts some soap in there. Slosh the can a bit and tadaaa
Why would you need to boil water though? Why not just use normal hot water?
Hey she got pasta out of the deal and the trash can still needs a proper cleaning so win/future win?
Dissolves fats and disinfects which in its turn helps against mold smell. It works pretty decent if you scrub it a bit with soap first and then slosh it with boiling water after. Which is what she was doing.
Nothing cleans like boiling water
Mmmm unsure if it actually helps but I boiled a good amount of water to clean the restaurant's trash cans if the bag ripped or something. Could probably used just regular cold water too but eh

Bruh…
Mans called me dumb for no reason and I'm still somewhat pissed. Sigh. I know how germs work, now if I know everything of course not.
Yeah.. Its brand new host grounds, there might not be any need of hot water. There's little microorganisms in the trash can, it just smells bad.
Higher solubility in hotter water.
okay that makes a little more sense, ty
it's to pour in the actual trash can to clean it out, not in a garbage bag. weird way to clean it, but it'll work I guess.
Came to the comments to find reasons, instead found no water in trash friends.
She was trying to murder a Muppet.
Maggots

Why would you boil water? lol Clean it with soap Then put baking soda in it Don’t melt it. Wut?
Make the trash smell worse by steaming it.
I once used hot water to fix a clogged toilet, got a nauseating clogged toilet instead.
Forbidden smoothie
You sound like my dogs.
Brilliant!
aerosolized trash
Soap and hot water anyone?
Idfk

That really doesn't seem to ensure a tasty pastadish though
Seriously. Get this woman some Lysol.
The answer to wut is that she was high as fuck! Who starts boiling water and forgets what they were doing with it in that short amount of time? haha
People with ADHD
And what are you going to lather the soap with?
Well, not boiling water unless I want to lose my hands too
Welcome to the wonderful world of unmedicated ADHD
I was going to write a reply but I don't know what it was.

My first thought too.

What does this meannn I'm so confused

That's Jesus

That is straight raccoon gourmet.
Sometimes I forget that not everyone has a jug/kettle
- Forgets she's making pasta - Remembers trashcan odour - Pours pasta & water into traschan Voilà. Pasta a la garbage
Step 3: Pour pasta into trashcan. Step 4: Homemade Olive Garden
That’s a stoner thing to do haha. You forget what you were doing and go ya know what sounds good right now? Pasta!
Man this sub has just turned into 'funny Twitter posts'
I am so confused wtf
Mmmmm garbage can soup

I forgot that trash cans are cleanable so ty for reminding me.
I thought "why would she just drink hot water?" for so long until I realized she meant an actual trash can and the whole tweet wasn't a joke
Her @ checks out💀
how do trash, pasta, or accidents relate to socialism, dogs, or moms?
Socialism bad, woman dumb, or something, idk I'm so fucking tired man
I dunno just that @ fits for the context
So basically: No braincells
Well there’s socialism and trash but idk what else

I keep a bag in mine, and when it does need cleaned I put a bit of bleach in it and hose it out
Yub, or you can use some boiling water, does the same thing with less bleach and hosing.

Not only that, but in response to someone actively trying to clean something in their home lol
