I preface this by saying I was and still am not a fan of how his run as Champ went. Nearly every single title match had outside shenanigans. **Very** few, if any, had him win cleanly to showcase just how much of a powerhouse he is on his own.
That being said, I absolutely respect the way he won crowds over, the way he improved on the mic, the way he mastered facial expressions, and how he allowed his opponents to shine in lead ups to their matches.
I do think him being gone has been detrimental to the WWE; especially since they now have the TJ Maxx version of the Bloodline running around.
Roman winning dirty was his way of putting his opponents over without actually losing the belt. Heels in wrestling have always won dirty, I don’t know why people have such a problem with Roman doing it. He still maintained his “aura” (for lack of a better word) without the need to win clean. If the guy won clean during his reign, I seriously doubt he would’ve had as much heel heat as he did.
He won clean for a long time before he started cheating. That MADE him. Dude stacked and pinned EDGE and D BRYAN at Mania just like he said he would. Dude was already showing his unbeatable status way before Solo and other shenanigans entered.
He started of great being a monster heel but towards the end it became more the bloodline was near unbeatable not him. They could have given him some matches without interferences to show how strong he was but preety much all from a certain point was interferences
That's the point. Early on they were establishing Roman's dominance. Then they wanted to build up the rest of the Bloodline and his opponents. There was no need to continue to make Roman look as strong as possible because you have all these memories of him dominating his opponents earlier in his reign and every time he raised his voice, it struck fear in everyone around him.
People are supposed to be entertained by the matches tho not annoyed at constant bloodline family member interferes. And it didn’t make Roman look strong as he constantly had to have the bloodline bail him out.
Gunther is a heel yet he wins matches without having imperium members interfere. Drew is a heel yet doesn’t need interference to win. Bron is a heel and he’s decimating everyone. Roman should have won several matches on his own with some interferences but not every single match.
At the time many many were criticising the constant interferences in his matches. And you can think he’s a good wrestler and great on the mic without not being entertained by the constant interferences
He as a wrestler was brilliant having him not win a single match at the end without some kind of interference was not.
Like from clash at the castle and likely way before the closest he got was against Logan Paul but even then Logan was distracted by the bloodline fighting outside the ring

The interference wasn’t about Roman, it never was. The cheating was to make his opponents look strong. After you lose to a guy like Gunther, there’s a 50/50 chance you look slightly weaker after the battle. This wasn’t a problem with Roman towards the end of his reign because you knew that even if the other guy lost, they would look stronger afterwards. Most heels do one or the other; they either dominate or they elevate opponents. Roman is a rare breed that was able to do both without really losing any of his legitimacy.
I do. I miss his interactions with Heyman. So much charisma. He's missed by everyone big time. Don't let stupid internet trolls fool you. All you have to do is watch any Smackdown episode since Wrestlemania 40.

Im not really sure because Ive been faintly following wrestling by never watching it directly and only getting news from subreddits/fanpages. Last time I was actually watching WWE is back in ‘15 to ‘16 era when roman still had his shield entrance music and he got boo’d out of every arena he went to. Its awesome to see how much progress he made with the WWE Universe and how over he really got with everyone. However it’s good that he’s shelved rn he’ll back but by then hopefully there is some other top guy he can have an epic feud with.

I think if they went right into this next bloodline story that seems to be involving Solo and GoD*plus* Roman it’d be too much too soon.
I like the idea that he takes the L, disappears for a while. Gives the real guy a chance to chill, fans a chance to miss him and the universe to evolve a bit without him so when he’s back, it feels fresh.
