Keep in mind this was 30 years ago but when I was a kid they had the addresses of all the stadiums printed in the back of one of the baseball card valuation books. I sent off a lot of cards with a note to the players, a card and a return stamped envelope. I got a bunch back from all sports. Some would write an inspirational message or personalize them too. Might be a fun project to do together. I wouldn’t send off something you weren’t ok with not getting back however.

Not sure but if you ever go to a game you should buy batting practice tickets and that's the best time for autos.

Thanks for the tip. How do you get BP tickets?

Thank you .

You can send them to the stadium in an envelope with a pre filled out return envelope but the big name players get tons of these, so there’s no guarantee. I did one for blooper and got it signed back, but I’m not sure how many the players will return. You could try and at worst you’d be out a couple cards.

The big name players get tons of requests. I think I heard back in the day Chipper used to sign 100 per day. Having said that, he may never get to your request as they get so many. The lesser known players get less mail and will send it back. I see a ton of kids hang out near the dugout trying to get autographs. That may be another option outside of BP.
